Describe the target audience for your widget or app
Our Audience is an older female demographic.
What are 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your widget or app design?
We are designing (re-designing) our CSS drop down menu navigation, so we want to convey the categories that are available, as well as various other navigational topics. On a higher level, we want to let the user know we Help Them Discover Great Art.
Style and Concept
What widget or app design styles do you like?
Our upcoming redesign is available to preview at:

We are dropping the left nav bar on the site and are redesigning the top menu CSS dropdowns as well (that is this project).
We want something that shows the art, so our current thinking is around when you scroll over a category for instance, a nice big picture would show up of an example piece of art in that category. You can see an example of this if you go to the address above and scroll over Categories. Generally we need a CSS drop down menu concept that looks amazing and conveys that we are an upscale art site.
What colors do you want to see in your widget or app design?
Currently our hover color is #207378 and we use black, white and gray in the site. We are a little scared about a black background dropdown menu because of the readability issues involved.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your widget or app design?
Black background with white text is hard to read so we are trying to avoid that.
What adjectives should best describe your widget or app design?
Amazing, Artful, Slick, CSS
What content must be included in the widget or app design?
We are looking for the dropdown to have big pictures of our art in it as you drop down different items.
Do you have additional requirements or links you'd like to share?
