Business Info
Business Name
Midwest Water Group
What do you do?
Midwest Water Group is a manufacturer's representative agency. We act as "hired guns" for manufacturers to sell and promote their products in our designated territory. We work primarily in the water and sewer markets, selling to municipalities (Public Works Departments).
Do you have a desired email template size?
I'm inclined to say 850px max, but I want it to preview well in programs like Outlook.
Which third party email vendor do you use to send emails?
Target Audience
What is your industry?
Government and Municipal
Describe the target audience for your email template design
Public Works Directors, Civil Engineers, Resellers/Distributors
What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your email template design?
New Technology, Innovative Solutions, Experienced Company
Style and Concept
What email template design styles do you like?
clean, engaging, easy to scan for information (a.k.a organized layout)
I like one part of the Pottery Barn Templates - the section on recommendations for you. Would be interesting to see how this could be incorporated. What I'm thinking is that the HTML is for a specific product highlight, but perhaps we have complimentary products that would create interest. This section could be at the bottom so that I could remove the section if it didn't apply to the specific email.

What colors do you want to see in your email template design?
They should mimic our colors. You can consult our website (www.midwestwatergroup.com) to get an idea of what we promote and the layout of our website.
What colors do you NOT want to see in your email template design?
Anything that clashes with our main company colors.
Our main colors are blue, silver/grey, white, green
What adjectives should best describe your email template design?
Eye-Catching. Let's face it, we all get so many emails, I want mine to stand out!
What content must be included in the email template design?
1.) A place for downloads (such as our product line card, case study, pricing, specification or drawings - perhaps illustrations for each item that will pop out at someone?)
2.) A place for 1-2 pictures
3.) We may have product videos, it would be nice to have a place for that
4.) Main headline which would be the title of the product promotion
5.) Body with text and bullet points
6.) An area so we can put our manufacturer's logo. For example, the email will be from Midwest Water Group, but we'll be highlighting a specific manufacturer product so we want a place to put their logo.
7.) Then there is the obvious header and footer information. The footer should have our contact information and sales rep information. The header should be generic enough that I can use it over and over and over again for my weekly email blasts. I hate to use things like "newsletters" or "product spotlight" but I'll leave it to your creativity.
Do you have additional requirements or links you'd like to share?
I have Adobe Suite including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator so we are looking to have this coded for Dreamweaver after we select the winning entry for easy editing. We are willing to negotiate an additional price for coding.
Here are some links to past HTMLs that we have sent out (scary huh?)
