Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

What does your company do?

We are an IT company, currently providing managed services to small business who now want to use our knowledge learned from an urban environment to help our country cousins. Whilst we grew up providing reliable quality solutions in the cities we have been working in the agriculture sector for the last decade and now want to present our premium technology and remote support offering to the increasingly broadband connected but often neglected rural businesses. Due to their remote location these significant business have often had to drive for hours to get the latest technology or help when her need it - we aim to change that by providing quality business tested solutions to help these rural businesses and help secure their remote and increasingly insecure environment.

Do you require that a .COM or other URL be available for the new name?

I will accept a .com with an acceptable variation on the exact name

What is your industry?

Software and InfoTech

Describe your customers

Farmers, orchardists and any other rural or country based businesses

What 3 things do you want your company name to communicate to your customers?

Friendly and approachable.
Premium quality technology sales and support.
Big City Service but tailored for the country.

List the names of your top three competitors

Weirdly there really is very little competition in this sector. Our main competition are the major technology retailers in the cities where our potential customers have previously driven hours to then have been supplied something they didn't need, got it all the way home and then struggled with it until having to take it back to town for support.
One competitor providing rural security cameras is mi5security.com

What character, tenor, or spirit do you wish to convey?

Clean and green with a foot in both the town and the country. Friendly and approachable. Plain English speakers - no geek speak! Corporate business style services but for the country.

Brief updates

unique .com URL not necessary...we will be using a .co.nz URL
By dimsim on 15-Jul-14 6:12 a.m. GMT
A lot of these entries would be almost impossible to generate a suitable functional descriptor or tag line for.. please bear this in mind before submitting an entry, the entry needs to work for all three of these parts

By dimsim on 15-Jul-14 8:33 p.m. GMT
Please refrain from referring to anything software or tech related and avoid anything that is too long. A conjoined word relaying the broader sense of what we do and where we operate with a mild tech feel seems to be where we want to be as opposed to something like Computer or Farm which narrows our field and is far to simplistic and obvious.

Please explain your entries!! and don't include words or variants of words we've requested not to be included... IT Farm Computer Tech etc etc

We are not a software company, e.g Soft and we don't connect people Connect, Wave etc

Although it mayappear clever to include obscure words from a thesaurus or dictionary out clients wont be bothered using these tools to try and decipher our name - they will simply go somewhere else

....and simply copying words from the brief to form an entry wont be considered or commented on.

So many entries clearly ignored the brief, using unwanted words or just made little or no sense. At this stage there are only one or two entries that we've bothered to critique internally but even those are a long way from the finish.
