Government & Municipal
In support of the government’s innovation agenda, Transport Canada, through Budget 2017, has created a Task Force to enable the safe deployment of drone (unmanned/remotely piloted aircraft) technology. The Task Force is responsible for implementing new regulations, standards and programming; strengthening stakeholder engagement with various levels of government, industry, and international partners; promoting innovation through support to research and development, pilot projects and test sites; and developing a whole-of-government drone strategy to address the long-term and multi-jurisdictional social, economic, and safety challenges associated with this transformative transportation technology.
To help implement new drone safety regulations, Transport Canada will be conducting a drone safety education and awareness campaign to help people be aware of and understand the importance of complying with the drone rules.
We need a great tagline to set the tone for our drone safety education efforts! Can you help us?
Top 3 Things
Safety, innovation, and fun
Our primary audience is drone pilots, and in particular those first-time flyers who are using drones for the fun of it (i.e. not for business purposes).
We expect that drone pilots are of all ages, but would particularly like to target the younger audience (<30 years old). We expect that drone pilots are mostly tech-savvy, but may not know much about the world of aviation.
Think Safety First
Informative/authoritative without boring/alienating users
Supportive of fun and innovative uses of drones
Creative should NOT use
Nothing offensive or controversial
Be conscious of diversity of audiences
