What does your company do?
We provide products and services that help the aging and disabled continue to live in the comfort of their own home as long as possible. As people age (or as a result of injury or disability), they begin to lose mobility and can no longer perform many tasks in their home without help, such as bathing or walking up stairs. Their home becomes unsafe and many become fearful of living on their own. Every year, one out of every three adults aged 65 and older fall in their home. Falls are the leading cause of injury related deaths in older adults. Majority of these falls occur in the bathroom, getting into or out of the tub. Therefore, our main product line is walk-in tubs. We also sell patient lifts, home ramps, grab bars, floor lighting and other products designed to help prevent falls. We provide a free consultation to assess the client's abilities and home and identify the changes, assistive devices and/or services they need to meet their goal of living in their home as long as possible. They have no obligation to buy anything from us. We are a full service company that both sells and installs the tubs, lifts and other products. We also offer services including home maintenance (such lawn care, changing light bulbs & smoke and carbon monoxide alarm batteries, pressure washing the house, etc), sitting services, running errands, meal preparation and other services that someone trying to live independently may need.
We chose the name "Independent Again!" because after people use their tub/ramp/etc, virtually all say, "Thank you so much. Now I am independent again!" (or something similar).
The concept of continuing to live in your own home as you age is called "aging in place", although it is a relatively new term that most people do not yet know. The term can be somewhat confusing because some retirement communities are marketing their communities as a place to "age in place" - of course, that is after you leave your home and move there! We do not necessarily want "age in place" as part of our tag line, but want a name that conveys the meaning, idea or feeling that it represents.
Do you have an existing tagline or tagline(s) that you've previously used?
No. On our logo project (also on this website), we listed "Live life in your own home" just to convey the spirit of what we want the logo to convey, but we are not using that phrase as our tag line. We're considering "Your Life, Your Way, Your Home", but it's still not quite what we want.

Describe your audience
Individuals 55 years old and older who want to remain in their own home as they age, or family members seeking solutions to help their aging parent/grandparent/other relative continue living in their home rather than a retirement, assisted living, nursing home or other facility. Also disabled individuals or their family members seeking solutions to help them live in a home environment. Generally middle to upper class with the resources to make some home modifications to continue to live in the home. However, not all assistive devices or modifications are expensive and some individuals may qualify for grants (such as VA home modification grants for veterans).
What 3 things do you want your tagline to communicate to your audience?
1. That we can help them remain in the comfort of their own home
2. Independence - both in the sense of freedom from the captivity/rules of living in an assisted living or retirement home and ability to care for themselves again
3. Renewed life, i.e. we can help them regain the lifestyle they had before they became unable to bathe independently, get out of bed unassisted, reach their kitchen cabinets, countertops or appliances, etc

None. Our only true competitor (same products & services in the same area of the country) is Stay Home (www.stahomealabama.com), which does not have a true tagline. Their website says "Aging in Place Accessibility" more as a statement of what they do than a tagline. We want a memorable tagline, not just a description of our company.
