Software & Technology
About Your Company
Shifted Energy developed a device called Tempo and software called Grid Maestro that together allow utilities to control residents' water heaters to help the utility balance the grid. We install the Tempo near water heaters so that utilities can heat the water when renewable energy is available (sun is shining or wind is blowing) and turn them off later when the grid needs to lower demand on the system. This allows the now grid-interactive water heaters (GIWH) to work similar to a battery as they "charge" and store the hot water for use later. When we install our device in multiple apartments in one building, then we can provide the utility greater capacity and services faster. The people who pay for our services are typically utilities, but it's important that residents and property managers understand how the whole thing works as we need their buy-in to make it happen. The utility also provides a small rebate to participating households. While the brochure will mainly be for people in the energy sector, we want to have the graphics and icons to help lay-people understand what we do.
Colors to Explore
We have uploaded our very basic style guide, written copy of our brochure that we will likely edit later in the INDD format, and a PDF of detailed instructions of what we're looking for with the graphics and icons. The written copy includes descriptions of the images we'd like to see and where. We would like our brochure to be inspired by our logo's style and colors. We want the graphics to include icons with a shared style that describe each part of our work that we can reuse later in multiple forms of media.
Top 3 Things
Innovation, simplicity, reliability
Clean, clear, simple, accessible, bright and professional.
We'd like to have the graphics (Duck curve graphic and supply chain graphic) and icons in EPS format and the brochure itself in INDD. The supply chain graphic we'd like to be vertical along the side of the third page of the brochure as well as another separate version using the same images and icons but in a horizontal format for use elsewhere.
