About Your Company
I am a novelist. The book I am seeking a cover for is a horror/suspense novel called THE GHOST TRACKS. My target audience is horror/suspense readers.
Erasmo Cruz is a broke 23 year-old, living in a rough neighborhood in San Antonio, Texas. When he was 19, an eyewitness claimed that an unconsious Erasmo was pulled to safety by the the ghost children that supposedly haunt San Antonio's famous Ghost Tracks. Now in desperate need of cash, Erasmo attempts to exploit this incident and places an ad on Craigslist claiming to be a “paranormal expert”.
After placing the ad, Erasmo slowly becomes entangled in the strange lives of three clients: Billy, a drifter who claims he can see the future; Leander, a murder suspect who is certain he is being chased by a vengeful spirit; and Nora, a woman who believes her son is possessed by a demon. Certain that they are irrational and unstable, Erasmo is shocked when the drifter correctly foresees several events, the child does indeed show signs of possession, and the suspect actually appears to be haunted by a spirit.
As Erasmo witnesses this series of inexplicable events, he attempts to unravel their mysteries, including the biggest one of all. When he was 19, did he crawl to safety himself as he remembered, or was he really saved by the children of the Ghost Tracks?
The author is Celso Hurtado.
This is an ebook cover, so a height/width ratio of 1.6:1 and the height should be at least 2,500 pixels.
Colors to Explore
The only text will be the THE GHOST TRACKS, and my name, Celso Hurtado. Images of small, white handprints (as if someone had baby powder on his hands and then touched something) is an idea I had, but not a necessity.
Top 3 Things
A sense of eeriness and fear.
The name of the book comes from an urban legend in San Antonio. Here is a link that explains it: http://www.weirdus.com/states/texas/road_less_traveled/children_of_the_tracks/index.php. I was thinking of something fairly straightforward, like a black background with little white handprints scattered on the cover, with the title featured large and prominent on the top. However, I am open to ANY suggestions.
