Business Info
Who are you?
My name is Ron Franscell. I am a bestselling crime author and journalist. I wrote the bestsellers "The Darkest Night" (true crime) and "Angel Fire" (literary fiction). Like many successful traditionally published authors I am now experimenting with some self-publishing options.
The Crime Buff's Guide to Outlaw Arizona is the latest in a series that has been traditionally published up to this point, but now I'm taking the series in an exciting new direction under my own imprint.

What do you need?
I need the cover design for "The Crime Buff's Guide to Outlaw Arizona." The book's format will be a standard 6-x-9-inch trim and the final image must be at least 300 dpi.
The book is a collection of about 150 historic true-crime entries, dozens of photos, and GPS coordinates for significant sites associated with those crimes. So the cover should be a little edgy, a little haunting, and reflect an Arizona/desert/desolate feel.
The first four books in this series were published by Globe Pequot Press with absolutely awful covers. You can see them on Amazon, but they would be examples of what I DON'T want or need.
Who Is Your Audience?
True-crime buffs, history buffs, Arizona locals and vacationers, Southwesterners in general.
