Who are you?
My name Mary Noon and I am wedding planner in Los Angeles, California. We are boutique firm and produce about 15 weddings per year. We are publishing our very first book and need help designing the cover. The book will be sold online and in our bridal box, which is a toolkit for organizing your big day. Regarding our brand and who we are - we are very high end, classy, love simplicity, negative space, contemporary design, elegance, and black and white. I think less is more. I also love very loosely written calligraphy and light weight fonts. You can learn more about Mary Noon Events by visiting www.marynoonevents.com.

What do you need?
I am writing a book and need to design a book cover. When setting up your document, please use a bleed of 0.125 on all sides, and make sure your background extends to the outer edge of the bleed. The dimensions for the book cover are as follows:
11.53" wide (the spine is 0.53") and the front and back are both 5.50" the height is 8.50".
Who Is Your Audience?
I am targeting brides who are between the ages of 25 and 35 years old. They are recently engaged and getting married in the next 15 to 18 months. They love looking at sites like Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, Grey Likes Weddings, Once Wed, 100 Layer Cake, etc. They are planning to spend $45,000 to $65,000 on their upcoming nuptials. Just think very high-end, classy, well educated, stylish, very savvy, loves design, etc.
We Like These Examples
Just think Chanel (the brand) in terms of design/style and I'll probably be very happy! Very clean, contemporary, simple, less is more, etc. I like thin line weights, loose calligraphy, nothing too constricted. I've attached a sample of a book cover we designed in-house to give you an overall idea of our style. I am leaning toward typography/text verses having an image, but I am definitely open to seeing what a photograph looks like. The other attachment entitled Article-9-Image is our brand board. It is who we are as a company. Please reference this as you design our cover.
We Absolutely Must Have
I am leaning toward everything being black and white and having a lot of negative space. I've attached a sample/quick mock-up of something we created, but it needs a little TLC. The book title is "After the Ring" and then we will have the following subtitle "The Ultimate Guide to Planning Your Wedding". That will go underneath the title. The book is by Mary Noon. I would love for the title of the book (After the Ring) to be in calligraphy and the rest of the text to be simple/clean and thin line weight. The back of the book will have testimonials from recent brides, so please put dummy text on the back of the book. The style of Calligraphy I like is on the attachment Article-9-Image.
