Twitter Link Roundup #146 – Small Business, Social Media, Design, Copywriting, Marketing And More

Every day on the crowdSPRING Twitter account and on my own Twitter account, I post links to posts or videos I enjoyed reading or viewing. These posts and videos are about logo design, web design, startups, entrepreneurship, small business, leadership, social media, marketing, and more! Here are some of the links that I’ve liked and shared this past week!

The video above shows a classic Ray Charles performance of “What’d I Say”, performed live in Paris in 1968. There’s an interesting story around that song. A decade prior, Ray Charles and his band finished their set during a show in the Midwest. It was around 1 am and they needed to fill out the rest of the time. Ray Charles told the band that he’s “going to fool around and y’all just follow me.” The result was this little tune they made up on the spot “to kill a little time.” The song ultimately became a hit on the rhythm and blues charts, and also on the pop charts.  It was Ray Charles’ first cross-over hit – and his first gold record. So next time you have a little… umm… time, fool around and see what you create.
