Maybe it's an outdated principle, but I believe that an artist should know how to draw, or at least be able to design a two- or three- dimensional THING that conveys SOMETHING... something other than an in-joke, an intended bafflement for the viewer. I have developed a new painting medium, am working on a kit of same that I plan to market soon.
