Brief updates

9-Apr-13 5:38 p.m. GMT
Several folks have asked if we have screenshots available for use in the design. The product is not finished and is in a high state of flux right now, so there aren't any screenshots that we can show off at the moment.
11-Apr-13 3:58 p.m. GMT
Clarification to the previous message: please don't use hypothetical screenshots as placeholder images for our product. For example, if you wanted to show a dashboard or chart of some kind, use a stylized representation rather than trying to mock up a specific image.

Also, in several cases we've seen designs that lift screenshots directly from another similar software product or website. This is a violation of their copyright, so please don't do that.

Thanks, and please let us know if you have any questions!

What our ratings mean:

-- [5 stars] means: Flawless, or so close that it might as well be. A nearly-perfect realization of what we were looking for.

-- [4 stars] means: Outstanding work. We might have some comments or minor edits that we'd like to make.

-- [3 stars] means: Solid work, but possibly missing a few nuances that'd help push it over the top.

-- [2 stars] means: Acceptable work, but lacking key elements or aspects that we think are important.

-- [1 star] means: Missing major pieces, contains major errors, or otherwise not following our brief in substance.

-- [0 stars] means: This entry is not in line with what we asked for or badly misunderstands the goal of the project.

In response to some designs that were having trouble fitting our feature text in a compact way, we've changed the text for the feature labels to make it shorter.

-- “One-click integration.”
-- “Automatic monitoring.”
-- “Real-time alerts.”

The brief document has been updated accordingly. Thanks, and please let us know if you have any questions.
