Creative brief

Business Name

Virtual Ministries Inc

What do you do?

irtual Ministries, based out of West Point GA with an additional office in Birmingham Alabama. Our company is a Christian 501c3 whose mission is:
-Helping churches add online Teen and Adult ministries to their real world ministries
-To provide free education to adults and kids about how to have safe FUN online and not miss out
-Building online experiences for all that are Christ centered (Facebook, gaming etc.)

Our business model is based solely on donations. We believe that donations will be received from churches (as an entity), church members (as an offering) or individuals (as a periodical contributor). These donations will be used to fund the development of new Christian missions, operating primarily online. Examples include our Facebook page "David's Shields", our plans to build an online education series on protecting children on the net, a Facebook app we are developing now called "Petdar" and other examples. In the future, and as we have financial contributors join us, they will direct the company's priorities for spending on missions, primarily operation online.

This brochure is the company's 1st brochure. We are in start up mode. It is very important we communicate the message effectively. We believe our target audience is the mother and father in the church pew, church staff and church pastor. We will also use this brochure on our website which is in design and will be launched 1Q2013. We believe the best approach is to create a web site which is informative, functional, and can be used for both general informative purposes and for guiding readers to next steps to join with us.

Further, we believe there is a critical issue facing our youth and Christianity and we would sum it up as:

"The Pew Research center reports that the average youth is spending 4.5 hours per day online and it is probably not at your church website. Online porn, gambling, sexting and other influences continue to bombard our kids. It is time we Christians worked aggressively together to learn how to protect our kids and create online ministries".

Our web site needs to communicate this in a way that is direct about the problem, yet promotes Virtual Ministries as a positive force that connects Christians to work together to provide alternatives. A deck is attached that provides contextual information - but be advised the deck is being used as a script for our video. We will need to include more info about VM in the brochure then what is contained in the video.

Our budget is a concern as we are in start up and this brochure will be used to help us recruit and create a formal company board whose job will be to raise funds. We would appreciate your estimate on cost/quote up front.

-The vision for VM is to create an alternative "Virtual World" experience that is Christ focused and connects with teens and young adults where they spend alot of their time - online/connected. Do you have additional requirements or links you want to share?

-All copy needs to be reviewed and included.
-As examples of online ministries, we currently have the following that need to be included in our website design on the about us page:

-Petdar - Get your pets on the Radar! -Based on Proverbs 12:10 "A righteous man cares for his animals", Petdar is a facebook application suitable for all ages that promotes fun and socialization through your own pets. The Lord provided all animals for us to shepherd over and this ministry demonstrates our love for God's animals while creating an atmosphere of fun and community. Petdar is in beta but you can try it anytime by clicking here or visiting Facebook and typing "Petdar" into the Facebook search field.

David's Shields Devotional Facebook page - 2 Kings 11:10-12 speaks to the power of King David's Shields that hung upon the temple walls and were taken down by the priest and used to arm the soldiers that protected the new King.

God's missions and ministries in His Kingdom are shields used to arm all Christians with increased faith and we believe that this is true for all "worlds" of His Kingdom be they physical, spiritual or virtual. David's Shields was created to arm ordinary men and women in the virtual world with information about online missions and ministries in order to promote His work and Your faith. We hope you will subscribe to our page on facebook and receive a daily update on a new Christian mission or ministry online that will build your faith and possibly lead to your own mission.

-World Of Warcraft (WOW) is an online "virtual world" game that is visited by millions of people each year, including children. Players assume avatars to do battle in a world of dungeons, castles and far away lands. Our WOW guild, also entitled "David's Shields" is a group of like-minded Christians playing the game while motivating each other towards God's Word.
