Create two solutions for InfoDome’s solution catalog.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Create a Webinar Registation Form and an Asset Tracking Form for InfoDome’s solution catalog. (https://secure.infodome.com/solutions.jsp). Each solution will contain one form and one report.

InfoDome lets web designers visually create an online database solution – without a database/web developer. From reg. forms and surveys to product catalogs and inventory tracking, InfoDome makes it simple to create the database (either from scratch or by importing data), and then build forms and reports WYSIWYG to be shared with users or embedded in a website.

We're looking for an online database solution (i.e., at least one form and report) that showcases InfoDome's power, simplicity and appeal.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Complete both solutions per crowdSPRING entry.

Solution 1: Webinar Registration Form
a. Create a webinar registration form. Embed this in an HTML page.
b. Create a report that displays who is attending the webinar

Solution 2: Asset Tracking Form
a. Create an Asset Tracking form. Embed this in an HTML page.
b. Create a report that displays images submitted.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The market for InfoDome includes web designers and developers, and database and spreadsheet users – people who create solutions to manage, analyze and share data.

The InfoDome solutions catalog lets anyone click to get a pre-built solution. We’d like you to create a solution with broad appeal – something that a lot of visitors to our site would say, "Wow, I'd love that solution for my website or company." It might be a simple but elegant registration form and report, or a product listing/catalog, or whatever you come up with.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Must Have:
1. Each solution must have at least one form and one report. The form must be embedded in a plain HTML page.

2. Data should be sample, not real, or be allowed to be used in a public solution.

3. Contest submissions should be individual screen shots of the form(s) and report(s) – each in Data mode showing the field values, not in Design mode showing field names. For example, if your solution is one form and one report, you would submit two screen shots, one of each.

4. You’ll need to create a free InfoDome account, including clicking the link in your registration confirmation email.

5. Your solution submissions should be named:
[your crowdSpring user ID] Solution Name

     examples:
Your first entry
     DesignerABC_Webinar_1
     DesignerABC_Asset_Tracking_1
Your second entry
     DesignerABC_Webinar_2
     DesignerABC_Asset_Tracking_2

Nice to Have:
1. Solutions with more than one form or report are encouraged.

2. Contestants are encouraged to use the InfoDome forum for product or technical support and feedback: http://infodome.uservoice.com/pages/31604-general

3. Contestants are welcome to invite crowdspringuser@infodome.com as a User of their solution forms and reports – this provides us a clearer view of the solution rather than just the screen shots. It's easy to create a Person in InfoDome and give User rights to forms and reports, without giving rights to the underlying database, tables and relations.

4. Contestants are welcome to comment on their solution entries on crowdSPRING either publicly or privately to us.

5. There are many formula, style and formatting options for forms and reports; we look forward to your creativity

6. We encourage you to do the Getting Started Tutorial after you create your InfoDome account - it''s the fastest way to learn the product.

7. We also encourage you to refer to the InfoDome Quick Reference Guide.

Should Not Have:
1. Solutions should not have data that can''t be shared publicly, or anything obscene, etc.

2. Please don''t criticize other contestants or entries – we''re just looking for creativity and a great solution

We're an iPhone development studio who's looking to find new and different user interfaces for our applications. We've built a new version of an existing application that we have on the AppStore that adds a ton of new great features; however, we're not happy about the interface. We'd like to see what some people can come up with.

Mobile Phone Application Two Screens and Background

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We (ProOnGo) have a mobile software solution called Receipt Reader, which enables users to file their expense reports simply by taking pictures of their receipts with a smartphone. Here is how it works:
•	Users snap pictures of their receipts with their mobile phone
•	Receipt images are automatically transferred to ProOnGo servers, and in a few moments the user gets back the recognized Merchant Name, Date, and Amount from the receipt (the new info pops up on their mobile phone)
•	Users submit their expense report right from their phone, in a variety of reporting formats (Excel, PDF, QuickBooks, with more to come)

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are creating a new “Getting Started Wizard”, a series of screens that our mobile users will see when they first install our application. There are three main screens we need you to design:
1)	Generic Background: A simple screen background that will be on our startup screens.
a.	The sample with 2 shades of gray is provided to show what we mean by background, but we know you are more creative than that.
b.	The background will need to go with the Account Login/Create Account Screens, where we’ll have simple text fields overlayed on the background. We can adapt button colors to match your background scheme.
2)	Splash Screen - The splash screen will be the first thing the user will see and needs to make a strong impression that communicates the “Receipt Reader” concept, and also ties in the fact that we do mileage and time tracking.
a.	The ProOnGo logo (http://www.proongo.com/beta/web/images/logo.png) needs to appear somewhere in the splash screen
b.	Any Images/icons/graphics need to be original art.
c.	The Benefits/features of our expense application:
i.	Receipt Image Capture, Receipt Reader service, and easy receiptstorage
ii.	Productivity, time, money savings
iii.	Effortless ways to create expense reports and track spending trends
iv.	Mileage Entry
v.	Sync expenses with accounting packages
3)	A graphical representation of what our Receipt Reader Service is – this is a hallmark feature of the product and will get its own dedicated screen in this wizard:
a.	Use a combination of words and text to communicate:
i.	Receipt Reader is a service/feature that allows a user to capture an image of a receipt, submit the receipt to our servers, and have the expense entry automatically created for the user. Without typing a user can add expenses, export formatted reports, and track expenses.
b.	The blank Receipt Reader Screen is provided so you know what buttons will be on the screen. We can choose button colors to match your color scheme
c.	Use your background from task 1.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Service Professionals. Consultants. Sales people.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

http://images.macnn.com/macnn/news/0906/iTweetReply_Screenshot.png

These three splash screens display application features/benefits in a clean concise manner.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Further Details
The graphics will be displayed on phones with resolutions from 240x320, 320x240, 360x420, 420x360, and 480x640. We will be resizing the graphic while maintaining the image aspect ratio depending on the screen resolution/orientation. We need your artwork to be provided in a layered .PSD file, so that we can easily resize your graphics as needed, and add/remove elements as our product evolves.

Open Source FTP for the cloud

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

The product is allows users to transfer files between different clouds, apis, ftp servers and a user's local computer.

Our starting point is to have a familar interface that is like an ftp client.

A user selects a source (ie. an S3 or FTP account), currently from a drop down liad and the folders/buckets/files are then displayed.

A destination is selected and the folders/files are also shown.

The drop down list will contain multiple accounts for multiple services ie,
FTP Accounts
- account name 1
- account name 2
S3 Accounts
- account name 1

The user selectes which files/folders to transfer and then these files are queued in a list at the bottom.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking for the design of the ftp like interface. Partly we are looking for an attractive layout in terms of colours, styles, icons etc, but also for different ways in which the user might use the service ie. selecting an account from a drop down list might be better displayed otherwise.

The design needs to be fast and lightweight.

An image of the current (programmer designed) app is attached to give an idea of the layout.

We only need the psd.

The Dystribute logo and the orange/grey bar remains the same. It is only the ftp interface we need designed.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Most users will have some technical experience and are very likely to be familiar with ftp clients.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

- keywords: clean, simple, crisp, few graphics, practical, lightweight, as few graphics a possible
- s3fox/filezilla

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

No strong colours
Background colour should be white
Files/folders should really be black text on a white background (rollovers are fine or light background for row differentiation)

Flash expert needed

We built a system that is a sign generator but unlike those online that make fake signs on jpgs this is for flash movies, here are 2 zip files pick either one, we did a test shoot of a girl writing then holding up the paper

WMV format: http://www.bodyguards.com/wmvcam.zip
MOV format http://www.bodyguards.com/movcam.zip

in your demo you will write something on that paper like

hi there
this is a test

we need this in fla and swf format wheras the text is text as in editable

this is a test, an attempt to find someone to work with on our 20+ model signs we are filming, the winner who makes this flawless in this test gets the money and potentially all the other sign work. This 1000 is for this demo only meaning this is all you have to do this proof of concept, you can decline any other work.

I had luck before on this site and im hoping to have some luck again.

Design 3 MySpace Application Surfaces

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

The application, "Sexii" allows users to rate other users attractiveness using their profile picture and flirt with them sending short messages with an icon attached. New users may already have ratings and/or flirts because existing users can rate and flirt with their friends who may not have installed the application yet.

The application can be accessed at http://www.myspace.com/sexiirated

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

The canvas, home and profile surfaces are not "designed" and currently lack consistency. I need a user interface that is consistent across these surfaces is "fun" to look at and use. Photos are obviously the most compelling component of the application and so they should be front and center whenever possible.

I need a Photoshop PSD that I can further manipulate if necessary to adjust sizes and make minor modifications as necessary.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our current user base is 14-19 year-olds that live in and around major US cities. We have a secondary demographic of 25-30 year-olds who use the application as well.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

TweetPhoto http://www.tweetphoto.com
FriendFeed http://friendfeed.com
mobileMe http://www.me.com
Mint http://www.mint.com
Really anything Apple http://www.apple.com

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

For the Canvas:
A way to rate users Sexii, send that user a flirt, see who's rated them Sexii (and reveal identities), see their flirts (and reveal identities), change their settings (including gender and age preferences), and view the "Top 10" style leaderboards with filters for gender and friends. Some sort of placement for a banner ads. We are not locked into the sizes or placements on the application currently.

For the Profile:
A compelling way to encourage people to rate and flirt with the user. Currently the profile only promotes rating flirting needs to more prominent or part of the flow.

For the Home Surface:
A summary of the users status within the application, including recent flirts, current photo and points balance from the Home Surface

Trivia Wild iPhone application logo and 2 screens

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Trivia Wild is a startup company with a simple motto - "Trivia - Anytime, Anywhere". We will be providing trivia games for many different devices, from the iPhone, to the Palm Pre, to the Xbox and Nintendo DS, and everything in between. Users will be able to track their statistics and see how they compare to other players through our website

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

This competition will focus on the first iteration of the iPhone trivia client. The deliverables include an iPhone logo based on the company logo provided, and two screens - a title screen and a gameplay screen. Templates have been provided for the iPhone screen and logo. We need the logo provided in a size of 512x512 and scaled and displayed on the template home screen so we know what the user will see.

The title screen should allow for multiple menu items (up to 5), but at this time they should just be named "Menu 1", "Menu 2", "Menu 3", "Menu 4", and "Menu 5".

The gameplay screen will have 4 elements:

1 - A section of the screen where a question will be displayed
2 - A section of the screen where 4 answers will be displayed
3 - A countdown dial
4 - A small "Menu" button

A basic outline of what is envisioned for item placement is provided, but feel free to rearrange at your discretion.

The biggest thing we are looking for is an easy to read display of questions and answers, with good button sizes that are easy to press. Fonts must be chosen with the purpose of being easy to read for all ages.

So, in summary here is what is needed:

1 - A 512x512 icon using the logo images provided
2 - A title screen with 5 menu items
3 - A game screen that shows the question, answers, countdown dial / display, and the menu button.

The last thing we are looking for would be to have the look and feel of the screens be consistent with the provided logo.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Casual, adult gamers, of both genders, with an iPhone

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Loud or distracting backgrounds, or fonts that are hard to read.

Invitation Widget and Email Visual Designs

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We're a browser-based virtual world company that provides social, interactive 3D experiences. People come to our destination through AIM, Facebook or elsewhere, and hangout and chat with each other, in addition to expressing themselves through their avatars, their scenes, and through their interactions with others.

http://www.vivaty.com

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are creating a simple gifting-invitation interface for our experience. Users can send virtual gifts to their friends via this interface. The friend receives an email notification about the gift, which compels them to check out the service. So we need 1) a visual design for the invitation widget, and 2) a visual design for the email.

It behaves similarly to any invitation service that is part of typical Facebook applications and social networks.

Specifications are attached in the details below.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

16-28 year old audience, with a female bias. Slightly sophisticated and trendy, but not bubble gum pop. Think Gossip Girl meets MTV. Little bit of a fashion and entertainment bias.

It's OK to make the design feel more feminine, but not so girl as to turn off potential male users.

Will only be accessed by PC users on IE/Firefox

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

- PopSugar (clean, elegant design, light and airy)
- Zynga's Poker and Gifting Invitation (add the zynga poker app on Facebook).
- Mint.com (light color scheme, easy to see where to go. like the headline font)
- vSide.com (kind of cool in terms of clubby/trendy, but too heavy and dark on colors)
- LuckyMag.com (again, light and airy, nice color palette. not too feminine)
- OSoYou.com (darker design, but good emphasis on fashion and aspiration)

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

1) Simple and clean design. Needs to be very clear what to do.
2) Some sophistication in visual. This may be the first thing people see when they log in. They need to understand what to do with clear calls to action, but they also need to think it's cool. We recommend using cutouts of our avatars to help spice it up.
3) Note: The attached mockup is only for reference. Don't consider it a blueprint. We're hoping you can make it much better and cleaner.
4) You're welcome to change the text and copy on the Invitation widget. We prefer that you use similar copy on the Email.
5) Try to keep a color palette that is related to our overall site: www.vivaty.com

"Trusted reference widget" for social shopping - user interaction and graphical design

TurnTo is leveraging portable social graphs (eg Facebook Connect...) to enable the next generation of social shopping. We provide a widget that enables ecommerce sites to connect visitors to friends and others who can advise them about the business or its products -- without ever taking the shopper off the ecommerce site. This enables shoppers to identify people they can "turn to" for trusted advice just when they need it, and it drives conversion and cross-sell for the site. In some sense, it's what Facebook Beacon should have been. To check it out, go to one of our partner sites (listed at http://www.turnto.com/partnerlist), sign up, then browse around the others.

We're looking for a design to take our widget to the next level. The basic functionality is there, but the visibility, user interaction model, and visual appeal can be much better. All aspects of the design are open to revision -- there are a handful of starter concepts in the private description, and I'm looking for designs that go everywhere from modest refinements to totally box-breaking.

Register/Login

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

NextDB.net is a secure, hosted database accessible from JavaScript. Unlike other databases, you don't need to write any serverside code to develop a web based application that uses NextDB.net. All you need is JavaScript and HTML, which makes NextDB a "mashable database". On top of our JavaScript API, we want develop widgets for common tasks like user login forms, photo galleries, blogs, etc.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

The purpose of this widget is to allow any mashup application to easily add user registration and login capability. This project will produce 5 user interface states (views) for a widget. These 5 states are the standard "register and login" functions that we are all accustomed to when we visit a site that requires registration.

The 5 states are: [Sign-up, Error-Correction, Submit, Login, and Challenge].

Each of the 5 views should be delivered as HTML using CSS for the style. Appropriate namespacing and encapsulation techniques should be used to minimize the chance of conflicts when the application developer embeds the widget in his page.

               text field: other
   -what year is it?
            radio buttons:[1980, 1990, 2000, 2008, other]
            text field: other
Submit button

Error Correction Mode (this is an additional view of the sign-up form):
=====================================================
For example:

At the top of the page, and near the submit button, place this text:
"Please correct the following mistakes: username must be at least 6 letters and/or numbers"

show a red asterisk (or something more creative!) next to username field, and creatively highlight the field to draw the user's attention towards it. Disable the submit button.

Submit Mode
=====================================================
When the user presses the submit button, we need to display a view that says:
"Thank you for signing up. An email has been sent to "john@doe.com". To activate your account, please click the link in the email. If you made any mistakes on the signup form, you can correct them after you log in."

Login Module
==========
Once a user has signed up, the signup form is replaced by a login form. We need:
username (text field)
password (text field)
forgot password (link) (points to Challenge screen)

Challenge
===================
If a user has forgotten his password, he is prompted with his challenge question. This module should display the challenge question, and have a text field for entering the response.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

This widget is targeted at JavaScript mashup developers who want to add a user sign-up and login module to their mashup. We want to make a best-of-breed sign-up module that can be customized with all the standard user sign-up fields. Mashup developer wants something that looks awesome, has a few canned styles to choose from, and can be custom-styles using CSS.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

All the views must be designed to occupy the same screen real-estate. This is because we will implement the transitions between the views using AJAX, so the page won't actually reload, but we can manipulate the DOM using JavaScript to update the view.
