Inland is a label printer mainly for the beverage industry, but we also print labels for the food, consumer products, dairy, and health &amp; beauty industries. We are a major player in the label industry, but we are a smaller company so while many know of us and the great work we do, we struggle with brand recognition across our industry. We want an updated brand look that is recognizable and professional without losing the brand recognition that we already have for our existing logo.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need an updated look for our business cards, letterhead and envelopes. The updated look for these items would then drive the look/format of our updated master PowerPoint template, printed literature and website.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our customers are mainly buyers in larger corporations. They may only procure labels or they might be involved in all aspects of packaging. The main message of our brand is that we are a family owned company that provides the best quality and the best customer service in the label printing industry. We consider ourselves the label experts and do everything we can to help our customers get labels that look and perform how they need/expect them to. We take pride in being a small company that is family owned, and feel it allows us to make decisions quickly - always doing what is best for the customer. We consider ourselves a leader in our industry for innovative ideas and introducing new products to the market.

The logo is attached. Our tagline uses Arno Pro Semi Bold font. 
We would like to see our slogan incorporated somewhere if possible &quot;The Label Experts!&quot;

Incorporating other/complementary colors might be a welcome change/addition to our look but is not necessary.

eBusiness Factory is launching a new destination eCommerce website which will educate and sell recycled plastic storage/moving containers. We don&apos;t currently have any logos or corporate colors, so you are starting with a blank canvas.

Our goal is to be the #1 trusted brand and website for anyone (B2B, B2C) looking to purchase recycled plastic storage/moving boxes and recycling/composting containers. 

Education will include the benefits of recycled plastic boxes over virgin plastic boxes and of course the benefits of plastic recycled boxes instead of cardboard boxes. We will also provide a compost solution and recycling containers. We will be writing/blogging regularly in an effort to educate our target audience and establish ourselves as the &apos;trusted advisor/expert&apos;.

We need complete Identity Generation from scratch (we don&apos;t have any identity yet...this is a brand new website for us). We need corporate logo, business card (two-sided, rich design), letterhead and envelope.

Please design/create Identity holistically understanding that what you create will drive the design/GUI for the website.

PlasticBoxesDirect.com is a subsidiary of eBusiness Factory. We should mention this somehow creatively...the fact that it is a eBusiness Factory company.

Our Target Audience Is
Both consumer and business customers who are looking to solve their moving and storage needs with recycled plastic boxes/containers as an alternative to cardboard.

We want to be a moderate brand which appeals to both liberals and conservatives. We do not want to be polarizing as too strong a &apos;green/eco-friendly&apos; company. The eco-friendly aspect is one of several unique selling proposititons (USPs) which include 1) Last longer 2) protect contents much better 3) eco-friendly recycled plastic.

RedMonk is an industry analyst company. That means that our clientele is generally software vendors, but that we spend a fair amount of time meeting and working with individual developers, DBAs, and so on. 

Our business is generally regarded as more bleeding edge than conservative; hip, if such a term can be applied to an industry analyst company. 

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A simple, elegant but borderline edgy design that will play as well in the hands of a suited executive as it will to a hacker in shorts and a black t-shirt. It should incorporate - to the extent - possible, the attached logo and designs, but it need not be a slave to them. 

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our primary target audience is clients (software executives and their support staff), public relations and media professionals, and technology industry workers (devs, designers, DBAs, etc).

I&apos;ve always been a fan of the Adult Swim bumps, with the Helvetica Neue fonts employed, but whether that would work on a card is open to question.

We would like to &quot;dress up&quot; our logo with a holiday theme to be used on a holiday letter that will be mailed to our clients and friends in the industry. We are looking for something with a holiday theme but not specific to any religion or belief. The letter may be our version of &quot;Twas the Night Before Christmas.&quot; The letterhead will be vertical, 8.5x11, classic linen paper.  The design can span anywhere in the margins of the paper. We are not limited to the existing colors of our logo and the new design can be four color. OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience includes current clients, previous clients, and people we call &quot;family &amp; friends&quot; which includes partners and associates we work with throughout the year. Many of these people have received holiday correspondence from us in the past in the form of a holiday card. This audience includes a wide range of people and organizations ranging from non-profits, foundations, associations and corporations both in and out of the education industry. Hi, I&apos;m getting married soon and I&apos;d like to incorporate both of our cultures into the design of the programs, invitations, etc. I am Bengali and my fiance is Korean. We are in our late 20&apos;s and early 30&apos;s. Alex is very funny and we are both very laid back. I&apos;d like to have some henna designs and Korean design elements. Wedding colors are navy and fuschia- feel free to use shades of those colors. We plan to have water lillies and orchids in the centerpieces. Neither of us are very traditional, so the design can be a modern interpretation.

I am looking for a design that we can use on wedding invitations and wedding programs. I&apos;d like for the design to either be centered on the paper or along the edges. A design that grows from opposite corners is ok, too.

We develop unique party and exergames using our patented real-time computer vision technology. Our games offer energetic and skill requiring physical gameplay and freedom of movement. The players interact by moving naturally and are tracked by a web camera (think next generation of EyeToy technology or something like the coming Microsoft Natal). We need a cool business card design that uses the attached logo files (full logo, just the text, or both).

Our games are edgy, modern, unique, energetic, stylish and innovative. The card design should reflect these feelings / values. It should have edge to differ but be stylish.

The card should not be boring or like an engineering corporate, but dynamic / stylish / edgy / cool.
It can possibly be a bit grunge but not so retro that the company being also high tech gets confusing. If retro, then stylish retro.

It would be good for the card to differentiate from your usual pile of business cards.

The cards will be printed two sidedly. Thus the design should have both front and back of the card.

The card size should be 90mm x 50mm and be rectangle in shape.

By minimum the card should contain the following information:
- Company logo (either the full logo or just the text part of the logo. Or e.g. full logo on the front side and just the framed text part on the back side or other way around)
- First Name, Last name, Title, email address and the phone number of the owner
The owner information should be clearly readable from the card (not tiny or with so much graphics that its messy)

If it fits well and works with the design, the card could additionally contain the following:
- Company www address: www.virtualairguitar.com 
- Company physical address: Tietäjäntie 4, 02130 Espoo, Finland (the address is not of high importance)

Colors
- There is no limit on the amount of colors
- If the full logo is used on black background we usually make it orange (r:255, g:144, b:0). When used on white it can be red as well.
- With the full logo we use the intact text. Using the text alone (when not too much space or when needs to be very clear) we either use the worn text or the worn text with frame.
- If using just the text, we usually use the mild orange-yellow gradient (in the file) or make it into constant orange on black background

memo tags are to be used for marking the necessary info on fabrics on the bolt in the store, and also attached to cuttings to be handed out to customers when they want to take a small cutting with them. these tags are to contain the following info: our stock number, manufacturer, fabric name, style number, retail price, width of bolt, and most importantly, our price per yard. a scan of a temporary tag showing a layout we are using is also attached.

in both cases, info can be re-arranged. we would love to see something that feels fresh.....but contains what we need it to.....

If you&apos;re wondering about who we are then take a look around the site - we&apos;re the guys who built this thing. But, most of all, we&apos;re building the creative marketplace - and that means that we&apos;re creative so anything we have that represents us (including our business cards) needs to be REALLY creative.

We need a stationery package that will eventually include business cards, letterhead and envelopes.  But, to be honest, the business cards are what we go through the most of (in fact, I don&apos;t think we&apos;ve ever used a piece of letterhead yet!) so let&apos;s definitely concentrate most of the effort on those.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our site is actually aimed at two totally different audiences: small businesses and designers.  Even though these groups are very different, they do have one thing in common: an appreciation for great creativity!  So, whatever design we choose has to be so good that it screams creativity. 1. Business Card - we normally print on thick stock. We use the back side to illustrate and identify parts of a drum. I would welcome some other item to put on the back side, or just to continue using the illustration.
2. Letterhead - Design can be on the top or side of a sheet but I prefer nothing on the bottom.
3. Envelope - All print must be on the front, nothing on the back flap.

For all three, we prefer a white base, orange accents, black type. The logo must be integrated.

Colors
Our main colors are burgundy, black and white with our floral graphic being gray or with the opacity (term?) treatment as seen on our site. You can introduce other colors into the design but we would prefer this be done only on the compliments card and accompanying sleeve which is included in all our shipments. The only main stipulation for color is that the burgundy be used in some way as it is our main color. 

Design
We like the design to be simple, elegant with a bit of whimsy which we have worked into the site with the floral graphic and placement of our butterfly icon. Please don&apos;t include any other components or tacky cliche items or graphics like hangers, clothing etc. 

Floral Graphic
We have included a file of the actual dingbat where the design was taken from, please try to stick with the versions you see on our website, so none of the big rose bulbs, but the others are fine. The graphic is found on the top our of homepage and on product description pages. If you feel it competes too much with our logo it is not necessary to incorporate it into all items of our our stationery suite, we would however like it to be used in our compliments card or compliments envelope or both. Whatever you think works. Also, if you find another similar floral graphic elsewhere please feel free to use it if it compliments your design. It just needs to be a soft and subtle graphic.

Compliments Card
There will be pre-printed text within the compliments card so you will need to consider the font and show the submission with the font. We have included an example from another company, Piperlime, to give you an idea of size and what we include in our shipments, it&apos;s just an example.

Printing
You need not heed the cost of printing you can make it as luxurious or as &quot;simple&quot; as you wish, we just don&apos;t want it to be a complicated or impossible printing process.

The lotus looks more like a crown than a flower.  It also looks boring, and it doesn&apos;t flow right seems too heavy. especially for marketing or advertising purposes.

concept 1: We are looking for a &quot;circle of life&quot; type of logo.  That the human race goes happy moments and sometimes through rough times.  That even though we lose somebody we love, we will meet again, one day.  A logo that portrays that idea in a metaphorical way.    

Concept 2: The lotus on our website symbolized life and death, how the lotus has phases of opening and closing, again this is a metaphor of life and death or opening doors to a new beginning.  

Concept 3  Try a rose as well

Concept 4: Or maybe  it can be a black and white logo with a symbol. that has meaning. 

Concept 5: Possibly a  tree, But than again i&apos;m not to  fond of trees unless it&apos;s a great design.

I will update this later on; but hopefully you can understand my concept on the first 2 and apply it towards the logo.

I tend to specialize in startup software projects, usually with a large end-consumer and frequently (but not always) a multimedia component (animation, fancy graphics, all that).   My skills are in product design and management, but really what I do is take people with good ideas and help them make them happen in whatever way I can (design dialogs, do the business plan, find the right people for the team etc).    So.  A catalyst (yeah I know, business speak), a spark - that kind of thing.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Logo and name treatment for biz cards and stationary.   Will use logo and name also on a very simple website (projects, bio, references, things like that).

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

People starting or running companies - everything from two guys in a garage to big multinationals (but more like Adobe or Apple than Exxon :-)  People funding companies.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

mmm, sorry.  there are lots of designs I like, but I cant think of any of them at the moment.   will fill this in when they come to mind...

I tend (for business) to like spare, lots of whitespace.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don&apos;t want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Cloudbreak refers (among other things) to a wave breaking way out on the horizon (looks like a cloud coming and going where the sea meets the sky).  It&apos;s also a famous wave in Fiji.   So aluding to the power, freedom, excitement of a big breaking wave would be nice.   But it&apos;s gotta be subtle - I love pics and graphics of glorious tubes, but not for this!

Otherwise, a bit of whimsy would be nice (again, not much, some).   I like people who are loose enough to be funny in a business setting, so if we can get that in there too, that&apos;d be cool.  But, you know, subtle  :-)</description>
