We're looking for a brochure cover for our management course – this project is the test cover version (I've already posted another project on Crowdspring that is the Control/Version 1 cover ... this design must be different ... it uses different copy). It's a copy-heavy cover -- so good layout and text management will be essential.

Double Decker Wrap / Skin

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Not satisfied with the current “Taco Truck” serving gourmet food in Los Angeles, we went out and found a British Double Decker Bus, we figured add another level, take things to a new level.

WORLD FARE IS COMING! After months of kitchen design and redesign the bus is being built! A full kitchen on the bottom, with rooftop dining open air! Bar Counter height granite tables and granite counters around the railing it will be the place to eat. Lounge music and soft white LED lighting under the tables.

The bus is going to be launched in Los Angeles and we want it to be a place to have a great meal with like minded people, the bus is going to bring people together through different flavors, textures of our international dishes. We are taking the best of global dishes and making them available through our Chef's interpretation on these specialties. Great food is a cornerstone of what we are doing and integral to the success and branding of the concept. The bus: timeless, non pretentious, streets of LA.

Visit our website at www.worldfare.com to get a sense of the project as a whole. The design of the website does not necessarily represent the design direction we want. Watch building the bus, watch the stop motion for a feel of the bus in its current form http://worldfare.com/about/bus-build .

The upstairs deck will have a black floor, white granite counters going around the outside of the bus so people can stand and eat and socialize.

There will be 3 umbrellas on the rooftop deck please see images of umbrellas below.

The sides of the bus will be lit at night with Halogen lights, we definitely want striking images and bold colors.

The Skin wrap of the bus needs to make a statement tell a story at the very least it needs to depict something worldly and something to do with food, it is a double sided billboard that will be the first thing that gets people interested in the bus. It will define the brand story.

We are really excited about this business and brand we are trying to create and we can't wait to see some exciting ideas from the Crowdspring community that hopefully can become our first mobile restaurant.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need an initial design for the full wrap of the bus, a side view can be presented firstly with maybe the wrap on the front as per bus image view below. This needs to tell the brand story and vision. It is important that this image needs

There will be no windows on the side of the bus so the design can be a flat design all the way along the side.

Firstly a design concept will be chosen based on the design concept On project award we will need artwork for the full die lines that are given. We need this in high resolution as we will be making this the size of the bus.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

We have 3 major customers, Professionals, 25-50 hard working want to grab a good lunch but they just want to step out the building to get it. 11am - 3pm Event catering - same audience as above the bus is mobile and will create the event. Possible Bar and DJ on the top deck, kitchen serving food below. Late Night Club/Bar Crowd, 21 - 40 party goers leaving the bar and club who want the night to continue and have some great food.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Please see image of World Fare logo that was chosen from a previous Crowdspring project. This is attached in images below.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

At this point we are open to all ideas.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A book cover design for my book called "Flying with Fish," a coming of age story set in 1963 in small fishing village off the coast of South Carolina. I will upload a document containing the text that needs to be on the cover. The size of the book cover is 6" wide x 9" high.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

18 years old and up. Male and Female. Coming of age story.

Liquid Wireless is a mobile marketing company. We develop mobile websites and mobile banner ads for our clients. Our clients pay us on a per-inquiry or per lead basis to find new potential customers for them. An example would be a company like DishTV. We pay for all of the advertising and manage the entire campaign. Our clients only pay us when they receive a valid customer lead, which means less risk for them.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a print ad for the Response Magazine 2010 Buyers Guide. The ad should catch the customers attention and briefly describe the benefits of our service. The customer would then call or email us to learn more.

Major Benefit:
No Risk - Pay on a Per Inquiry Basis!

Career Opportunity Flyer Template

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Rocket IT is an award-winning IT service and support firm. We provide best-in-class technology guidance, implementation and support to businesses and other organizations from our headquarters in metro Atlanta.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a one-page flyer design that we can edit and post on our website, print, and/or email to advertise and promote career opportunities. We prefer to use Adobe InDesign CS3 for editing.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

We hire bright, enthusiastic technology and business professionals and want them to think of Rocket IT as a fun, interesting place to work with like-minded people.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

The design should utilize our company colors (black, white, gray, and Pantone 144 CVC orange). We prefer Calibri, Tahoma, and Myriad Pro fonts. As a technology company, we tend to prefer modern, bold, simple designs with pictures of attractive, young professionals. Examples of other active flyers are attached, including a sample career description (in Word format) that includes content intended for this flyer design.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We do not want to see rockets, astronauts, or unicorns in our flyers. The design absolutely must be editable in Adobe InDesign CS3 or Adobe Illustrator CS3. It may contain photographs and/or illustrations from iStockPhoto (be sure to include image number so we can license the photos).

Kill Marry F*ck

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I'm in the process of designing a coffee table book and website for the popular game known as Kill Marry Fuck. At this point, I am looking for someone to design the cover but if I choose you, I intend to hire you privately to help me design the layout inside so there is definitely potential for more work that I need to have done.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I'm looking for someone to design the cover of the book. I had originally wanted to actually use the words "kill marry fuck" on the cover but I have since realized that I'll be able to reach a much larger audience if I don't use the word "fuck." Therefore, I'm looking for someone to design a cool cover using either the initials "KMF" or in some other creative way that says "Kill Marry Fuck" without being offensive.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

This willl be a high end coffee table book. Think around $60 and on display at Barnes & Noble. However, it will also be in places like Urban Outfitters, Taschen Books and specialty stores. I want it to be sleek, clean and cool. It's designed for the person who would actually have this book on their coffee table and love it.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I really like clean and simple. I don't want anything flashy or too colorful. Think Apple. Although I do like the the combination of black, white and red but am definitely open to suggestions. Most importantly, I want this to be branded so the design can be instantly recognized when new editions come out or when you see it on a web site.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

I don't want it to look busy. I don't want it to look cartoonish.

Holiday Card

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a virtual (no office space) full service ad agency. Figured we should try out crowd sourcing on ourselves before we use it for our clients. You can see our design sensibilities on our website: www.voxmarketing.com.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking to design a holiday card that will be printed and mailed.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Clients, prospects, vendors, referral sources, and staff. A wide range of people, so the card needs to have broad appeal.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like cards that use humor and have a concept. It should be clever but not offensive. Some examples of our previous holiday cards:
- A card that looked like our agency creative brief with a humorous "key thought" and "desired response". On the inside, the word "PEACE" was scribbled on a cocktail napkin.

- A card that said in engraved script, "We’d like to formally wish you a happy holiday" and affixed to the card was an actual clip on bow-tie.

-	A card that looked like a cheesy direct mailer. A starburst on the outside exclaimed "Inside: Exclusive holiday offer!..." Inside was too much copy, a limited time offer, a coupon to "enjoy the holidays now….make no payments until judgment day," lots of legal copy with a bunch of exclusions, etc. The payoff was "We hope you enjoy this holiday cheese sampler."

We typically like a contemporary look.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The card must have a space for our logo, and must have some type of non-religious holiday greeting. It can’t be specific to Christmas. Imagery should evoke the holidays in some way (colors, pictures, etc.).

This need to be an original concept, not a recycled holiday card idea.
After the conceptual part, the sign off should read "Happy Holidays from your friends at VOXmarketing"

The card should be able to be produced simply and inexpensively, so multi-folds or anything that would require excessive postage. No religious or Christmas-specific references.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

The magazine will be an insert and likely that the reader will simply throw it out when he opens his magazine pack. The cover and style must attract the potential reader to open it and start reading.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

No Leaves....the name Green Leaf is enough

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

National Association for the Self-Employed is an association of business owners like you -- sole proprietors and micro-business owners. We provide educational resources, legislative advocacy and cost-saving benefits for our members. Many of our members file the Schedule C tax form, and work from a home office, so we created this book to help them understand those tax forms.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We would like the following on the card:

Front: There is no time more appropriate to say thank you
(you can do whatever to make the "Thank You" pop out more, if your design lends itself to it or emphasize the words...it does not have to look exactly like this.)

Inside: In this season of Thanksgiving, we at Take Two Visual Media would like to thank you for your business and wish you all a bountiful Thanksgiving, a joyous holiday season, and a prosperous New Year!
(Same thing with this...you can emphasize any of the words to make it pop or capitalize the first letter of each word. However to make the phrase look the best!)

We would like to see a more contemporary, hip look as we are in a creative industry and will be sending these cards to creative directors, etc.

Come Eat

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

A mobile soup kitchen. A non profit organization that delivers nutritious meals to those in need.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A wrap for a 24ft International Workhorse Truck. Also need a logo created that fits into this whole theme.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

All ages, all races. Wanting people to see the truck coming and feel welcomed.
The truck imagery will also be used to entice sponsors of the program to want to donate.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Rays of Sun, the words COME EAT. A Dove, but not necessarily a distinct picture of a dove, perhaps more muted or even huge and encasing the entire imagery where you don't really see it unless you know it is there.
Also thinking about including a list of the 1st 100 Legacy sponsors on the truck, the ones that were responsible for making it all happen. Perhaps displaying them in a unique manner, something other than the normal list of names. A style so that someone would want to be included in the legacy sponsor display. This area needs to be able to be built separately so that it can be added to the wrap design at the end of the first year, when the 1st 100 sponsors have come on board. Prefer to have the back end of the truck with the message Mobile Soup Kitchen. Hopefully the folks working on this project have suggestions as to sayings that can be included on the truck that are inspirational. The people the truck will be serving are in need, maybe broken families, no family, loss of job, down at this moment in time. They are in need of "HOPE" and could benefit from knowing that people care about them. We want to provide food.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The words COME EAT and also the words Mobile Soup Kitchen need to be displayed so that anyone looking at the truck knows what it is. The logo needs to include the words COME EAT.

Don't want a fruit or vegie looking truck or big pictures of food. The truck needs to inspire hope that things will be better, it needs to inspire everyone it feeds that they can lift themselves back up, brighter times are coming.

Press Advert - various sizes.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We operate a legal Quality Mark system. Members of the public can determine which solicitors get to hold our quality mark through their feedback. Therefore our concept is helping people to see the difference between lawyers. We also help people to find the best matching solicitor holding the quality mark for their particular problem. We have a contemporary, crisp, clean style.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a press ad. We would like some different sized variations - therefore there may be a need to do some without the photo maybe and just with a logo and copy.

We'd like variations in the following sizes:

Full page (typical newspaper size)
Half page
20cm x 10cm
10cm x 6cm.

The key to the ad is as follows:

It is very hard to tell the difference between lawyers from the perspective of the public; they all seem largely the same.

We allow people to choose a lawyer based on our Quality Mark which is based on public feedback; hence our tag line: The best lawyers; chosen by you. The creative concept is therefore on a spot the difference type theme, showing identical lawyers.

Feel free to be creative with it. The key is that our logo allows people to tell the difference. If you can incoporate that, cleverly, into your design - so much the better.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

See above. Our target demographic is very wide but we want to cut a modern, contemporary feel in an otherwise typically boring and traditional market.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

You can see our new website designs here:

http://www.crowdspring.com/projects/website_design/small_website_uncoded/website_re_design_homepage_and_first_few_sub_pages

Look especially at the 5 star ones; eg the one by Electric Bureau for the kind of style we are trying to foster.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Our Quality Mark (attached) must be in. I've also attached a sample done by myself purely to give a feel for what we want to achieve, please don't just copy it though - I'm no designer!

I also attach another stock photo that could be used. However, feel free to use your own photos, ideas, illustrations etc... I'd really enjoy seeing as wide an interpretation of the core concept as possible. Be creative guys!

Cricket Debt Brochure

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a non-profit company which our sole purpose is to provide the pre-bankruptcy credit counseling course to those filing personal bankruptcy.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a marketing brochure to present to bankruptcy attorneys. We go to law conventions/workshops and exhibit our product and like to have an informational brochure. We would use this brochure to give to attorneys.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Bankruptcy Attorneys. Their clients are our customers. They refer their clients to use our services.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

The look contemporary/streamlined.

Style: Was thinking of a more streamlined/contemporary look, unlike the busy presentation of our current brochure.

A square folded brochure would be nice - was thinking of a circle cut out with our $36 pricepoint accentuated. so that it shows on the cover but is printed on the inside.

Also, our most current tearsheet, I have included. We would like to incorporate this style on our brochure as well.

Fonts - would like to keep the same, or very similar.

Colors - the leave background, and include our logo green color as well.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

don't need a picture of a person.
Must have the information that is listed on the current brochure. The wording...we may need to alter just a bit, but for the most part..the bullet points will be as is.

We like to have our $36 (per household) pricepoint stand out.

We don't want it to look busy. Simple is best for this.

Wine Label - Corporate

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Workforce Temporary Services is a temporary staffing company focused in the construction and light industrial industries. On a daily basis we send out labourors, carpenters, flaggers, safetey officers, etc to construction sites and companies of all shapes and sizes.

www.workforce.ca

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

When our clients finish up a project we are going to leave them with a bottle of 'Workforce' red wine. That being said, we're looking for a label design with our name on it to attach to some BC wine that is being bottled for us. The design must use our name, either 'Workforce' or 'Workforce Temporary Services' and our 'W' logo. There are two labels in total (front and back) and each of these labels is 3" X 4" and can either be designed in landspape or portrait, your choice. the 'back' label will have the following story on it:

This wine is a rich, brick red with an attractive calcium silicate nose, medium bodied with a touch of spicy mixed fuel and concrete dust set over mellow tannins and a hint of work sweat. The grapes, grown in our renowned vineyard at 1169 Main St, are hand selected by our cream of the crop temporary construction labourers and crushed with our 6 inch diameter hydraulic tampers. The juice is then carefully fermented in methyl acetate and stored in aluminum c-cans for 176 business days. Before bottling, the wine is filtrated for a four hour minimum through backfilled crush and pea gravel to enhance varietal characteristics.
Satisfying and warm, this red wine pairs well with beef or lamb dishes, or the long awaited finish of a tilt-up, high rise, wood frame or leaky condo reno.

I'm looking for a label that at first glance looks like a real and possibly classic wine label but with that said I'm open to anything.

Please note, about half the space on the 'back' wine label needs to be used by the winery to put their info on it.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Men, 30's to 50's, rough around the ages, construction workers that usually like to drink

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Must have our name as either 'WORKFORCE', 'Workforce' or the full name 'WORKFORCE Temporary Services'. It does not necessarily have to be in the same font ... must also have our 'W' Logo.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We make products for professional and aspiring musicians.

We are a smaller company than many people imagine.

You can learn more at www.cakewalk.com.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

In lieu of a paper snail-mailed holiday card for business associates and customers, we want to try an e-card this year.

The e-card will be delivered as an attachment or in the body of an HTML email. We may also post as part of a web page.

The image must render with correct colors in all major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome).

The image native resolution must be approximately 550 pixels wide by 400 pixels high.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Music stores and distributors, musicians, audio engineers.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Please see www.cakewalk.com to get a sense of our current design.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We need a general holiday card (not specific to any particular year-end holiday).

We prefer imagery that evokes both the holidays and music/sound. But subtly. Would choose an abstract design over one that is about music or sound in too obvious or cheezy a way.

We will use the following text:
"Dear Friend,
Everyone at Cakewalk wishes you happy holidays and a successful 2010!"

We see fonts as full fledged graphical elements and appreciate smart choices and good character spacing, so that's a plus.

We need our Cakewalk logo included at a reasonable/proportional size (clearly visible, but not a overwhelming or dominant element of the design).

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a important wholesaler travel agency with headquarters in Barcelona (Spain)

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need the design of the cover and the back cover to our travel brochures. We need 9 covers and back covers to the 9 brochures we printed: México y Centroamérica (1), Estados Unidos y Canadá (2), Europa (3), África, Asia y Oceanía (4), Turquía (5), Sudamérica (6), Patagonia (7), Marruecos, Túnez, Libia, Egipto y Oriente Medio (8), Autocar (9).
The information (destination, date of validity and rest of the text) has to be clear and pictures representative of the countries.
Our idea is as follows:
- Designing a main cover, for example, the destination México y Centroamércia, and is make 8 adjustments for different destinations, changing the colour and pictures, without changing the typographies nor the design. You can see on our web www.transrutas.com the covers 2009-2010 and noted that all are the same design, but it changes the colour and pictures (depending on destination). This is what we want also to this year, but totally changing the design…
- The back cover also have to have all the same design. We want to see it come reflected the rest of brochures that we have in the market. F.e., if we are doing the cover of the México y Centroamérica brochure, it should appear the remaining brochures (Estados Unidos y Canadá (2), Europa (3), África, Asia y Oceanía (4), Turquía (5), Sudamérica (6), Patagonia (7), Marruecos, Túnes, Libia, Egipto y Oriente Medio (8) y Autocar (9)). I’d attached a model of a back cover of last year that we do not have on the web to see what I mean.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our customers are varied, both families and individual, tend to be of Spanish nationality and whose objective is to carry out their long-awaited summer holidays...

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

All texts have to be in Spanish.
- The text that should appear in the cover should be as follows: the destination (p.e México y Centroamérica*), our logo (Transrutas), the validity of the prod¬uct (Mayo 2010-Mayo 2011) and the web of our company (www.transrutas.com).
*with a subtitle: Guatemala, Belice, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua y Panamá.
- The text that should appear on the back cover should be the following: Nuestros destinos (literally), company logo (Transrutas), logo Iata and the web site (www.transrutas.com).

- Transrutas’ colour logo is: pantone reflex blue, but doesn’t matter if you need change this colour to design covers (black, white or another colour you need for composition).

- We need that the work is opened, that we it could modify texts if it was necessary and that includes pictures and necessary typographies.

We think that will better you offer first the main proposal (1 cover and back cover) and after we tried the winner, make the different changes for the other 8 covers.

Important: Our total award includes the design of the first front and back covers, plus the 8 changes of the same.

I need a fresh 1/2 page horizontal ad created for my Packaging Services company for a magazine

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Here at Nationwide Packaging Services, Inc. we package various hardware products for fastener distributors, (nuts, bolts, screws, washers etc.) into heat sealed polybags. EXAMPLE: Say you buy something you have to assemble. Like a grill, toy, or a piece of inexpensive furniture. All the nuts, bolts, and screws for the product are mixed together in a little clear plastic polybag inside the box. That's what we do. Our customers send us the fasteners bulk and our automatic counters count out the required quantities of each fastener type, then dump them into an automatic bagging machine where the polybag is heat sealed and printed and the "kit" then falls into a box. We send the kits back to our customer, they throw the kit in with the product and off it goes to the stores. I know what your thinking, "so YOUR the guys that makes these kits which seem to be 1 screw short all the time". Actually, we're more guilty of throwing an extra in the bag for good measure. Anyway, we also do Military or MIL-SPEC packaging formally known as MIL-STD-2073 packaging for the Department of Defense (DOD). Everything that is shipped to the DOD has to be packaged a very specific way to ensure it can survive the rigors of shipping all over the world. These items can be packaged in a variety of mediums from polybags to water/vapor proof kraft style pouches to special weather proof boxes.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need a 1/2 page ad for a trade magazine called "The Distributors Link Magazine". www.linkmagazine.com The bulk of the half page would target fastener distributors. The Military packaging service we provide might be showcased in a corner of this 1/2 page ad like a bullet point. Kind of an "Oh by the way we also do MIL-STD-2073 packaging"

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

For this publication our target audience would be fastener distributors. You can check out www.linkmagazine.com and pull up any of their advertisers under "industry websites" to see what a fastener distributor does. Too see a competitor website who advertises in this publication look at www.componentpackaging.com

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I like to see the actual product in an ad. Like a polybag or several with fasteners in them. Most people typically skim this publication, just flipping pages. So the ad would really have to jump out. I think a picture does that. However, I have no design ability at all so I am totally open to fresh ideas. For the Military Packaging bullet point I would like to see the same thing, military kits, possibly with faded pics of soldiers or tanks or something military looking as a back round.

The "savings guide" files I've attached was a mailer we used. I liked the fonts and the pics but I thought the jet was WAY too fake looking and the mailer was targeting military parts suppliers where this ad I need will be targeting fastener distributors. The pics could have used some retouching to clean them up a bit too.

The "news" file explains a little more of what we do and shows other pics of packaged products.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

I don't really like illustrations.

It starts off a bit like "Saw" but you quickly realize it´s something different, more akin to "Cube".
It should look like a cool movie... mystical, inspiring, horror, yes, but not blood and guts horror. This guy is doomed but going to fight all odds to get out.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Movie goers from 14 to 40, the movie will mostly appeal to males.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We want it to look like a DVD you can buy off the shelf, so please take a look at a few movie DVD covers to get a feel for what they have in common.
Especially on the back they use certain fonts and placements.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The front of the dvd cover should have a striking impact of course and it should contain at least our main character, the titles “Iron doors”, “Axel Wedekind” and “directed by Stephen Manuel” Furthermore the tag line: "No food. No water. No way out. Not Acceptable." (this can be changed or abbreviated if necessary)

The back should be a standard DVD cover with a few pictures and brief info texts including credits and technical specs.

You can download several several stills from our movie and a word document with the text for the back of the cover in a zipfile called ironcoverpics.zip here:

www.mydrive.ch
Login: crowdspring
password: irondoors

Pics can be chosen from the ones we supplied and color corrected in any way as needed. A standard DVD cover size is width = 272 mm = 10,71 in = 3212 px, highth: 183 mm = 7,20 in = 2161 px The small back of the dvd cover is 13 mm. To print it should have 300dpi.

Hungry's Catering Menu

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Hungry’s Café and Bistro was established in Houston in 1975. It began as a “sandwich shop” but over the years the menu has expanded to include a wider variety of offerings. It is an eatery with solid and consistently smart and healthy food for very accessible prices. Hungry's currently has two locations and enjoys a loyal clientele at both locations. Although Hungry’s is known predominantly as a neighborhood bistro, the catering business has grown to account for 60% of their sales volume.
Hungry’s success can be attributed primarily to consistently good food at attractive prices. Since its inception, Hungry’s has not positioned itself consistently in the market. With the economic downturn, the catering market has gotten increasingly competitive. Although Hungry's has been successful primarily at providing casual catering for local businesses during the lunch hour, it would also like to penetrate the evening catering market as well. In the past Hungry's has focused on descriptors like "healthy" for its food. Hungry's would rather focus on the freshness of its foods and ingredients since they have gotten fresh produce from local farmer's markets for years. The overall layout should reflect this "fresh" feeling.
As Hungry’s approaches it’s 30th anniversary, the need for a cohesive identity and a direction has grown. Changes have been made to the color palette, and a new website and catering flyer are currently being developed. This menu should complement both items in terms of color palette.
Previously, Hungry's had one menu with the delivery and to-go menu on one side and the catering menu on the other. The menu contains a large number of items and very text-heavy. We'd like to make the menu easier to follow and break it up with more graphics, photos, etc. In the copy, there are items with note "Denote with "H." These are items Hungry's has a higher margin on and wants to sell more of, and to draw attention to in the menu. There are also items that the reader will have to refer to a list of salads or sandwiches or entrees to see what items are available for that particular package. These lists should be located next to the packages that refer to them and the reader should not have to turn the page back and forth.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a new catering menu that is attractive and easier to read than the current menu. It should follow the new color palette, not clash with the new website and flyer, and use photos and graphics to make titles pop and break the menu up a bit.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Local corporations and people that host events in their home. We want them to feel that they are getting fresh, attractively arranged, and delicious food at fair prices. We want them to feel like if they order with Hungry's, they get the most value for their money and that because of our experience in the catering market, that they can be confident that their event will be a success. We want the tone to be approachable and friendly.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I like the catering menus for Zoe's, Cafe Express, and Viga Catering. These are all easy to read and contain photos and a section that is easy to find out "order particulars" or basically how to order.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We must have our logo, website, and photos of food. We can't have something that is too expensive to print (die-cut, excessive pages, etc.) The overall look can't clash with the website and catering flyer.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like color and cool or contemporary design images. Cartoon characters of car drivers, families in front of homes, business people/ employees, health insurance are good too.

It should have an Asian theme (Japanese) however many of our clients are not Asian as well.

We like a happy, friendly theme. We also incorporate a lot of "testimonials" in our materials so that should be considered for layouts. We usually reserve one of the 6 panels for testimonials.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Banner Design for Consumer Electronics Show in VEGAS!

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

WiPower is a start-up company that has developed a wireless power technology - users can charge cell phones, mp3 players, digital cameras, and other devices by simply placing them on top of a WiPower pad. We have eliminated the need for those annoying corded power supplies!

Our wireless power system is differentiated by three key qualities:
1. The device can be placed anywhere on top of the charging pad - there is no need to place the device in a specific position.
2. Multiple devices can be charged simultaneously on top of the charging pad.
3. Simple and low-cost design

We provide wireless power products, intellectual property licensing, and product development services to clients ranging from consumer electronics companies to defense contractors.

Please visit our website at www.wipower.com for more details and to get an understanding of our "look and feel."

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a banner design for our 20x20 foot booth at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas - the banner will be 20 feet long - please see the link below for a reference of the size and type of display:

http://www.evadisplays.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_5&products_id=3

We need something that will grab people's attention as they are passing by - there are hundreds of other exhibitors and approximately 100,000 attendees - we also want the design of the banner to look like us (see our website for reference) but perhaps with a bit more flash, since this is Vegas and we want to stand out.

At this show, we want to emphasize the 3 key qualities of our technology because it differentiates us from our competitors:

1. Freedom of movement of the devices on top of the charging pad
2. Simultaneous charging of multiple devices on a single charging pad
3. Simple and low-cost design

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The Consumer Electronics Show attendees which will consist mostly of people in the consumer electronics industry - electronics companies and their employees - engineers, product developers, marketers, and researchers.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like the look and feel of this website as well as our own:

http://us.jawbone.com/

www.wipower.com

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We must have our logo/company name in the design.

We do NOT want to use the graphic image of the pad (with the dotted line) that is on our website.

It would be okay to incorporate photos of our product.

Attention-Grabbing Brochure Cover -- Strategic Thinking

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We're a leading provider of seminar training in North America

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a creative -- eye-catching design template for a cover of an upcoming seminar. (or internal staff will take care of producing brochure "guts" ... we just need a great COVER concept from you!)

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Mostly people in leadership positions -- all types and sizes of organizations

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Note – I’m creating these parameters to help you know what I want and what I won’t consider. I just want to help you not waste your time. So, I urge you to take 2 minutes to read the following pretty simple requests:

*Set up for standard 8 ½ x 11 portrait

*The 2 most important words on the page are “STRATEGIC THINKING” – so those 2 words of the title should pop more than any other element on the page … that means even more than any picture or graphic you put on the page (and you can’t make either “strategic” or “thinking” more important than the other – the 2 have to be read together to make any sense).

*Looking for a clean, bright, contemporary design with a decent balance of white space.

*No pics of people on this design please.

*Don’t use any large area, super-dark shading on the page – it’ll bleed through on our cheaper offset paper and ruin readability of the next page.

*I do NOT like a lot of reverse type -- so use it judiciously if it is used at all. Design entries that use nearly all reverse type will not be considered.

*If your design is selected – you’ll need to provide a FULLY EDITABLE layered PSD document, list of fonts used, source of graphics used. I’m just having you create the cover (and this is not final copy) – my internal team will take care of all edits and will finish off the rest of the brochure. Note -- If you create it in Illustrator and/or InDesign … you’ll have to translate it over to a layered PSD document if it is selected. I’m just trying to save you some steps here.

Thanks for working on this project! I look forward to seeing your awesome creativity in action!

Spine to read: Brand Fuel Promotions with either ''2010 Idea Generator'' or ''2010 Apparel Catalog'' (again, we need 2 files with that one change). Our rocket should go at the top, pointing up, in our 3 colors or just one (black, silver, white, or red only).

It is ok to lose the tageline "Our Stuff's..." if necc.

We need two covers that are the exact same with one difference: One should say "Idea Generator" and the other should say "Apparel Catalog".

the year: 2010 should be on front and spine

add on the back: Please visit brandfuel.com for more new products, case studies, and videos.

Use the attached art file for the lower part of the back cover that indicates our addresses, but be sure to change ''8001'' to read ''9001''.

bleeds are ok!!

Straight Talk Brochure Cover

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We're a leading provider of training in North America

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Design a brochure cover for a new seminar (our in-house team will do the production of the internal pieces of the brochure)

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Managers, supervisors and team leaders at all sizes and types of organizations.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Designer notes:

*Looking for a clean, sophisticated design with a decent balance of white space. I’d like to see some 3-color designs – but I’ll also be willing to consider 4-color designs.

*If you use pictures of people – make sure you’re showing diversity – no solo shots of individuals (you do NOT have to use people … in fact I’d like to see some designs without people).

*It’s very, very, very, very, very IMPORTANT that the title be the dominant graphic on the page. The rest of the copy is deliberately sparse. It’s such a long title that it shouldn’t be a problem making it “pop” – but be sure to give extra-special attention to your font choice and design effects used to set up the title on the page. It’s very important that we get people to read the title of this brochure – so make the title the star of the page. (and for goodness sakes – don’t be boring – you’re a creative … so show me your awesomeness in your design!)

*Don’t sacrifice READABILITY for creativity. Be creative – but still achieve your primary aim – which is communication. This brochure will print on offset paper that tends to have a fair amount of bleed. Plus, half the audience is 40+ -- and just in case you’re not there yet – know that a lot of 40+ folks have vision issues. Small, dark, hard-to-read stuff will just get tossed.

*I am NOT a fan of a lot of reverse type -- so use it judiciously. Designs that come in with nearly all reverse type will not be considered.

*If your design is selected – you’ll need to provide a fully editable layered PSD document, list of fonts used, source of graphics used. This is very important that you know this – I’ve had some folks on previous projects try to give me things in Illustrator and InDesign. That’s NOT what I want here … so please design with this in mind. I don’t want you to be surprised about the format – that’s why I’m being so emphatic here.

Thanks for working on this project! I’m so very happy to have you take this on!

Words Of Art

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

This is for a merchandising company that licenses creative content to social expression companies such as greeting card, poster, and the like.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a graphic designer to artistically interpret well known and lesser known words and phrases we provide.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Each company we license to use the designs has their own distinctive target audience though primarily it is adults, mostly women, 25-54.

It's important the colors, fonts and designs reflect and interpret the feeling conveyed by the words.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The designs must be graphic interpretations of the text without the use of artwork or photography. However the design can incorporate imagery other than the provided text as long as that imagery is comprised of the text. For example a tree or a flower made out of the text provided. Upper or lower case lettering can be used as desired.

Book cover for New York City Scholarship Guide

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

New Visions for Public Schools is dedicated to ensuring that all New York City public school students, regardless of race or economic class, can fully participate as citizens and economic actors nationally and internationally. Further, we are committed to sharing innovative tools, strategies and lessons learned in New Visions schools with others in New York and throughout the country to prove that meaningful change is achievable at scale and success is possible for every child.

Throughout our 20-year history, we have worked intensively with a core group of schools while fashioning strategies to improve student achievement across the board. Today, with 76 schools serving more than 34,000 students, we support a network similar in size to some of the nation’s largest school districts. We are committed to proving what no urban district has yet to realize: that large numbers of urban students can graduate on time and be successful in college and in the workplace.

The Scholarship Guide for New York City Students provides a diverse listing of over 100 scholarship opportunities available to a wide range of New York City students.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a cover design concept which is attractive and conceptually sound. Since the final bound book is going to be saddle-stitched (stapled), we can accept a cover design that wraps around the front and back of the book, (but front and back is not necessary). No spine design is required.

The final size is going to be 8.5 x 11 when folded (8.5 x 22 with the front and back)

The scholarships in our guide afford the opportunity for young people to gain access to educational experiences they might have had otherwise. We want the ideas inherent in "scholarships" and New York City to be conveyed on the cover.

The following words and phrases are relevant and may be useful for you:
Positivity, forward momentum, moving on to a brighter future, optimism, threshold, peak, horizon, excelling, academics, assertiveness, decisiveness, resources, lifeline, bridge, bridging the gap, blasting off, good to go, doorway, transitioning, living your dreams, changing, growing up , realizing your potential.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

New York City public high school students

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like the designs we have used in the past, but are open to moving in a new direction, so please feel free to be creative. This guide is for high school students and should appeal to their aesthetic.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

> The title is: Scholarships for New York City Students 2009–2010
> The title should be presented in Gotham Black. if you don't own Gotham Black, then use a comparable sans-serif and we will swap the typeface before we send the file to print.

Newspaper Masthead

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

The Lowry Community Master Association is a property owner's organization/neighborhood organization in Denver, Colorado. The LCMA is comprised of residential and commercial owners that live and work in Lowry, a former Air Force Base. As a way to better communicate with the community, the LCMA is doing a monthly print newspaper.

The Mission of the LCMA is as follows: The Lowry Community Master Association is a unique association representing all residential and commercial owners within the community. In keeping with its designation as a landmark urban community, the mission of Lowry Community Master Association, Inc. (LCMA) is to enhance and preserve the value of the Property by administering the Master Declaration of Covenants, protecting financial assets, maintaining common elements, and working to promote quality of life for those who live, work and play in the community.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

The LCMA needs a masthead for our new newspaper, The Lowry Star. The masthead should convey the following concepts: community, local, professional, historical. The name The Lowry Star was selected as it conveys a sense of history from when Lowry was an Air Force Base. The masthead banner will appear on the front page of the newspaper.

The masthead should include:

•	The name of the paper, “The Lowry Star”
•	The issue date, example: “October 2009”
•	“Provided free by the Lowry Community Master Association, the property owner's organization for Lowry”

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our audience are the residents and families that live in our neighborhood and the employees that work here. The newspaper will be delivered to each home in Lowry and copies will be available in local businesses. Our website is www.lowrylink.com

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

* No more than 4 colors please.
* We must incorporate the LCMA logo. The logo may be softened or slighly adjusted, as long as the LCMA star is recognizable. The LCMA logo is available at: http://lowrylink.ning.com/lcma/lcma-logo (I'm having difficulty uploading a file)

Design for public service posters and brochures

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

“Good to Go,” (G2G), is a college and career readiness campaign focused on New York City public school students in all five boroughs. It is designed to engage students in preparing for the future – and to rally parents, schools and communities to help them get there.

Far too many students graduate from high school unprepared for college and the workforce. Four out of every 10 new college students need to take remedial courses, including 25 percent of new students at four-year colleges and universities and 60 percent at two-year institutions.

The Goal of the Good to Go represents a commitment to ensure that at least eight out of 10 ninth-graders in our schools will have the necessary skills to succeed in college or career by the time they graduate in 2013.

Based on extensive research and interviews with a broad cross-section of education experts, we have redefined college and career readiness and created concrete benchmarks that students should meet in each year of high school to be prepared for higher learning or the world of work.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a cohesive design for posters and brochures we are using as part of our campaign for college and career readiness. The posters will be placed in high schools across the City and the brochures will be given to each high-school student in select schools.

We need one flexible design for the posters and one flexible design for the brochures which will work together as part of the same system. We will need to be able to tweak the designs to fill in with different text and images.

The Posters will be 24 x 36 and printed with full bleeds.
The brochures will be printed with full bleeds on 8.5 x 11 sheets and folded in half to 8.5 x 5.5

-----------------

More information:
Use the attached source documents for raw materials, or feel free to use any low-res images you have available to convey your idea. We will replace the images with images we own the rights to before we go into production.

> For the posters we have attached mock up posters we did internally as source material. These posters are not nearly as dynamic and youth-centric as we would like

> There are two documents with mock-text for the brochures as well.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

New York City high school students from each of the five boroughs.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We want the look to appeal to our target demographic of young inner-city students. We want the look to be youth-centric, and as cool as you'd like it to be.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

> We have to include the G2G logo, which is attached. It can appear in blue, white or black.

> We have to include the New Visions for Public Schools logo in blue and yellow or in greyscale.

post cards for storage business

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

we are a self storage business in the san francisco bay area, looking to expand our business using post card inserts in local home delivered free weekly newspapers.

things that set us apart from the competition:

- we are family owned and operated, with just the one facility. we are not a chain

- our site is in a transitional 'edgy' neighborhood. there are lots of artists and interesting urban things going on nearby

- we are very green. we've invested in solar power, planted fruit trees, biodiesel truck

- we are open to creative uses for our space. we have people running businesses from their units. we have wired some units with electricity, so people are doing art studio activities and doing music practice.

- we are adding plumbing and skylights to some units to promote their use as art studio space

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

we need a total of 4 designs to go on opposite sides of the 4x6 postcards to be used as inserts in local free weekly newspapers

design 1 (this will go on one side of all cards printed) promoting the storage business

designs 2-4 (these will each go on the back side):

- covered boat/rv parking

- art studio (for artists looking for cool studio space) / art gallery (for shows). this piece should be 'edgy' and appeal to artists

- consignment store for high-end furniture, bric-a-brac, and artworks. this piece should attract both buyers and sellers.

these offerings are all located on the premises of the storage business.

so the final product will be 3 different printed cards, all having the storage graphics on one side, and one of the 3 other graphics on the back side.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

middle - and upper middle class people living in marin county, california

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

the information shown on the uploaded file is required (for storage and consignment), but we are not stuck on the design at all.

there are a bunch of photos to work with at

www.bridgestorage.com
http://picasaweb.google.com/bridgeconsignment
http://picasaweb.google.com/jhwright/BridgeStoragePhotos
http://picasaweb.google.com/jhwright/AaronWallisOpening
http://picasaweb.google.com/jhwright/SuzanneCernyOpeningDec08

the photos in the attached postcard are too small to see when they are printed on 4x6 format.

Logo for marketing material

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

A young internet start-up, ReBookd.com, that is a student-to-student marketplace for college textbooks. College textbooks cost the average student almost $1000 and we are trying to make education more affordable by eliminating the need for a middleman (the campus bookstore) in buying and selling textbooks. The difference between what a student sells a book to the campus bookstore and what the next student buys that book from the store for is usually $50 or more.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A logo design plus slogan to be printed on plastic disposable cups used for marketing purposes on college campus in the midwest. Want to have .com in the logo not just Rebook'd as we need to drive traffic to the site and build name recognition.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

College students.
