Super- Fun Star Character

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We're STAR12 -- the leading provider of training in North America

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We're STAR12 -- the leading provider of training in North America

We want a character that we can use in our "lighter" advertising -- a "star person" who we will use as a spokesperson to explain benefits and features of STAR12 membership. We want something simple and fun to help us convey some of our more complex concepts.

I actually want 5 versions of the character -- as described below. But, your first submission can be just the #1 version of the character facing forward with eyes wide open. But, if I rate you 4 or higher -- you'll want to create all 5 versions to be in contention for the award (If I rate you 3 or lower -- I'll let you know whether I think tweaking could put your illustration in contention -- or whether your basic premise is just not what I'm looking for).

While there are 5 versions -- they only vary slightly -- so the bulk of the time should be spent on getting the character created ... the versions shouldn't take that much additional work.

____________________________WHAT I NEED:_____________________________

STAR12 Character -- 5 versions
(probably a STAR person with a “12” badge or shirt, or something else to show the 12 on him ... but we may not need to show the "12")

1.	Smiling – forward facing Both eyes wide open
2.	Smiling – forward facing – winking
3.	Smiling – with a megaphone to his mouth (as if he’s announcing something big)
4.	Smiling and point to the right
5.	Smiling and point to the left

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

STAR12 members -- who are Adults who pursue professional development and continuing education.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I’m looking for a playful image. Things that come to mind that I like::

Character Styles Drawn from advertising:
KMART bright idea guy
WALMART happy face dude
California raisins
Planters Mr. Peanut

Illustration Styles Drawn from Profesional Cartoons:
Rugrats®
Simpsons®
Kung-Fu Panda®

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Character should be able to work in color & B&W. I'm attaching a graphic of our logo so you can see our colors and basic look.

Image should be provided in a file format that we can manipulate (for size, shape, etc.)

Illustrated Christmas/Channukah/Kwanza Holiday E-Mailer

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

mowie media is the design & production studio of Sonya Lee. Sonya supports the marketing & design needs of agencies, individuals and entertainment studios. You could say she’s equal parts ninja, concept designer, mind reader, IA, UI and interactive designer. Her job is to help you create a strategic visual attractiveness and brand for your product and company.

Her passion is to help YOU problem-solve online and offline marketing needs, “WOW” your audience and bring in a mix of visual creativity that meets your business objectives. Sonya works closely with her clients to produce dynamic concepts that fit their brands.

This is the website: http://www.mowiemedia.com

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I would like a Christmas holiday mailer that is web based, highly creative and usable by the people who receive it. It should be fun, whimsical, creative, interactive (printable) and usable. The mailer will be emailed as a JPG with a link to a PDF so that users can download any additional elements.

The printable PDF can be: Holiday gift tags, Cutout Elf dolls with holiday outfits, Maze puzzle, Sudoku, Whatever else you can think of.

Be creative! Write your own copy! Take the reins on this project and show me what you've got. I may use you for other designs if you're THAT GOOD! If you can't think of any good copy, you can use the copy in mailer we sent out last year.

To recap, I need:
1) Email design (JPG)
2) Downloadable Print Attachment (PDF)

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Corporate, medium and small agencies that require design services. I work with people who enjoy seriousness, but also are able to be fun at the same time. That being said, getting good work done doesn't mean it has to be boring! A whimsical personality should reflect in the design. In case you haven't seen, Santa is picking his nose and Rudolph is sniffing his own butt in last year's mailer.

Please be mindful that I have clients of all sorts of colors and races. The design needs to be culturally sensitive to all.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

See the attached designs.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Please, don't use clipart!

Dollar Dealer - Character/Illustration Design

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a company that has a strong legacy in the New Zealand market, however, present day we have a reputation for being innovative, fresh and exciting. We try to deliver everything we present to market with ‘spark’, doing things a little bit differently and treating our customers as if they are guests in our own homes. Our employees are passionate about our business and we are active promoters of the Company and it’s product offerings.

We sell a number of ancillary products such as, accommodation, sightseeing activities, rental cars/campervans, travel insurance, and other holiday add-ons.
One of our most successful add-on’s we use to promote holiday packages are called Dollar Deals.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

The challenge is to come up with a character that we can use as a profile picture (avatar) on Twitter: ‘the Dollar Dealer’. The Dollar Dealer will tweet about promotions of dollar deals. Every day he will do crazy deals for a dollar.
He will also engage in a cheeky and familiar communication style with consumers to ask them what they want for a dollar. The Dollar Dealer will have a personality much like a barterer or a salesman (e.g. “Why don’t you send me a dollar offer for a holidays add-on and I’ll see what I can do”, “You won’t get another offer like this one, take it or leave it mate”). His tone of voice will be that of a negotiator but with a few Kiwi-like adlibs.
The Dollar Dealer may also hold auctions with starting bids at $1, he may also Re-Tweet other deals that start at a dollar,
We want him to have a bit of a laid back look and feel, i.e., not in a suit, more a casual traveller / dealer.
We will most probably only use this character on the Twitter website and potentially further web uses if we decide to use other platforms to promote the Dollar Dealer.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience is the leisure travel market purchased from New Zealand.
Dollar (travel) deals are not offered by any other competitor and are unique to our business. Our employees are also a key point of difference for our business.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like designs that are fresh, modern and communicate our unique / relaxed and can-do personality.
As an example, we like the colour and professional look of the twitter character Airpoints Fairy (@airpointsfairy) however we would like our Dollar Dealer to exude a little more personality and have a bit of a Kiwi demeanour. (This doesn’t mean he needs to fit any stereotypes of sheep farmers though :)). We quite like the idea of having the character leaning against a $ sign or an NZ $1 coin or similar – even using the attached dollar logo we have used in recent campaigns would be great – this is really to make sure we’re getting across the value of dollar deals.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We don’t want to be prescriptive in terms of colours however, it may be useful to note that our primary colours are lime green and orange. It would be useful if the Dollar Dealer had a 'vacation' type look.

I will be using it to create a simple e-card in Flash, so the elements of the illustration should be vector as much as possible.

Ongoing Comic Strip Illustration

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I'm writing a comic strip for professionals, but I can't draw. (That's where you come in.) I would like to produce two strips a week for the next year or longer. They're 3 or 4 panels each, black & white, and simply drawn. While the initial award is the $200 minimum, I'm looking to establish a relationship with an illustrator and will pay $50 per strip after that. I expect to produce between 4 and 10 strips per month, so an illustrator who can work quickly can make up to $500/month for relatively little work.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A four-panel strip, as per the attached pdf brief. It will initially be used on my website and in some presentations, with an eye to future commercialization. While I will retain all rights in exchange for fees paid, I am willing to share some royalties in the event of greater commercial success. I'm looking for a good, long-term working relationship.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

People like you. Professional creatives & marketers: designers, and people who work in design firms, ad agencies and other creative firms.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Dilbert, Far Side, black & white, hand-drawn or digital

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Keep it simple.

Three marketing symbols

We need three simple illustrations that work with the three brand statements that will appear on the Lotame.com website.

To see where the illustrations will go, visit this test page:
http://www.lotame.com/index_new.php
(look at the lower right corner box with the rotating text under "Go Beyond With Lotame")

You can get a feel for the Lotame brand at the current live website here:
http://www.lotame.com

The three brand statements are as follows:

1. Zero Waste Performance
Some worry about first impressions, we worry about every impression.

(We were thinking this could be a "No Waste" sign - circle with slash through it style, but open to any other ideas)

2. Custom Audiences Create Custom Messages
Stop missing the target. Buy Lotame's custom audience data. Message and re-message more efficiently.

(We were thinking this one would be an archery target, of course open to other ideas.)

3. How Much Do You Value Your Media And Data?
Maximize the value of anonymous consumer data and media with Lotame.

(We were thinking of data bits = dollar sign)

Looking forward to seeing what you design!

Ilustration Depicting Live In-Person + Online Course

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We're a provider of leadership training -- both live seminar and online.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We're working on a course that will have a live instructor-led seminar component plus an online, ondemand component. I'd like to have a visual that I can use on the course announcement materials that helps us convey both the live seminar + online training message -- so people "visually get" that it's not just one or the other. People don't like to read -- so while the copy will explain it -- if they could understand through a graphic without words -- that'd be better.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

managers and supervisors --

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

It would be good if it could work well in color or B&W

They sky's the limit right now -- I'm looking for a creative idea and don't want to box anyone in. I'm not attaching any files right now, because I don't see that any words are necessary here as I'd prefer to communication through an illustrated graphic rather than words.

I've not directed this type of illustration before -- if you have questions, just email me.

The Three Little Pigs and Free Money

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

This project is a storyboard and sample of a richly illustrated children's book to entertain and help to explain the Austrian Business Cycle Theory developed by Ludwig von Mises, teacher of the Nobel Prize winning economist Friedrich Hayek. This theory explains every economic boom and depression, including the current one, since the advent of government fiat money. A sponsor of Mises.org, Krolman Corporation is underwriting this, their first, publishing project. The story was written by businessman and amateur economist Arthur Martin McCannell Krolman for his two children in February 2009 and has been praised by syndicated columnist and economist Walter E. Williams and Mises.org editor, Jeffrey A. Tucker among others. Potential print run for a high quality product is 50,000 - 100,000 copies per year. While full copyright will be the property of Krolman Corporation, this project is an opportunity for an aspiring children's book artist to become known to editors of major book publishers and the general reading public. Total art illustration budget, including cover, is $10,000.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Storyboard for complete story layout plus one full color final artwork page sample of a scene in the story (your choice) so we can get an idea of what the completed book could look like. Submit as high resolution jpg or pdf. The winning submission will be likely chosen to complete the artwork for the entire project.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Readers around the world from ages 10 - 100 who want to learn about why we are in the current economic depression... and to enjoy a new well-illustrated story about the three little pigs!

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I like the unbounded creativity of artists. No limits on your ideas...or the number of thousands of readers who will potentially enjoy the glow of your credited genius.

maps illustrating study area for medical journal

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I'm a Gastroenterologist. I've done a study of the incidence of a condition (inflammatory bowel disease) in a localised region of Victoria, Australia. I need to show where the area is in relation to the rest of Australia and show latitude as it's relevant to the discussion

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need to show the area where my study was conducted in relation to the rest of Australia. I need a simple outline map of Australia (see attached). I need a latitude line/marking at 38 degrees south (see rough attempt). The study area is the Statistical Division of Barwon from the Australian census (see attached), which is located in the state of Victoria. This includes the city of Geelong and surrounding regions. I need a greyscale outline of this region showing how it relates to the rest of the state of Victoria and Australia.
It needs to be a grey-scale, line-art, mapping diagram for scientific publication.
It needs to be professional, elegant, simple and not distract the reader.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Medical scientific community. Professional.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Page 11 of Aust Map attached shows the type of country outline I need. They have expanded the area sort of how I need for a different region (Barwon in Victoria).
The second page of Geelong Map Graphic attached sort of shows what I'm after, but the fine grey lines and distracting detail about the other divisions would need to go. It would be nice if Melbourne was marked on there.
The second page of the NZ incidence study attached is close to the type of thing I need.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The final product needs to be in the form of a greyscale word document

APAC "In da House" Concert Poster

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

APAC is a performing arts academy in the North Western Suburbs of Sydney Australia. The end of year concert is an opportunity for all the students to showcase their dance, singing and acting capabilities on stage and through multi media presentations.

The concert is called "In da House"

The Setting
-------------------------
The concert and supporting acts are all based around the simple idea that there is a "house full of kids having fun - and there are no parents to stop the fun". It's kind of a 'Hotel California' situation where ALL the kids are trying to get in, and none of the kids ever want to leave.

The various concert acts take place in the different rooms of the house, and outside the house where the kids try a range of desperate ploys in an attempt to get in.

The Illustration:
-------------------------
A concept drawing has been already be drawn by one of the students but is not suitable for the print mediums the drawing will be used on. It has been attached as an example of the scale required, the aspect of the house and as an understanding of who the target market is.

The Components:
-------------------------
The illustration must be set outside the house. Inside the house, we illustration should allude to lots of partying, music and dancing, but we dont need to literally show the shenanigans going on inside [I would suggest silhouettes, musical notes and feeling that the house is bulging with fun].

Outside the house, there are a bunch of kids all trying to get in. Here are a list of scenarios that could be played out:

- TV Journalist/Reporters in front of cameras
- Kids dressed up in Halloween costumes
- Cat Burglars (dressed in black)
- Christmas Carrollers
- Girl Guides
- One kid trying to get in via a ladder
- One kid with a cardboard box and a witches hat on their head
- Other kids desperate to get in...

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

- 1 x Black and White Illustration supplied in Illustrator format (CS2 or above).
- Completely vector - no rasterised elements (needs to scale to A1)
- Portrait Aspect
- Illustrations of kids should be separate layers for easy move/removal during final design process
- Hand drawn type treatment (where possible) also on a separate layer

Final product will be printed on:
- T-Shirts
- Programs
- Posters
- and other miscellaneous internal marketing

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Primary Audience: The students and their friends - kids are aged between 4 and 18 (mostly girls)
Secondary Audience: Parents, Teachers and potential students/parents.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The visual style needs to invoke energy, enthusiasm and fun.
The illustration style should not be dark, scary, sarcastic or witty.
This is straight-up honest to goodness fun.

Please reference the attached photo and concept illustration - the actual house has been used in various filmed pieces so a generic house will not do.

House needs to be pumping
Lots of fun

Tanner & Tailor Logo for customizable leathergoods such as handbags or wallets

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Last September we created the brand name "Tanner & Tailor" to offer a range of customizable high-quality leathergoods such as handbags, wallets, travelbags and much more.

Customers can use a specially created Online-DesignTool on www.tanner-tailor.de (still in German, English translation is in work), to choose between different shapes and sizes and then select which type of leather and which colors should be used for their personal creations. It's also possible to emboss names or initials onto the products. So nearly every product is more or less unique.

"Tanner" obviously stands for the material genuine leather and "Tailor" represents the customization-part. As both of these are real craftsmen and artisans, the name also reflects that we really care for quality and customer service. We believe that Open Innovation and Mass Customization are the future and that customers should have the chance to be involved in the design of their products!

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

To make our "artisan" approach more obvious, we are looking for a logo/illustration of an actual tanner and an actual tailor, working together next to each other. We are going to print this on all our product labels but we also want to get an embossing on a metal-plate.

We already came up with a rough draft, but it has to be reworked and refined.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

As we are only using genuine leather and manufacture more or less unique products, the prices of our products are naturally a little bit higher than these of standard products. So we are definitely not targeting bargain hunters but everybody who is interested in exceptional and bespoke products.

ITg Infrastructure Icons

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

ITg is a technology start-up specializing in software performance engineering (SPE). SPE is a relatively young field in engineering but a crucial discipline in today’s world. In short, we make computer enterprise systems perform faster and more efficiently. If you are waiting in a long line at the bank or checkout in a grocery store, tell the management they need ITg.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

SPE is a new discipline, therefore we use icons during our presentations, to better communicate what we do. These icons will require thought and imagination. We will be happy to provide clarification and answers to any and all questions about the icons. We would like detailed realistic drawings. As we’ve had some icons designed previously, we would like to keep the icon style consistent with what we have now. ("Current Icons"—document provided)

We need the following 6 icons created:

1.	Database Server -- Icon idea provided
2.	Application Server -- Icon idea provided
3.	Network Server -- Icon idea provided
4.	Company -- some kind of building, is a possible idea
5.	External Systems (Equifax, PayPal, FedEx) -- no idea provided
6.	Other Channels (ATM, PDA, VRU-telephone) -- no idea provided

For the first 3 icons, you MUST use the “sever image” attached, so that these 3 icons are consistent with our previous server related icons.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The primary audiences are our existing clients (executive staff of corporations) and potential clients.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We would like the icons to have a metal and technical feel. We are looking for something distinctive, realistic and detailed but want to leave the creativity up to your interpretation. We like the designs found at the following links, as well as the icons that have previously been created for us ("Current Icons"—document provided)

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Most of our presentations are given on a black background, so we prefer if the icons look nice on a black background.

We would like the new icons, to match the icon style that we currently have ("Current Icons"—document provided)

YNAB 3 Application Icon (Personal Budgeting Software)

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

You Need a Budget 3 (YNAB 3 for short) is the successor to our flagship software product YNAB Pro. The YNAB software and methodology is designed to help people manage their money by budgeting effectively.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

With YNAB 3, we really want to exceed our customers' high expectations. It is being written in Adobe AIR, and will thus run on Windows or Macs. We want our app to look great, and feel right at home with other well-designed Mac or Windows software. When someone uses YNAB 3, we want them to feel pleasantly surprised that finance software can be simple, and we even want them to be occasionally delighted with the user interface. Great icons are going to help us reach our goals.

For context, you can see some screenshots and a video of the YNAB 3 budget screen here:
http://www.youneedabudget.com/2009/ynab-3-budget-sneak-peek/ (This is using temporary icons of course at the moment)

The vast majority of the interface has been specified and/or implemented. Now, all that remains from a design standpoint is the Application Icon.

I have prepared a set of annotated comps which shows each required icon in its proper context, and gives a bit of extra information about how the icon will be used. Here is the list of icons with their corresponding size and the file in which you can find them:

Application Icon Description:
The application icon will be the richest and most detailed, and we'd like it to be fantastic enough that we can really feature it in high res on certain screens of our website. This icon should feel at home on a user's Mac doc.

Here is our current YNAB Pro application logo: http://screencast.com/t/w6Z0aX3aZY
It draws upon elements of our YNAB logo (http://screencast.com/t/1zut7PV5agd), which I think is a good thing.

I think it does a pretty good job of being vibrant. I think that drawing upon the Y and the tree in our current logo is a good idea. I am open to simply taking this icon and adding depth/richness to it like the icons I linked to above. I am open to ideas if you get inspired by looking at the app in the sneak peek (linked above).

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Current and future customers looking for a simple, effective personal budgeting/financial management application.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

As for design guidance on the bigger/detailed application icons, we think that the application icons of these sites are fantastic:
http://www.atebits.com/
www.pixelmator.com
http://www.panic.com/coda/
http://www.artua.com/view/icons/name/printcontrol/
http://www.madebysofa.com/#products

In general, the above application icons are rich, colorful, and often detailed enough that I feel like I can reach out and touch it. They have an element of delight.

Create a friendly, fun, and smart Scientist character for new web site

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Onus Communications, LLC provides writing and communications services to businesses, organizations, and individuals. One of our services is providing web content. As such, we are looking to subcontract some work to creatives who can create a graphic character to complement a new web site we have been tasked with creating.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a friendly, fun, science character for a new web site. This will not be a "mad scientist" type of character, but, rather, a cute, funny, endearing, friendly, safe character. We need this graphic character to be shown in several moods: happy, serious, cautious, surprised, and disappointed. We also need the character in several poses: facing and/or pointing left, right, up, and down. The character may be just a head and shoulders (i.e. a bust) or a full figure with arms and legs.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Female supermarket shoppers in the U.S. and U.K. ages 33-52 who are interested in food nutrition, health, safety, and quality. These are savvy shoppers who read food product labels, understand some of the science of food ingredients, and read web sites regarding food nutrition and safety. They are aware of some of the debates about the safety of food ingredients, like aspartame, but are not sure how they feel about it. They are receptive to guidance on food ingredients, food products, and health if its from a trustworthy source.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We envision a character with soft lines, bright and contrasting color tones, warm and inviting facial features, and something unique that makes him/her memorable. The character probably should have a lab coat on, and probably should have grey hair and a beard, although these are not required. Go outside of those parameters and use your own creativity to win the bid. It should be clear that the character is a scientist, is trustworthy, and gives good advice in a friendly, almost professorial, manner.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

MUST HAVE character attributes: scientific, smart, friendly, endearing, dependable, safe, trustworthy.

MUST HAVE multiple moods: happy, serious, cautious, surprised.

MUST HAVE multiple poses: facing left, facing right, facing down, facing up

MUST NOT HAVE character attributes: mad scientist; angry; devious; ugly; sobby;

Mascot design for an exciting startup in the green space

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are interns at the Green Business Bureau, a start-up based in Houston, TX that provides green rating standards and a green roadmap for small and medium sized businesses (think of it as a mix between the Better Business Bureau and LEED Green Building standards). We aim to help businesses go green by providing industry-specific suggestions for various initiatives businesses can implement in their office, which in turn helps to cut costs by lowering energy bills and reducing the amount of money spent on paper products, disposable kitchen products, etc. You can read more about us at www.gbb.org.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

This campaign ideally should have a mascot that will eventually become a permanent representative for the GBB to the younger constituents in our member base. This mascot will be one that can be used on all our publications (in various forms) that targets younger audiences. We’d like the mascot to stand out from other typical environmental symbols (such as a tree, planet earth, etc.), that would appeal to those between 20 to 30 years old.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our biggest intern project is a campaign that targets the Gen Y and millennial environmentalists that are currently working in companies that have not yet “gone green”. In order to expand our client base here at the GBB, we are looking to capture the attention of 20 to 30 year old “greenies”, those that care about the environment but may not be in the position to change office behaviors, to encourage them to convince their bosses to join the Green Business Bureau who would provide a program for greening the office.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We’ve come up with some ideas of our own, including a “Buffy the Eco Saver”, a mascot with buff arms and a cape, but we are also looking for fresh new ideas. We are looking for something along the lines of ‘Buffy the Eco Saver’ or other ideas that you may have would resemble the chimp on Mail Chimp (www.mailchimp.com). The GBB “gb” logo should appear somewhere on the mascot and our color scheme should lean towards bright environmental colors like shades of green and blue. A copy of the “gb” logo can be found on the resources section.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

A great design based on the above description and a Web 2.0 look! We are excited to work with you guys!

Illustration for Stratton Mountain School Scholarship Benefit

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Stratton Mountain School is a private snow sports academy located at Stratton Mountain, Vermont. Our school's mission is to provide each student with an opportunity to pursue excellence in competitive winter sports and college preparatory academics while developing strong personal values.

Visit www.gosms.org to get a better idea of what SMS is about.

Specifically, the illustration we are requesting is for our annual Winter Ball. The Winter Ball is a fundraiser that raises money for the Stratton Mountain School Scholarship Fund. Last year, more than 40 percent of students were awarded more than $650,000 in scholarship money, so this event is an essential part of making dreams happen at SMS. In 2009, the Winter Ball raised more than $80,000 toward scholarships at SMS.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need an illustration for the 2010 Winter Ball. Our theme this year is Rings of Glory and the illustration should somehow tie into this theme. Last year we used this illustration on the invitation, the "save the date" postcard, the event poster, and on several other Winter Ball marketing pieces. We hope to do the same this year, so the illustration should be versatile.

We have had more than 30 Olympians attend our school. During this Olympic year, we are honoring our former Olympians at this year's Winter Ball and we would like our illustration to do the same. We would like the Rings of Glory illustration to reflect Olympic traditions.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

It is a benefit, so potential donors are our main target. Trustees, parents and friends of the SMS community also make up the target audience. The event is typically a black tie affair.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

https://www.gosms.org/podium/default.aspx?t=108432&rc=1

This will link you to the illustration and promotion pieces we used last year. We were very happy with our illustration last year.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We are aware the Olympic rings are heavily copyright, but we'd like the illustration to have an implication of the Olympic rings somewhere in the illustration. We also like the idea of including the Olympic torch, and with it, a warm color scheme. We MUST have snow and mountains on the illustration, since we are a snow sports academy.

Tongal - College Newspaper Ad Design

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

---Tongal is a brand new crowdsourcing platform that facilitates the co-creation of commercials, music videos, brand integrated short films, instructional videos and other types of rich media as well as to generate, test and analyze ideas and concepts.

---Tongal members compete in contests designed for varying skill levels that progress in stages: from simple Idea Generation to Story and Video creation, all based on what CONTENT progresses, rather than which creator. Tongal rewards “creators” mostly with cash prizes (supplied by a "sponsor") and with a residual ownership in the content.

---Tongal also engages a "non-creator" community to predict the winning submissions, thus providing accurate metrics back to the sponsor as to which content was considered to be best in different locations and demographics.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Tongal held a contest on its own site to conceptualize an ad to run in college newspapers, now we want the Crowdspring community to design ads for the winning concepts. You should pick one of the 5 winning concepts and design a college newspaper ad for it:

1) On Tap Tonight...Your Brain: Visit Tongal.com tonight, and let us tap your brain for creative ideas. [image: student w/ beer tap on head...fluid goes into lab-type flask labeled "advertising ideas"]. Brands come to us to reach you for the freshest ideas - and YOU get PAID!

2) What happens in college, stays in college: Image of girl on phone with Mom. Girl says, “Mom. My roommate and I Tongaled last night." Mom says, “It’s okay honey. I did some crazy things in college too.” TONGAL.COM Get paid for your creativity. Tongal everyday. You’d be crazy not to.

3) Tongal - Do It With Your Friends: Ad is in the form of a comic strip with some copy below it: Frame 1: Female student asks Male student “What are you going to do tonight?” Male student says “ I am going to Tongal with Debbie..” Frame 2: Female student smacks male student “SMACK!” Frame 3: Shows girl walking away angry. Male student lying on ground holding face says, “Wait! Tongal is an awesome website. You enter contests, submit ideas and videos and you win money.” TONGAL.COM Do it with all of your friends.

4) Time To Tongal: Image of plain Jane standing in crowd at a fraternity party. As guys fawn over sorority girls. COPY “Not getting noticed…” It’s time to Tongal. TONGAL.COM Register now and stand out in the crowd. Get creative. Get Connected. Get Noticed.

5) Big Man on Campus: Maybe you're not the Big Man on Campus. So what? You don't get paid for that. Be the Big Man on Tongal.com where your BIG ideas can become $$$

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

College students with a creative side who are tech savvy, fun and need money

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We need two versions of each submission, color and black and white.
Images should be designed to fit into a 5 7/8" x 7" space in the newspaper

logo dogs multiple small cartoons

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I would like that you design the logo and some dog cartoons for a web oscommerce. I want to have a pet store with just one product, so this web should be focused in sell one thing (I mean, no product section is needed i.e.). It is a vitamin dog supplement for fat dogs. It will make the dogs to lose weight. take "slimdoggy" as the name. If you think in a better name, you're wellcomed to do some variation. I'm doing the web programming and I need a designer

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

So, I need the logo, and some dog cartoons. If you do also some color and layout integration, it would be great, but I want to focus in the logo and the cartoons. The cartoons are needed for the different sections of the web. One for faq, other for a dog being slim, some other the product (bacon that makes the dog slim), contact with a dog doing something, and so on.

The webpage should be simple, may be with big buttos (2.0 style), but serious, with a sport-oriented view. One of the main images (also it may be the logo) could be a dog climbing a mountain. (Just an idea, I don't know).

I want a style simmilar to doggystylepetshop.com (please take a look at the file I attach to understand this). I want some dogs cartoons all over the page, a serious page, with a design funny touch. Dogs can be doing things related to each section; onw dog for the faq, some other lookinf across a window, some other showing his head over other menu option... you get the idea.

Anyway, you can give me some surprise, you're the professionals.

This other page has also an interesting design, its boring but really clean, and they also sell one product:

http://www.brainquicken.com/

Timeframe for delivery: I need to have this up and running within 2 weeks.

Some examples that we liked in the logos.rar file . Please also check thinkings.doc document I attach some examples with some comments.

I'm not able to attach this file, is too big, please, download my thinkings about the design, to let you know more about my idea: http://rapidshare.com/files/292228395/thinkings.doc.html

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

People that has fat dogs, or sligthly fat dogs, and want that they lose weight. Its for people with fat dogs, probable médium age woman (or may be man), who is worried because his dog is a bit fat. We don’t want to focus in the medical view, we want to focus in the healthy and sport way, and that they will take his perfect size.

People’s lifestyle is sedentary, tipical médium nortamerican or european person. But they want to do some exercise, and play with the dog to loose fat. This is a delicious dog treat to get the dogs lose weight and fight obesity.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I like brown and green colors, I think.

TiVo makes the world’s best digital video recorders, as well as a host of other cutting-edge electronic entertainment devices. You can learn more at www.tivo.com.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We’re not looking for a new TiVo logo. We’re looking for artistic interpretations of the existing TiVo character. Draw him, paint him, sculpt him, photograph him—use any media and get creative. As long as he’s still reasonably recognizable as the TiVo logo, we’d like to see where your imagination takes you.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Not a critical component and it shouldn't drive your ideas.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We have no preconceived notions. Have fun and surprise us.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We must have some version of the word “TiVo”. We don’t want to see anything offensive or that violates someone else’s copyright.

Help us find our whirlybub character

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

A whirlybub is a brand new type of tealight holder for the UK. Like a glass bubble it looks beautiful suspended from fishing wire and even better once you place a lit tealight candle inside. Simple and elegant in design they look great clustered together as a light installation, hanging from trees in the garden, for christmas, for weddings, the list goes on and on.

We have an idea that this whirlybub has a real personality: it's good looking and it knows it, but it is so cute and charming you can't help loving it!

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We want a simple illustration to go on our website and marketing material of our new whirlybub character. We want the shape of the actual product to feature as part of the character and imagine the best way is to have the head in the shape of the tealight holder. The illustration must show the hole at the front of the holder and the closed loop on top of the holder. As this holder will most commonly be used with fishing wire through the loop at the top and with a tealight inside, featuring these somehow in the illustration would probably work well to make clear its purpose.

In our heads, the holder is like an astronaut's helmet with the eyes etc visible through the hole in the front. The holder/head is the focus so should be oversized with the rest of the body less important. These are just ideas - we are open-minded to better ones.

Showing us how you would copy the style of your character in the lettering of "whirlybub" would be great. We like the idea of the "i" having a flame instead of a dot.

Please see the attached files for close ups of the product from different angles. On the top of the whirlybub are two small holes. These should appear in the illustration but shouldn't be a main feature.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Lets face it, the average guy does not spend a lot of time thinking about candle holders so our target audience is women. We want to convey that the whirlybub is fun but above all that it is versatile, stylish and eye-catching.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like the mazuma character.
We like the idea of this illustration in just one or two colours.
We like the idea of this character as a simple cartoon-style line drawing.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Must have the shape of the holder.
Must design lettering for "whirlybub" to go alongside the illustration.

Graphic for Medical Networking Site

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

3MD is a startup providing networking and directory services to medical providers. We plan to launch our website in a couple of months and are looking to create the core pieces of a great brand. We have a slick logo, created by a Crowspring designer, and are looking to complete our look with a clean, professional graphic that will be used in our website and mobile applications.

Our name is inspired by research that shows MDs in the US have an average of only 3 degrees of separation. This is because they rely on each other to find the best treatments for patients. Our mission is to provide effortless communication between doctors, so that they can focus on improved patient care.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need an iconic style graphic that will be used on our website and mobile applications. Our look is clean and modern, using a lot of white space, so the illustration should be simple and fresh. The graphic should show the interconnectivity of doctors and healthcare providers.

It should look good on a white background and ideally scale well to a smaller screen. We have reserved a 700x400 pixel space on our website. We'd also like to use it on a 320 pixel wide mobile screen.

One idea is to have an image that shows 3 doctors in 3 different settings (hospital, pharmacy, academic/teaching) and somehow depict their connectivity. Possible icons for hospital: building, H symbol. Possible icons for pharmacy: beaker, Rx symbol. Possible icons for academic: podium, book, desk.

Another idea is to have many images of doctors connected (see uploaded picture - docs_connected.jpg as a sample)

We can use the look of the blue, green and gray “people” in our logo as the docs in the image, but are open to some other iconography.

No photographs please.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Doctors of all ages. Our likely users will be aged between 23 and 50.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

www.facebook.com - like the use of iconography to show connectivity on the logged out home page view.

I also attached another piece of art we like (docs_connected.jpg) - like the colors, the simplicity and use of white space.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

- Busy, crowded look
- Photographs
- Refrain from using too many colors outside of our color palette. If other colors are used, they should be toned down

illustration / fake photo of award trophy

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

My company ranks hedge funds via its Web site.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

My company will soon announce an annual award for the world's worst hedge fund manager.

It will be awarded to the manager who has lost the most money, in the most foolish fashion. Hence the title of the award: The Lossy.

I need a graphical representation of the "trophy" the winner of the Lossy will receive. I'm envisioning either an illustration or a photoshopped fake photo of the award statue.

The statue needs to represent the loss of money. Thus, I am envisioning (perhaps) a man pulling out his empty pocket. I am open to other ideas about how reckless loss of other people's money can be graphically conveyed.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

average every-day investors

We need 5 Illustrations for 5 different chocolate-loving characters

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a German start up that produces customized chocolate and distributes it via internet.
(www.chocri.de www.createmychocoltae.com)
The idea behind the chocri chocolate bar is simple: consumers can choose their chocolate base, and then select "toppings" of their choice to personalize their chocolate bar. Toppings include both the traditional and the outrageous. chocri chocolates are all organic, and fair trade certified. In January, we will expand to the US-market.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We have created a little playful quiz which leads to five different results. The results describe types of characters and what type of chocolate fits them. We need illustrations of these five different chocolate-lovers! The illustrations should be funny, but in a “sexy” way, so that everyone wants to identify with them.

Here are the quiz results:

A: You are the light-hearted and fun type of chocoholic! ’chocrilicious’
You are fun and flirty, light-hearted and don’t get upset easily. You have both feet on the ground, although carrying a balloon in one hand. As the ‘chocrilicious’-type, you are a sweet person that aims to please - and succeeds in doing so. Perfect for you are combinations with milk chocolate, nuts and cranberries.

B: You are the elegant type of chocoholic! ‘chocri-chic’
You are the diva of chocoholics, and will only be satisfied with the diva of chocolates. You are always prepared and always perfectly put together, and you expect your chocolate to be as well. Gold on the chocolate translates into gold on your neck and fingers, flowers on the chocolate are mirrored by the flowers you often receive from your admirers. You are a real head turner! Perfect for you is dark chocolate with gold powder or flowers.

C: You are the chocoholic that can never get enough and wants it all! ‘chocri-overload’
You are the kind of person that can never get enough: Nuts? Yes! Cranberries? Of course! Gold Flakes? Heck yes! Constantly indulging in the adventure called life, you make no compromise when eating chocolate. Your bar is as full as your calendar. Perfect for you is…everything: let your imagination run wild!

D: You are the strong and fearless chocoholic! ‘challenge-chocri’
You aren´t kidding around. Wasabi peanuts and whole jalapenos? No problem! You like to experience feelings strongly, even (or especially?) when eating. You are fearless, and take up tasks and challenges that others don't. But you don´t really talk about it - modesty is also one of your various virtues. Perfect for you is a spicy chocolate bar.

E: You are the adventurer type of chocoholic! ‘chocri-innovation’
Backpacking through Europe and Asia, you learned to appreciate extravagancies – and prefer chive rolls and sea salt on your chocolate. Always aiming to differentiate from the crowd, you stick out with a distinct taste and careful choice. Perfect for you is an exotic chocolate bar!

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The typical chocoholic: 75% of our customers are women, between the age of 20 – 29. Being young, individual, and a little extravagant, they are always searching for special things to make their lives exciting and extraordinary.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

The illustrations should be classy, stylish, sexy and funny.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Goofy designs, like in comic books.

Sari Saheli - Product graphics for an invention I just invented!

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

This design is for 'Sari Saheli' - which translated means, "Indian Dress Friend". If you've ever worn an Indian Sari, you'll know how difficult it is to put on correctly. The pleats are particularly difficult, and many women will often come to parties early to put their dresses on together, since it can require multiple people.

Our tool, the Sari Saheli, enables one woman, girl, or infant (not really) to do the pleats for her own Sari. No more teamwork needed!

If you like SAT analogies:

COMB :: HAIR
SARI SAHELI :: SARI

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Our product consists of a series of plastic flaps around/over which the cloth is wrapped to create the pleats for the Indian Dress. Imagine a booklet of semi-rectangular plastic flaps, 6-pages long, with some tabs cut out from the middle of the pages. A format is attached for your reference. The flap is a little less than 7 inches wide, and around 2 inches tall.

What we need is the "cover" design for this booklet. The inside flaps will all have a solid color, but we want the front-most flap's outside to be designed attractively. Our customers will, literally, be judging a book by its cover.

We have attached an example of the cover flap design that we mocked up ourselves. We really like it, but we'd like to see what you can come up with. Feel free to take the design in a totally different direction - or just make a better version of our own design. Whatever works.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience is:

'fashion-conscious women of Indian descent'

We'd like them to think we understand their Sari-related troubles. We'd also like them to think we're bringing to the world a product that will (hopefully) become as ubiquitous as the hair-straightener, shoehorn, or toothbrush. Every household item had to start somewhere.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Here is a list of links to designs/patters that we think are lovely:

http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-2621328-spring-in-pink.php
http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-6246685-seamless-damask-wallpaper.php

http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-8326531-mehndi-mandala.php
http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-illustration-1258871-mehndi-sari-borders-vector.php

We would definitely like to see some designs that have a henna pattern border along the edge of the entire flap. This isn't necessarily a design that we prefer, but we are curious how it would look. If you see that we're rating such designs poorly, it would be wise to disregard the previous sentences.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The design must incorporate our logo. It is attached in various formats for your use. Feel free to mess with colors, size, and positioning.

The design must not depend on US or "Western" imagery. The product is going to be sold in India and to Indians abroad, so please keep the need for international appeal in mind.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need this in full vector format and to fit on an 11x17 sheet of paper. See examples for styles of other infographic illustrations that I have found. A friend did a very rough basic concept for me but I do not like the style of this one at all

Custom icon set

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I am a boutique real estate broker in St. Louis, Missouri who focuses on selling within the historic neighborhoods and vintage properties of our inner city. When working with buyers and sellers, the one way that our local search provider of homes on the market does NOT allow us to search by is housing style. And this is one of the most intuitive ways that buyers like to shop for homes -- by what the hosue looks like on the outside! So, for a specific price range, I'm developing a site at http://www.SouthCityBungalows.com to allow buyers to learn about the different typical styles -- in a fun, engaging yet educative way -- of bungalows that we have in our market. I will be populating this web site with information on each of these styles of homes, including which neighborhoods each particular style is in, what common features (bedrooms, bathrooms, window types, flooring, etc), square footage ranges, etc.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need a set of 16 icons, one based on each style as shown on www.SouthCityBungalows.com, that will be vector based in a "web 2.0" icon style. Examples included with some notes on what I like about each example. These need to look good at a minimum of 48x48 pixels, upwards of 256x256, without losing great deals of detail when scaling back between these ranges in sizes. I am going to use these icons created by this project throughout the web site as navigation and representing each style. These will be in full color.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Home buyers who are shopping for starter homes in St. Louis city.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

See uploaded files for more info. You can see a photo of each style of bungalow at http://www.SouthCityBungalows.com/photos/
Also, at http://www.SouthCityBungalows.com you can see very heavily graphic examples of these bungalows as well.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Yo momma needs a character

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

MUNDPRYGL is Danish and means MOUTH (mund) and BEAT (prygl). Its a performing art similar to freestyle rap, in this case combined with the yo-momma concept known as "snaps".

A session of MUNDPRYGL is two persons taking turns, one minute at a time, for three rounds disrespecting eachother in a humorous way based on subjects annonced by the host and/or audience. The artist is not expected to rhyme allthough it can bring some finesse into the jokes.

MUNDPRYGL is a contest and winners are found for each session/battle.

MUNDPRYGL is about to get commercialized, and hopefully feature at a danish television programme, but we aim to keep it underground especially by the choices of venues where sessions are held. Parking lots, abandoned buildings, cellars, construction sites and in general sites that signals "after dark hours" in the big city.

In our market we have a competitor organizing freestyle rap events whos designline is 90% similated with boxing. Their shows are held in a real boxing ring. We consider our selves as the "streetfight version" of their boxing metaphor because they have strict rules to their concept while we're running a close to "no rules applied" show (no michrophones fx)

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A carachter spitting funny stuff to the audience and/or in the face of his opponent. Maybe two persons shown, one as the trashtalker and one as the reciever.

It is to be used in youtube movies as a title clip, and later integrated on a website. The resolution on youtube calls a bit for simplicity.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Primarily male audience between age 15 and 25.

We need a trademark that signals the intensity and suspence derived from a face to face battle on words. Although one could think of the word 'argument', we also need to associate with having fun doing it - and not least witnessing it.

As previously mentioned this is a battle phenomenon and therefore parallels to streetfighting is obvious and welcome.

We would like our audience to consider us as "street", "young", "daring" and "having fun".

Presenting the Agent Insight Tour Report

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

AgencyPort is a company that makes web applications for the insurance industry.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We're updating the banner on our home page at http://www.agencyport.com and we need your help!

The new banner will focus on the release of a written report on the state of the insurance technology market. Exciting stuff, huh?

The basic layout of the banner will be consistent with what's there now. We're looking for an illustration something that emphasizes the release of the report.

We're pretty open to creative suggestion, but two angles/subjects we've thought about are:

1) Playing up "Presenting" - for example, an illustration of a generic document with our logo under a spotlight or on a pedestal

2) Playing up the Investigative aspect of the report - "look what we've uncovered" "look what we've discovered" or something of the like.

You need not worry about the banner copy, just the illustration.

P.S. The name of the report is "Insight" if that inspires you...

See the attachments for a view of the canvas you're working with and a copy of the logo.

Please use the attachment (insight.jpg) as a layer in your submissions so the illustration can be evaluated as it will be seen on the website.

THANKS!!

Buyers of insurance web applications. We pride ourselves in being a progressive and fun firm in an otherwise somewhat boring industry.

Purebreds and Mutts

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are developing a digital wellness program for kids that includes working w/virtual pets, specifically dogs. We want to create virtual dogs that engender a lot of empathy and affection from children 6-10, skewing female. We are dedicated to helping children learn positive life skills so we want the virtual dogs to be pets that can grow w/the kids over time and that are fun for kids.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need you to do some killer drawings of some mutts and their purebred parents. We would like to see 3 mutts and 2 examples of purebreds from you. Please make the purebreds the parents of at least one of the mutts so we can see how you would combine traits to make a mutt. You can be as realistic or as stylized as you feel is right to best create characters/pet that kids will love and want to take care of over extended (ie multi-month) periods of time. The purebred breeds you can choose from are the following: blue heeler, puggle, dalmatian, great dane, german shepherd, jack russel, poodle, and golden retriever

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Mostly girls age 6-10 in the US. We need the mutts to appeal to them but not alienate boys and also not frighten parents.

Whimsical, Witty Penguin Tee Design

This would go in a tee (and other items) in a retail shop for an aquarium (and maybe a zoo).

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Witty, Whimsical, Fun, Funny. Looking for something outside the box. Humor is good. Simple is ok.
The final tee design (ideally) could also be on a mug and a magnet- if it works.
Consider that the layout may have an area where we would have to put the aquarium or zoo name. For now just put 'Your Aquarium Name Here' or 'Your Zoo Name Here' so we can consider fonts, placement, etc.
The key breed to focus on are 'Black Footed' (African)- or the Humboldt penguin...please google them for visuals. Or it could be a simplified 'generic' penguin- if you are getting more whimsical. Try to stay away from the large adult 'Emperor Penguin look'- (very typical and) not in our aquarium.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Families

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We DO NOT want a typical clip art look -unless for some reason it is INCREDIBLY witty!!! :)

Kids on a Mission to Improve their Brain Health

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are building a service designed to teach kids how to take care of their brains by taking care of their bodies. Our service is kid-driven (meaning it is fun) and parent-approved (meaning it is good for the kids). We want every aspect our company to express this open, inviting, and fun attitude, including our characters.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We want characters who are highly-relatable (but still a bit aspirational) role models for real kids. Our characters should be a band of friends that includes the following:

1, The Alpha Girl: she is cool, fun and sassy but also wants to do the right hing

2, The BFF: she is always ready for an adventure. She is sporty and bold.

3, The Geeky Kid: she or he is always thinking about the best way to do things and how s/he can make cool tools

4, The Goofy Kid: a bit clumsy but full of heart, up for trying anything

5, The Pet: their trusty pet (you pick- or make up- the animal) that follows them everywhere and is always available to help

We want an illustration showing these kids together the way you might see in a movie poster, about to engage in a mission or play a serious game of pretend. Their ages should be about 8-10 years old and you can choose what ethnicity you think feels right for each character. We want the image in color and will be using it as a concept doc. If we pick your design, we will likely invite you to be a paid part of the character design process so there is long-term work potential here.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

We need to appeal to kids 6-10, mostly in the USA.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

we like Murakami, NeoPets, Bratz, Spirited Away, and The Incredibles. We don't necessarily want an anime look but do want it to be kid-friendly.

woman runner charm design

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are developing a charm to be handed out to finishers of a women's running race. The charm will be approx 24 mm in diameter, 2 mm thick and silver plated.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

An illustrator image that our manufacturer can use to create a mockup. The charm needs to contain an outline image of a woman or women running, possibly a palm tree and one or two other elements. I'd like a textured background behind the images. The overall theme of the event is sunny, warm, beachy, etc. The image should not contain any text (that will be engraved on the back.)

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Women runners.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I have attached images of charms that are similar in nature. These provide the overall idea of what we are looking to create. I have also attached a ai file with a palm tree with two trunks. If the tree is used in the charm, I would only want one trunk/tree on the charm.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

There needs to be a woman (or two) running on the charm.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are very unhappy with our current artwork on display. Unfortunatly, I can not remove it. It is a horrible tattoo. It needs to be painted over using colors darker than the ones present. EI... Blue can go over yellow, but yellow can not go over blue.

I want to cover this one up. I figure ill try this site out.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I would like a fantasy illistration to cover the crap up. I willing to use anything that i remotely like given the strict boundries. I like Lord of the rings, Warcraft, Frankenstein, Comics, skulls, fire and so on. I also like technology in general.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

That I am cool

CRE 8 Logo & Icon

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

CRE 8 is an architectural design and build firm specializing in modern residential design for individual clients looking for a very special and modern styled home. Our portfolio is available for viewing at www.cre8atl.com.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking to "stylize" or "update" our current Logo & Icon. It has great market awareness, so the idea is to enhance it and bring it into the 21st century. Maybe be making it 3D or adding some type of artistic treatment to make it visually more interesting and strong. We do not want to change its general shape or form, just amplify its visual presence. The new Logo & Icon will be used in our website (www.cre8atl.com), business cards, signage, and in corporate marketing materials.

Ultimately, we need two layout versions...

1. One Logo with both the Icon and type as a single cohesive unit.

2. One with just the Icon and no type included.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Home buyers who are looking for a different living environment. They are generally between the ages of 30 and 55, wealthy, artistically sophisticated, with specific design tastes and opinions. Most collect art and are fashion forward in their presence and attitudes.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Our work and design attitudes are internationally inspired and definitely very modern.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Something that takes our current 2D Logo & Icon and makes it more visually interesting.

Illustration for Auto Repair Process - Change Your Car’s Filters

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a company that develops web-based software solutions to enhance the automotive repair process. Our goal is to use illustrations to help car owners to better understand the repairs being performed on their vehicles. It is important that our illustrations be both professional and consumer-friendly.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking for graphic designers to develop illustrations for specific auto repair process flows. The illustrations should contain graphics for each step in the auto repair process flow (for example, five illustrations if there are five steps). You could add simple text to explain each step of the process flow, if you would like to.

To make this easier for you, we have identified one repair process flow for you to illustrate: changing a car's air filter.

Here is an article and video that walks through the process on how to change car air filters. Please design the illustration based on the following instructions: http://www.edmunds.com/ownership/howto/articles/43786/article.html.
http://www.ehow.com/video_1560_change-air-filter.html.

Again, these should be technical illustrations that have a professional look but are *also* consumer-friendly. The consumer is the ultimate audience.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Consumers who drops their car off at dealership service centers or repair shops and want to understand the repairs being performed.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Clean, simple, professional.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We don't want "cartoon" type illustrations that do not seem professional. We also do not want overly technical line diagrams that are not meant for the average consumer (who knows very little about cars).
