Graphics and illustrations for website homepage

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

LedgersOnline is an online accounting and web application hosting business… We offer these two types of services. Here is some background on our company…

The LOL online accounting service can manage and coordinate accounting services for your accounting records that provide you with clean and concise monthly, quarterly and year-end reports. In addition to this, we provide you with an option for direct online access to your accounting application. To start there is no need to change your existing accounting system we can just plug in to the system you have in place right now. All of our services are delivered through the streamlined efficiency of our online systems and unparalleled client service.

The LOL hosting service allows you to stay connected to your accounting and bookkeeping data. Our system "web-enables" your existing accounting application, allowing you anywhere, anytime access to your live accounting data. Eliminate the hassles of passing files back and forth, and instead, easily enable collaboration between a business owner, bookkeeper, and accountant as part of the work-flow.
There is no need to change your existing software, as we can publish any desktop accounting application. This will make them web-enabled, allowing for real time access from multiple locations to foster collaboration and efficiency. LedgersOnline has the technology to allow us to publish any desktop application to you as a web application integrating easily with Quickbooks®, Simply Accounting® and many other popular accounting and financial management software packages

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need two professional, trendy graphics that we can use as the main graphical features on our website’s homepage. We are hoping to have these graphics become 2 of 6 graphics that will rotate through on the homepage… We are trying to be unique and to stand apart from most online accounting and hosting website out there. We would like to generate a more modern, web 2.0 feel to our website, which is currently under construction. (I will attach a screen shot of our new design for the website.)

We have two awards, feel free to come up with a graphic for either of the below two graphics described or both of them.

The first graphic will include the words “UNDERSTAND YOUR CASH FLOW”.
We need a strong, creative graphic depicting this phrase, bringing life to what might be considered a boring topic.

The second graphic will include the words “FIND HIDDEN INCOME”. We will also need a strong, creative graphic depicting this phrase.

Feel free to use charts or graphical representations in the images. We would like them to be detailed, clever, and crisp and not cartoon like; with a 3D, multidimensional feel. We would also like to maintain a consistent style throughout the graphics. So there is potential for more work on the other four graphics if you are awarded this initial project.

As the graphics rotate through 1 to 6 the words beside the graphics box will read:
“Grow your accounting business, not your accounting department.” (LOL slogan)
“LedgersOnline combines technology solutions and professional services to create a simple and effective method to outsource your accounting and bookkeeping.”

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Users of the site are generally small to medium sized business.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

No preference as of now. Open to all ideas. I Will post updates to narrow this down.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Again, we are flexible and open to all design ideas + color pallets, although they should correspond with the attached mock up of our new site. I look forward to seeing your creativity in action. We will post comments and feedback based on the submissions to indicate our preferences.

Tabs, buttons, icons and layout design needed for a forum.

A unique, modern and professional looking universal design is needed for a forum display (multiple users making posts).

There are two basic sections to the design.

1. Layout. This includes the tabs, buttons, colors, and the layout of the information in relation to the look and feel of the forum.

The actual HTML of the site isn't required. What is needed is to design a visually appealing layout that would work well in both a professional commercial site or a hobby site.

2. Icons. Related to the display, but this is very important for the usability of the software. A customer using the site should have a good idea of a function by seeing the icon.

There are about 60 16X16 pixel small icons that will need to be designed, and about 10 40X40 pixel larger icons. A rough draft using freeware & stock icons will be provided, but it is important that the created icons aren't generic looking.

Icon Design for Web Site

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Our Web site is an on-line community and content aggregation portal for documents, site reviews, news, video and blogs.

The site should not come across as too technical and should make use of unique, informative and simple web 2.0 icons throughout the design.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

First, we need icons for the three elements that explain the purpose of the site from a user perspective.

Users can 1.Learn about the topic, 2.Share content and 3.Connect with other community members. These icons are illustrated on the Home page - see attached file. The icons you see on the screen-shot, are temporary stock icons. We need to replace them with original ones, developed specially for our site.

Also, we need eight icons for communities. The current examples are also placeholders – your designs do not need to follow the same theme. We need icons that depict the community name and theme that are easily associated with each community.

The Innovation community is the community related to product/service innovation, product/service design, research and development.

The Engagement community is the community related to customer engagement, customer feedback and brainstorming.

The Creative community is the community related to interests such as photography, video, graphic design, SW development and branding.

The Social community is the community related to social and environmental subjects such as community based projects, social production, group organizing, green issues, medicine, education, government and politics, and religion.

The Knowledge community is the community related to open Q&A, community based knowledge development, market intelligence and for collaborative sharing of ideas.

The Prediction community is related to trend watching and forecasting.

The Crowdfunding community is related to applications that involve raising money, which could be donations for good causes or investment for social or commercial projects.

The Tools community relates to software platforms that can be used to build and interact with communities for any of the previously mentioned applications in the other communities.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Web 2.0 experts and social/media professionals.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

You can look at live example of «1-2-3» concept here: www.leadvine.com

www.JiveSoftware.com (see attached file)

www.Pixel-Mixer.com (see attached file)

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We can provide you with mock-ups of Home and Communities pages (*.psd) if needed.

Icons that you create, should meet the requirements:
•	Home page: not wider than 200 px;
•	Communities page: 100×100 px;
•	All icons should be provided in source files  (PSD, AI/EPS or layered PNG/TIFF are appreciated);
•	All colors — in RGB.

In-Game Artwork for Mobile RPG Game for iPhone and Android

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a mobile software startup PerBlue. We have a mobile game called Parallel Kingdom. It is available in the iTunes App Store and already has about 70,000 accounts. We are working on a major upgrade of the game and we need new artwork.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

This job is to help us find a new style for the game graphics. We’ve picked 10 images that represent various elements of the game that we would like you to modernize and vectorized with your own style.

Attached is screenshots of our game, with current artwork, and all current graphics.

We’re hoping that with the winner of this small set, we will be able to choose the graphic style for the rest of the game images.

** The winner of this contest has a very good chance at helping us finish the rest of the 100+ game images **

So we’re counting on your creativity to help us find a distinct style for the game graphics.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Role Playing Gamers, that are playing on mobile devices Many players look at these graphics for hours on end, some other players just play for a few mins. We want them to think our game is attractive, fun and enjoyable. It should feel modern and they are playing a very cool game. The art should excite them about the game. The game play follows through and delivers on the excitement.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like crisp vector art with modern looking gradients.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

-	We’d like the images to have a distinct style. In other words, we would like our graphics to have some character and not just look like generic icons
-	As far as detail goes, err on the low side. Great news for you! The game is played on a small screen (iPhone, Android phones) so the images need to look good and clear when scaled down to game size.
-	For the updated game graphics, we may want to use slightly larger images than we currently have (maybe 25-50% larger). See the link in the brief for the actual image files that we are revising.
-	We want more modern and professional-looking vector graphics instead of the hand-drawn raster look that the game currently has.
-	The game is played on top of a Google Map background. You will probably want to use this background to test your images against and make sure they have enough contrast. See the screenshots for an idea of how this looks in the game.
-	The same images are used in the game menus with a black background so they need to contrast a reasonable amount with a black background also.
-	It’s OK to submit some initial entries without doing the entire set of icons. Hopefully this will allow you to show your style and get quick feedback. We will try to be responsive with feedback so you can refine your ideas and eventually expand your style to the entire set.
-	For the buildings, please make sure that the perspective and lighting is consistent among them

We understand that our feedback improves the final product so WE WILL TRY TO BE VERY RESPONSIVE AND DESCRIPTIVE WITH OUR FEEDBACK.
Thanks and good luck. Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!

Eight faces varying in emotion from very strong hate to very strong enthusiasm

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

It's for a web app where users can vote to indicate their degree of love or hate for sports teams. The images needed form the scale which users click on to indicate their position.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

8 faces, like emoticons, which show different emotions ranging on a scale from very strong hate or disgust to very strong enthusiasm.

One showing extreme disgust or hate.
One showing strong disgust or hate.
One showing less strong disgust or hate, more like dislike.
One showing very mild dislike.

None for indifference.

One showing slight like or enthusiasm.
One showing a bit more like or enthusiasm.
One showing strong liking or enthusiasm.
One showing massive enthusiasm, support, love (in a manly way).

I'm thinking scowling, bared teeth, wrinkled disgusted look, that sort of thing for the negative faces.
Grins, smiles, shouting, that sort of thing for the positive faces.
The idea is for the faces to make a scale: they should be as evenly spaced and symmetrical in the strength of the emotions shown as possible.

They don't have to be strictly just faces, for example they could show fists being pumped in the air.

Each image also needs an alternative version to be shown when it is the selected emotion. This could be as simple as putting a glow around it or adding a background image. This should be regular across all the images and should fairly obviously show that the image is currently selected.

The images should be the same size and shape. I'm thinking round like emoticons but would be open to other suggestions if they work well.

40px by 40px for each image would be ideal. Scalable images would be great if possible.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Fans of sports: soccer, rugby, F1, cricket...
Leaning more to English sports than American.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Nothing which suggests actual violence e.g. weapons brandished
No kissy love hearts.

Custom Bungalow Icon Set (16)

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I am a boutique real estate broker in St. Louis, Missouri who focuses on selling within the historic neighborhoods and vintage properties of our inner city. When working with buyers and sellers, the one way that our local search provider of homes on the market does NOT allow us to search by is housing style. And this is one of the most intuitive ways that buyers like to shop for homes -- by what the hosue looks like on the outside! So, for a specific price range, I'm developing a site at http://www.SouthCityBungalows.com to allow buyers to learn about the different typical styles -- in a fun, engaging yet educative way -- of bungalows that we have in our market. I will be populating this web site with information on each of these styles of homes, including which neighborhoods each particular style is in, what common features (bedrooms, bathrooms, window types, flooring, etc), square footage ranges, etc.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need a set of 16 icons, one based on each style as shown on www.SouthCityBungalows.com, that will be vector based in a "web 2.0" icon style. Examples included with some notes on what I like about each example. These need to look good at a minimum of 48x48 pixels, upwards of 256x256, without losing great deals of detail when scaling back between these ranges in sizes. I am going to use these icons created by this project throughout the web site as navigation and representing each style. These will be in full color.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Home buyers who are shopping for starter homes in St. Louis city.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

See uploaded files for more info. You can see a photo of each style of bungalow at http://www.SouthCityBungalows.com/photos/
Also, at http://www.SouthCityBungalows.com you can see very heavily graphic examples of these bungalows as well.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Please pay attention to the perspective, angle and overall feel of the sample icons shown in the attached PDF document.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

www.ioffer.com - global marketplace

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Looking for a new set of icons and design for general site navigation located in the header. There is two different states, logged out and logged in (logged in having additional drop down links)

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

A new icon set, with minimal design (white or light background). The actions are "Buy, Sell, Want Ads & Help" (getting rid of the community action). I'm looking for the top row of icons to be replaced first (not the ones shown in the drop down menu). Eventually I would like to replace all of our site icons with a concise set.

Graphics for iPhone application helping non-profits raise funds

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

MTB Mobile develops mobile applications for business-to-consumer communications. Currently we are working with a variety of non-profit organizations, and this is the first of a series of applications we will be launching.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Our iPhone application is intended to be used by supporters of Heifer International (heifer.org), and shared widely by them. The graphics need to fit the logo and culture of the organization, ideally with a little bit of a mobile "spin".

The application consists of a main "home page" with buttons to launch six "sub-applications". We need a home page for the application, a child-friendly launch page for one of the sub-applications, a good font and a series of icons to represent the sub-applications and the games, all tied together with a common graphical theme.

Specifically, we need:
- full-size image for home page
- icons for each of the 6 sub-applications, integrated into the home page (and usable elsewhere)
- full-size image for games menu page
- icons for each of the 5 games, integrated into the menu page (and usable elsewhere)

More detail and a sample screen shot are provided in the attached document.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Supporters of Heifer International (heifer.org). The home page will be used primarily by Baby Boomers, and the games primarily by pre-literate children.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

The design should thematically match Heifer's website (heifer.org).

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We must have the organization's logo in the home page.

icons for software product

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

CloudSwitch provides an enterprise gateway to the cloud. The CloudSwitch software appliance enables enterprises to benefit from the cloud’s dramatic improvements in cost, rapid deployment and scaling. Backed by Matrix Partners, Atlas Venture and Commonwealth Capital Ventures, CloudSwitch is based in Burlington, MA and is led by seasoned entrepreneurs from BMC, EMC, Netezza, RSA, SolidWorks and Sun Microsystems.

CloudSwitch makes it easy. Enterprises are protected from the complexity, risks and potential lock-in of the cloud, turning cloud resources into a flexible, cost-effective extension of the corporate data center.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need software icons for our software product/appliance. This project is for the first four icons listed below. These four initial ones will be part of a larger family of icons.

•	Move: Move an application to another location
•	Start: Start the application
•	Import: Import your application
•	Fit: Find the best location for an application

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Large enterprise companies with existing data centers and 500-5000 servers. Target individuals within those companies include: Director of IT, Vice President of IT, Senior Engineer. These are busy, serious executives, mostly men in their 30’s to 50’s that make 100k+

Unlike other providers, CloudSwitch does not require enterprises to modify their applications in any way, or create new applications that are tied to a vendor-specific platform.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like the rich glare-less gradient and the large size of the images of this sample.

http://www.fotolia.com/id/15110583

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The icons should work with the attached logo and anyone of the three attached palettes we are considering. We would like one consistent rich background gradient color with white symbols.
No rims, no glare – not overdesigned.

Icons Needed for Education Website

We are an education company that sells a product called Inform in the K-12 market space.

Inform is a data warehouse and assessment platform – allowing school districts to import assessment results from any source into the system for disaggregation.

We are looking to redesign the icons on our website (see the attachments).

As it stands right now, we seem to be lacking an overall icon theme/scheme (look?). A lot of our icons, while relevant in their design, are either too busy, involve too many colors that compete with each other, or simply do not work well together.

What we are looking for is a series of icons that are relevant (visually associated with the tasks they perform) and uniform in their design and look.

These icons will essentially help us complete the new look and feel of our website.

The icons will be clicked primarily by educators in the K-12 market space.

We need 26 icons for our website’s User Interface. However, more importantly, we are really trying to capture an icon concept/theme/scheme for our site.

From our site, icons #17 through #21 (a series of report buttons) seem to have captured a type of uniform feel that we like, and we would like to continue that sense of continuity throughout the entire site.

Just to be clear, while icons #17 through #21 have captured a relevant/uniform feel, we are willing to sacrifice those icons and the concept behind them for a better concept/theme for the entire site. Or, a creative user on Crowd-Spring could run with the basic concept behind #17 through #21, and apply it to the other 21 icons.

The icons requested must be in 24x24 pixel format, with the ability to scale down to 16 x 16 in certain cases.

In addition, one uniform skinning convention should also be provided for the entire icon set to overlay on an icon to represent them when they are depressed.

Single Icon -

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Benevity is a micro-donation platform that allows companies to embed charitable giving opportunities inside of e-commerce stores and loyalty programs.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

This icon will be attached to products in e-commerce stores and needs to suggest that the particular product carries with it a charitable contribution to the charity of the customers choosing. As such, this icon need to be generic and suggest charitable giving of all kinds and not reflect any individual charity.

- Size: the icon will need to scale down as small as 22x22 and still impart the "choice of charity" concept.
- Format: Photoshop or Illustrator
- Requirements: the background needs to be transparent to support multiple store designs, prefer designs that don't use words to impart the meaning, the icon should not reflect our brand and logo

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The target for this icon is e-commerce store shoppers. We'd like them to be able to immediately recognize what products have a charitable contribution attached to them. We'd also like them to understand that they get to choose the charity that the donation goes to.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

This design challenge is significant enough without us adding meaningless adjectives like "modern and clean".

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The icon cannot represent an existing charity. No GIF animations please.

8 Icons for application Toolbar - NprTools

See: http://wiki.renderplus.com/?title=NprTools_Icons for a full description of the project with images and existing icons.

This is an overview of requirements for the crowdSPRING project to create new icons for [[NprTools]]

This is a project to create 8 icons for a new add-on product for SketchUp - NprTools (Non-photorealistic Tools).

Project requirements

Render Plus Systems

Render Plus Systems develops and markets add-ons for Google SketchUp.

We have several add-on products.

We want to create icons for a new product NprTools (Non-photorealistic Tools).

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED

Design new icons to be used for the new product.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS

Architects, graphic designers and product Designers who use 3D graphics in their work and want to ceate artistic renderings of their models (watercolor effects, charcoal sketch effects, etc.)

Our target audience is design professionals. All of our users also use Google SketchUp, so visit their site

See: http://sketchup.google.com

to get an idea of the target audience.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS

The new icons should fit in well with the existing SketchUp icons.

However, because there are so many icons already, it would be a good idea to use a common color, common element, or common style to give the new toolbar a coherent look.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN

Each logo should be provided in 16x16, 24x24 and 32x32 transparent .PNG format.

For early submissions, you should send the 24 x 24 icons. If you are selected as the winner, you will be expected to create 16 x 16 and 32 x 32 icons as well.

If you use an icon generation program which makes it easy to create the icons in various resolutions, you should send us the icons in the format for that program as well, so it will be easier for us to make changes to the icons in the future.

ICONS DESIRED

See: http://wiki.renderplus.com/?title=NprTools_Icons for a full description of the project with images and existing icons.

The icons should be compatible with the icons already contained in the SketchUp product.

1. Product Logo

This is a logo for the overall product. When the user clicks it it brings up an about box.

2. Soft Shadows

Creates soft shades from the SketchUp Mode

3. Sketchy Shadows

This is the most powerful of the tools. It replaces the solid shadows in SketchUp with shadows made from patterns.

4. Sketchy Textures

Creates new textures from standard patterns and SketchUp Sketchy Styles.

5. Soft Edges

The Soft Edges feature applies a color and mask to the edges lines in a SketchUp rendering to make the edges softer.

6. Crayon Colors

Select from 132 Crayola® colors and use a special Crayon Style for display.

7. Save Model As Image

Saves images from your current model in several modes. (Usually for use combining them later in Paint Programs).

8. help System

Al icon to load the help system

Network Services and Training Company Seeking Product Page Imagery/Iconography

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Graded Labs, LLC is a network services and training company that provides customers with tools to assist in the learning of Cisco equipment in order to obtain their CCIE certifications. Graded Labs provides rack rentals and lab workbooks for a variety of Cisco Learning Tracks. For more information about the company visit www.gradedlabs.com. We do have a new website in development that these new designs will be used for. See the attached files for a screen shots of the new design. For detailed information on the product offerings visit our partner company, www.internetworkexpert.com.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

n short, we are looking for several images or iconography that will be used as product images in our new store. There are several product images that need to be included in your design. These images do not need to be photo realistic. They can be abstract graphical representations, if you feel that is appropriate.

We are looking for images for the following products: tokens, rack rentals, mock labs, polymorphic assessment labs, tech bits, and learning capsule. These products are available for different Cisco technology tracks such as CCIE Routing & Switching (RS), CCIE Security (SC), CCIE Service Provider (SP), CCIE Voice (VO), etc. We would like to use the same base image for a rack rental, for example, but have a easy to change label somewhere on the icon to denote the technology track.

Description of products
Tokens - Tokens are a digital currency that can be used for rack rentals, mock labs, and polymorphic assessment labs.

Rack Rental - Product description (http://www.internetworkexpert.com/ccie_rack_rentals.htm#1) Basically, when someone purchases a rack rental they are buying time on some equipment. After purchasing a rental, we send them login information and connections to the equipment are made remotely. The equipment they rent varies on the technology track. However, they are essentially a set of connected devices in a cage.

Mock Lab - A mock lab exam is 8.5 hour simulation of the official exam encounter. The customer is given a series of tasks to complete and a fixed time of 8.5 hours to complete it in. Afterwards, how they performed the tasks is graded by a proctor and they receive a score report.

Polymorphic Assessment Lab - An polymorphic assessment lab is a set of tasks designed to gauge and assess the students technical knowledge. The polymorphic aspect is that the lab is uniquely generated for each student based upon how they self-assess their ability. For example, If they self-assess themselves as "experts" and expert-level set of tasks is generated for them. Afterwards, how they performed the tasks is graded by our software and they receive a score report and learning recommendations.

Learning Capsule( or Capsule for short) - these are a series of inexpensive and short tasks. The goal of this product is to encapsulate a particular subject and provide the student some practice tasks that are low-cost to the student and short in duration.

Tech Bits - A tech bit is a short article or streaming movie about a specific technology. These are small helpful tidbits of information for the student.

The certifications are broken down by level.

* Entry
	IP Networking (CCENT)

* Associate
 	Design (CCDA)
	Routing and Switching (CCNA)
	Security (CCNA Security)
	Voice (CCNA Voice)
	Wireless (CCNA Wireless)

* Professional
	Design (CCDP)
	Routing & Switching (CCNP)
	Security (CCSP)
	Service Provider (CCIP)
	Voice (CCVP)

* Expert
	CCIE Routing and Switching
	CCIE Security
	CCIE Service Provider
	CCIE Voice
	CCIE Wireless

So basically, we have six products that we would want to brand for the different certifications. The product matrix would resemble this:

				|	CCIE RS	|	CCIE SC	|	CCIE SP	|	CCIE VO	|	ETC |
Mock Labs | X	| X	| X	| X	|	X |
Rack Rentals | X	| X	| X	| X	|	X |
Tech Bits | X	| X	| X	| X	|	X |
Learning Capsule | X	| X	| X	| X	|	X |
Tokens | X	| X	| X	| X	|	X |
Poly labs | X	| X	| X	| X	|	X |

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Mostly males around 35 years of age.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Images should be in vector format or look good at a size of 256x256. Images should contain a place for a label (CCIE RS,CCIE SP, CCIE SC, CCIE VO, etc) for the different Cisco certifications.

Images wanting to see:
Tokens, poly labs, mock labs, rack rentals, tech bits, learning capsule, add to cart button, check out button, generic image for a certification level (eg. CCIE RS, CCNA RS, etc). PSD/AI files needed.

iPhone App Icon and Start Menu

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Company: We create incredible iPhone Apps, including games and ways to make and share music, that are cutting edge. (Currently under a different name. Soon to be Fried Green Apps.)

iPhone App "Mix Me In":
Soon-to-be-released iPhone App called "Mix Me In" records your vocals and instruments and enables you to mix them with popular songs.

Example, you can sing to a U2 song, then eliminate Bono's vocals and put your own vocal track in its place. Or you can add a different drum track or even different instruments. You can play around a lot with a song's tracks.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need two complementary items for the iPhone App called "Mix Me In":
1) iPhone app icon: 57px by 57px (square), 72ppi, RGB, layered, no transparency, 24 bit PNG or vector-based
2) iPhone app Start Menu: 480px by 320px (vertical), 72ppi, RGB, layered, no transparency, 24 bit PNG or vector-based

The Start Menu should tie into the app icon and provide a general musical theme with two buttons:
1) Record
2) Mix

If you have any iPhone app, launch it and you'll see the Start Menu.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

People who love music and purchase iPhone apps. Not only musicians because this simple-to-use app is pretty good just for Karaoke as well. So it's for anyone who likes music – from beginners to advanced.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

The logo should have a web 2.0 feel. Common characteristics are big, colorful, and simple. It should include the liquid and reflection effect. And it should feel like other iPhone App icons on the iPhone screen.

For icons, look at:
http://guitartoolkit.com/
Also, the actual app icons for:
-Recorder
-Looptastic
-Amazing Piano

For Start Menus, look at:
The App: Recorder for iPhone
http://www.recordertheapp.com/
http://www.moocowmusic.com/
http://www.moocowmusic.com/Bassist/index.html
http://www.moocowmusic.com/Organist/index.html

Also, there were many great designs that were developed from our logo project. Many of these could be tweaked slightly and work wonderfully.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Should include musical icon or representation. The start menu should also be simple... a large musical image with two buttons: Record and Mix

PLEASE review this file thoroughly, and feel free to post any questions or concerns while the project is “active.” Note that some icons, namely the status icons in the process control module (Processing, Error, Unprocessed, and Complete) need to blink.

Need fun Website Header for Women's Self-Defense company

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a women's safety & self-defense education company. We offer this education through live seminars, books, DVDs and our website. Our current website is http://www.girlsfightback.com

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are re-designing our website, and need a designer to give our web presence a face lift. Here is the site that is currently under construction, which we need these projects designed for:

http://www.girlsfightback.com/newsite/

So we need two things:
1. Main Website Header (currently the cityscape with the briefcase)
This graphic is Fireworks, and is currently very dark. We want the blue background to match our logo, or somewhere near that. (lighter than the current dark blue) We like the cityscape, but nothing else about this template graphic.

2. 4 Web Icons (currently the 4 yellow/white boxes that bounce)
Currently we have the correct text, but we would like icons that match what the words say. From left to right, here are some ideas of icons. The icons you see are from the template, but we like how sleek they look, with a reflective almost 4-d thing going on.

LEARN ONLINE - a lightbulb?
BOOK A SEMINAR - a calendar? (save the date)
TAKE A CLASS - we thought of a paper airplane - any other ideas?
GO SHOPPING - either a shopping bag or a shopping cart

All the source files you need are here, including our logo:
http://www.girlsfightback.com/crowdspring/

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Young women, ages 18-39. They are fun, friendly and very new to the concept of women's self-defense.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

These are overall company vibes that our audience likes, and their websites reflect that:
MTV: http://www.mtvu.com/
Roxy: http://www.roxy.com/home/index.jsp
Timbuk2: http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/home

Here is our current website - it's okay, but it needs to be taken to the next generation.
http://www.girlsfightback.com

Here is my Twitter page - really clean, clear and not cluttered
http://www.twitter.com/erinweed

All source files for this project, including our logo can be downloaded here:
http://www.girlsfightback.com/crowdspring/

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Must have:
A fun vibe, girly but not over the top, stick with our logo colors (blue & green), an overall clean look. We are striving to make women's self-defense approachable, friendly and feminine - especially for women under 40.

Our main font used in our logo is SF Slapstick: http://www.dafont.com/sf-slapstick-comic.font

Our secondary font is Dakota Handwriting - we like it but are open to other ideas: http://www.fonts101.com/xt_fontdetails_az_FID!18114~Dakota~font.html

All source files for this project, including our logo can be downloaded here:
http://www.girlsfightback.com/crowdspring/

Don't want to see:
Any dark colors. Don't make the website look tough or intimidating. Our audience is not hard-core boxing chicks, but women and girls who have never stepped foot in a self-defense class. We are NOT martial artists and don't want any Asian flair design concepts that normally accompanies martial arts.

5 Homepage Buttons for Tournament themed website:

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a Tournament themed website for everything and anything that users would like to participate in online and where winners are chosen by online voting. For example, you can challenge your friends to an eating tournament, or enter your dog in a "Cutest Puppy" tournament, or enter yourself in a "Best Blue Steel face impersonation" tournament.

There are Four main stages to any Tournament on our website:
Create - create a new tournament!
Compete - compete in a created tournament!
Predict - predict the outcome of the tournament (like who will win each round of play)
Vote - cast your vote to determine the winners of the tournament

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need 4 medium sized, square dimension Icon Buttons that we will use on our homepage. These buttons will take our users to the appropriate sub-homepage for each of the four functions (Create, Compete, Predict, Vote).

Plus, we need a 5th smaller sized square button that will represent "Explore" which will take users to a random tournament within our website if a user can't decide what to look at, or if they are in the mood for a surprise (kind of like an internal StumbleUpon concept).

I have attached a blurred screenshot (for privacy and NDA reasons) of our tentaive homepage design for your reference in terms of size, location, color, and feel of the website. The areas circled in Red are the locations of where the 5 buttons will be inserted. We currently have stock images placed where the 5 buttons will be located, and we can't wait to replace these stock images with your custom made creations made just for us because the stock images just don't match at all!

Our logo colors include white/light gray, crimson, and black. Please stick to this color scheme or at least something that will compliment our color scheme... because we don't want to many colors fighting each other in the design (such as the way that it is now with the multi-colored stock images in place).

An idea of ours is to choose one color, perhaps crimson or gray, and to increase the color saturation in gradual increments to represent the 4 different stages. For example, "Create" will be the lightest/most transparent crimson, followed by "Compete" which will be slightly more saturated in crimson color, followed by "Predict" which will be even more saturated in the crimson color, followed by "Vote" which will be the fully saturated crimson color. But we are open minded to new ideas and new concepts from a designer with a trained eye for this stuff.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

College aged - Young professional audience.

We want to create a fun, competitive, interactive environment. We want our users to get involved and play!

We want it to feel like we don't take ourselves too seriously, so comedy and light-heartedness is a plus (but please no vulgar or offensive humor... just keep it neutral for our homepage).

Simple, intuitive graphics are key here because we want our website to be user-friendly and self-explanatory for each of the functions that we offer.

We definitely DO NOT want a corporate feel. So, please help us make our neutral/boring colored template look more fun and interactive.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

http://divageekdesigns.com/2008/10/11/11-cool-social-networking-and-rss-feed-icon-sets-twitter-digg-stumbleupon-etc/
We like the "snap2objects" look and the one below it, the "freakgroup" icon buttons look featured on this website.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Absolutely must be intuitive and self explanatory so that users can associate the buttons with the functions themselves (Create, Compete, Predict, Vote, & Explore)

Absolutely must be square in shape.

Absolutely must contain the words "Create", "Compete", "Predict", "Vote", "Explore" (although, without the quotation marks) in each of the buttons along with the graphic itself.

Status Meter/Level Icon for walking site

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Walker Tracker is a step-tracking community for pedometer enthusiasts. We've walked 4 billion steps to date. http://walkertracker.com

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Walker Tracker is already a sort of real-life game - you can compete, compare stats, socialize, get feedback on your progress. Everyday you enter the steps you have walked.

What we're doing now is building in a points system, so that walkers feel as though they are working toward the next level, just as if you were practicing for your next belt in Karate, or toward the next level in World of Warcraft. We need a way to indicate these levels to the user.

These will be mini dashboard-like icons that will tell you:
1) What level you're on
2) Whether you're meeting your step goal

They will need to be very small: 80 pixels wide by 14 pixels high. They're intended to be affixed to the bottom of a user's icon. Here's our default 'anonymous' icon:
http://walk.cachefly.net/images/anonymous.gif
here's a few of our user's existing icons:
http://walkertracker.com/talk/img/avatars/3653.jpg
http://walkertracker.com/talk/img/avatars/3589.gif
http://walkertracker.com/talk/img/avatars/5168.jpg

If you feel like 14px high isn't enough, a piece of the icon could stretch up and overlap the user's icon, but just a small part, and only if it was necessary/subtle enough.

Part of this challenge is coming up with a good metaphor for indicating levels. There are status indicators everywhere -- in games, the battery level on your laptop, amazon star ratings, military stripes, thermometers, etc. However - good design may not need a real-life metaphor here.

Most importantly, we want something that is interesting enough that a user stares at it, checks in on her score there (via hover which we'll do) and strives to make it to the next level. This is a game, and this is the game's scoreboard, and it's something that will be glanced at a lot.

So, regarding points 1 and 2 above:
1) For level, this must be something that accumulates, or shows with a glance a progression.
I would allow for 10-14 accumulations, if possible. Or more if you can. This could be in the form of items that build, along with color changes to indicate a whole new level.
This bulletin board uses a military motif (which would not work for us):
http://www.healthdiscovery.net/forums/images/ranks/major.gif
http://www.healthdiscovery.net/forums/images/ranks/lieutenant.gif

2) This can be a single stationary item that changes color. It will indicate if they are:
   a) Below their goal (need to work harder)
   b) At their goal (good!)
   c) Above their goal (we discourage this - we want them to reset their goal and move back to #b.

Here's the forum post where the idea was introduced to the site for feedback and the original sketch:
http://walkertracker.com/talk/viewtopic.php?id=2403
(Please note that the idea has matured somewhat since then regarding the accumulation/transfer of points/levels, etc)

Also note that we'll need many (small) variations on the same icon to show each level/etc .
Feel free to submit a few iterations - then upon win we'll have you finish out the set.
Please submit the designs with an 80x80 pixel icon (of whatever) so we can see how you imagine it attached to the icon.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Users of our system are around 70% female, with a decent scattering across a wide age range (22 - 70). If I were to guess, I'd say the majority are between 35 - 55. That said, there are some high-tech users who enjoy self-statistics tracking and are very familiar with the likes of twitter and the social web, and there's a good chunk of people who will likely not belong to another social network.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We're not a garish site (we're a facebook, not a myspace), and since the design will sit under the user's icon it shouldn't be too distracting. Subtle, but obvious...?

Graphic design needed for Mobile Networking iPhone App

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Hi! We're the creators of Say Hi! - an iPhone application that allows you to chat with people around you for free from your phone. With Say Hi! anyone using an iPhone will know when their friends are around, and have the ability to discover a new network of people who share their interests using GPS. Just turn on your phone and say hi to the world around you.

Here is how we help people connect:

-We help friends connect on the fly and navigate their social lives by orienting them to people, places, and events

-We help singles chat, meet and possibly become romantically involved

-We help business users share expertise, business contacts, and job opportunities

We're looking for a talented creator to help us with some graphic design work for our application.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

-57x57 iPhone application icon
-512x512 version of the same icon for use in the iTunes App Store
-3 bottom tab bar picture icons (color: white, format: PNG) for the following application features: My Profile, Search, Chat
-a 48x48 default profile image for user's without a profile picture
-a logo to be located in the top left-hand portion of the application header

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

iPhone users interested in social networking

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

-For the 57x57 application icon and 512x512 App Store version, we'd like to incorporate the logo used in the application and the text: Say Hi! We'd like to see a smart, creative application icon that is interesting and appealing to users, describes what our product does, and displays the name of our product (Say Hi!). To give you an idea for a logo, we've used the sideways emoticon smile icon :-) as a temporary placeholder logo. In our opinion, the emoticon :-) conveys the social networking aspect of our application, the instant messaging feature of our application, and our desire to help users connects. The ideal logo will convey an idea in the image of our product name.

-I believe the bottom tab bar icons are 32x32 per the SDK. See http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=tab+bar+icon+iphone&start=10&sa=N

-An image (without text) for the default profile picture is fine. Please be gender neutral in the design.

-For the application icon, text-based is encouraged. Simplicity, presentation, and creativity is ideal: think of the amazon.com (with the from A-to-Z arrow incorporated in the logo) and google.com logos as a starting point and approach for the Say Hi! logo. The approach of using a subtle additional image to enhance the impact of the text-based logo will also be considered.

The location and color of the logo may or may not blend in with the color of the light blue iPhone header bar. For an example, see how Feint users their logo within the iPhone application here: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/02/17/openfeint-a-plug-and-play-social-platform-for-iphone-games/

Sand Jewelry--Stepping up

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Sand Jewelry is currently laying the groundwork for a successful PR campaign and needs a better look for the website, before the magazine issues go to press. We have some celebrity/Hollywood exposure currently going on as well.To get an idea of what it represents, please visit the latest interview on Stylelist:http://www.stylelist.com/blog/2009/02/17/sand-jewelry-indie-designer-interview/.
This is a one woman show, so I've done everything on my own so far and have zero design experience.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

The website was made using a basic editing program (yahoo sitebuilder) that allows for importing of images and full customization. Site currently looks like this: www.shopsand.com.
I am looking for a more beach, happy, free feeling template or images that can be incorporated into the current layout to enhance the jewelry and visual experience. However, I am open to new design ideas. Since I use that program, the images need to be JPEG or can be opened in Adobe Ilustrator or Photoshop. For example the brown bars, colored fun fonts, buttons, etc. were created and imported from Illustrator.

The current layout feels bare and I plan to change the pictures to ones that will have the jewelry on white. Thus, there will be too much white on white and need a new look/feel for the background.
The idea is to keep the layout simple and full, but not cluttered. Something that references nature and color combination would be interesting, especially in an artful way.
Basically, I just need new images for buttons, graphics, bars, etc.
If it's not clear, I can be reached on email: therese@sandjewelry.com

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The target audience is quite broad. We've been pitching to moms, working professionals (20-60) and teens.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The logo is the only thing I will not change.
