Apptizr is currently a website that offers personalized iPhone app recommendations to users based on their interests, similar to StumbleUpon or Pandora. We are currently only serving the iPhone platform but we are looking to expand to other platforms over time (Android, BlackBerry, etc). The service is live although it&apos;s currently in private alpha. Interested designers should sign up for the service to get a sense of what the service is about. Our tagline is &quot;serving up great apps based on your tastes&quot;.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We would like ideas for a new logo design that can be used both for our website AND an iPhone app icon (100px by 100px). We currently have a text based logo (as seen on our website). We would like the new logo design to include a text based elements (you can use our existing design or recommend new ones) plus a graphical based design that can go on the left of the text for the website logo AND as a stand alone icon for an iPhone app (not yet developed). The graphical element needs to convey what apptizr is about - helping users easily find mobile apps. One idea is around an image of icons of a bunch of mobile apps served on a silver platter (playing on our tagline), but we are definitely open to all ideas. We also like the general color schemes of our current logo/site but are open to change.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target users are heavy mobile application users. Currently our service is limited to the iPhone although we may expand to other mobile platforms over time (Android, BlackBerry, WebOS, etc). We want these mobile app users to think of Apptizr as the easiest and best way to discover high quality and cool apps for their iPhone or mobile device. They should think of Apptizr as cool, high tech, and easy to use.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like the Open Table logo and iPhone app icon because it has the name, but also the graphical image that depicts tables and is versatile for both their website and the iPhone app. Mint.com&apos;s logo and iPhone app icon is also good in this way. We like the 4Square logo and iPhone app icon because it&apos;s simple and unique.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don&apos;t want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

For our website logo the design needs to include the name &quot;apptizr&quot; (again, you can simply use our existing logo or you can create your own), but it also needs a graphical element preferably to the left of the name. The ideal graphic is roughly square in dimension so it can be used for the image to the left of the &quot;apptizr&quot; name but also as a stand alone icon for our iPhone app. The design should look good with our existing color scheme of our website (silver/ grey / orange). Given the fact that the icon needs to work as a iPhone app icon, it needs to look good when it&apos;s dimensions are small (say 40px by 4px), so it shouldn&apos;t be too complicated. </description>

Liveclicker (http://www.liveclicker.com) is a stealth mode B2B Internet technology company specialized in online video and e-commerce.  We work with high end clients like Costco, Crate &amp; Barrel, Famous Footwear, REI, and Ogilvy Interactive.  We&apos;re all about mystery, subdued energy, and explosive potential.  We&apos;re creative and playful, yet we&apos;re credible and established enough that folks with gray hair take us seriously without thinking twice.  We despise arrogance, &quot;by the book&quot; approaches to B2B creative, and collateral that looks like &quot;everything else&quot; out on the market.  Still, we need to remain credible while reflecting our energetic, playful, and innovative approaches to online video for e-commerce.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking for an experienced B2B designer that has the ability to take our current set of collateral from &quot;tired&quot; to &quot;wired.&quot;  We need a designer who can look at our current designs, create new Word Docs and PDFs that are ready to distribute to end clients.  &quot;Templated&quot; looks are preferred.  We need you to take each piece of uploaded collateral with this project, place it in a new &quot;look and feel&quot; you create, and ensure the finished piece looks pro.  We&apos;ll also need you to ensure each finished piece can be edited both using Acrobat Pro (PDF).  The ability to edit finished products in MS Word 2007 for *PC* is preferred, but not required.  Don&apos;t let this last request stifle creative innovation.  I&apos;m less concerned about editing in word than getting a kickass set of materials back.

Use of gray, blue, and green in the collateral is required.  Other colors can be introduced as you see fit.

We&apos;re seeking a credible B2B tech design minus the uninspired creative - no &quot;Matrix&quot; themes or random strings of 0&apos;s and 1&apos;s here for creative effect.  Puke.

Please note that the only files you&apos;ll have to work with are attached to this project posting and the graphics on liveclicker.com (which are not vector graphics).  Additionally, we don&apos;t know the name of the font used on the Liveclicker logo.

If you have ever watched women’s pool on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classics, or on a variety of International Networks, then you are likely to be familiar with the Women’s Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) and its professional players. 

The WPBA was created in 1976 as the first and only women’s professional billiard tour.  It is a not-for-profit, member-owned organization that hosts professional billiard tournaments featuring top-ranked players from all over the globe.   The organization has grown from its roots as a playing tour into an international entity involving many facets of billiards.  The WPBA is dedicated to the advancement of women players and advocates to increase players’ involvement worldwide.   

As the premiere women’s professional tour worldwide, the WPBA is home to several universally recognized &quot;stars&quot;, such as Allison Fisher, who is already one of the most visible sports personalities on television, particularly ESPN.  She is considered by many sports experts and professional players to be one of the most accomplished athletes of all time.  We have Jeanette Lee, aka &quot;The Black Widow&quot;, who is ubiquitous within the billiards world, with millions of fans around the globe.  Her popularity has helped spur growing interest and participation in cue sports.  We have Xiaoting Pan, who is a mega-star and has amassed unprecedented recognition in her homeland (China) and was honored with the opportunity to carry the Olympic torch during the opening ceremony at the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing.  We also have the young Austrian, Jasmin Ouschan, who has quickly made her mark on the WPBA tour as a fierce and powerful opponent.  She regularly participates in world-class, open events featuring the top male players.  


HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

With stronger, more consistent, and more accessible branding, the WPBA will create opportunities to level the playing field with other professional sports organizations, increase the value of exposure for partners and sponsors, upgrade the fan experience and ensure WPBA members receive the same opportunities and benefits as other professional counterparts around the globe.

Our first step to improving the WPBA brand is to develop a new logo.  We need a logo that can be used on the website, in print, on merchandise, and on patches and stickers.  The logo needs to be the common thread across a wide range of media, so it needs to be versatile and clean.  While we think integrating “WPBA” into the logo is important, we are not expecting it to be the centerpiece.   In other words, we are open to any design with the WPBA integrated nicely.  

This logo will appear on a variety of media so it needs to be clearly seen and recognizable at a distance.  The logo should be simple and timeless, yet incredibly elegant and sophisticated in its design.  Finally, the logo should not be overly masculine or feminine, but rather neutral.  Ideally, the logo should be able to work in different colors.

When people see the logo, they should see the logo as an extension of the WPBA, which would be clean, strong, timeless, fluid, universal/worldly – It should articulate confidence and grace.

If you happen to preview the current website (www.wpba.com) please don&apos;t limit your ideas to anything you see here... The intent is for an eventual rebranding of all things, including the website, colors, etc.

Nike, Rolex, Lexus, Adidas, Jaguar, Hilton, LPGA…basically anything that gives us a separate icon to be used individually for product use as well as being able to adapt it with our WPBA type in an all inclusive logo.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don&apos;t want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The icon within the logo should portray a ‘cutting edge’ sports look…clean and strong.  We would like it to show energy, elegance and simplicity.  We would also consider the use of a beautifully designed ‘W’ to include these same concepts…simplicity is a must.

We want to shy away from any kind of ‘stock design’. Example: No ‘cut and paste’ women with cue in silhouette designs… Classic 9-ball, 8-ball, cues, cue stick or rack, over use equipment related graphics.  

A reference or something symbolic to playing the sport of pool in the logo is not required, though would be considered if you can make it happen tastefully.  People have tried to use pool balls in the past unsuccessfully, so we suggest avoiding that route.  </description>

Not satisfied with the current “Taco Truck” serving gourmet food in Los Angeles, we went out and found a British Double Decker Bus, we figured add another level, take things to a new level.

WORLD FARE IS COMING!   After months of kitchen design and redesign the bus is being built! A full kitchen on the bottom, with rooftop dining open air! Bar Counter height granite tables and granite counters around the railing it will be the place to eat. Lounge music and soft white LED lighting under the tables. 

The bus is going to be launched in Los Angeles and we want it to be a place to have a great meal with like minded people, the bus is going to bring people together through different flavors, textures of our international dishes. We are taking the best of global dishes and making them available through our Chef&apos;s interpretation on these specialties. Great food is a cornerstone of what we are doing and integral to the success and branding of the concept. The bus: timeless, non pretentious, streets of LA.

The upstairs deck will have a black floor, white granite counters going around the outside of the bus so people can stand and eat and socialize.

There will be 3 umbrellas on the rooftop deck please see images of umbrellas below.

The sides of the bus will be lit at night with Halogen lights, we definitely want striking images and bold colors.  

The Skin wrap of the bus needs to make a statement tell a story at the very least it needs to depict something worldly and something to do with food, it is a double sided billboard that will be the first thing that gets people interested in the bus.  It will define the brand story.

We are really excited about this business and brand we are trying to create and we can&apos;t wait to see some exciting ideas from the Crowdspring community that hopefully can become our first mobile restaurant.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need an initial design for the full wrap of the bus, a side view can be presented firstly with maybe the wrap on the front as per bus image view below.  This needs to tell the brand story and vision.  It is important that this image needs 

There will be no windows on the side of the bus so the design can be a flat design all the way along the side.  

Firstly a design concept will be chosen based on the design concept   On project award we will  need artwork for the full die lines that are given.  We need this in high resolution as we will be making this the size of the bus.  

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

We have 3 major customers, Professionals, 25-50 hard working want to grab a good lunch but they just want to step out the building to get it. 11am - 3pm Event catering - same audience as above the bus is mobile and will create the event. Possible Bar and DJ on the top deck, kitchen serving food below. Late Night Club/Bar Crowd, 21 - 40 party goers leaving the bar and club who want the night to continue and have some great food.

The Sewing Studio, a fashion design &amp; modern sewing studio opened in Pasadena, CA to teach kids, teens, and young adults (ages 8 to 30) how to sew their own clothes inspired by popular famous fashion designers.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a new logo that will help build our brand in Los Angeles. It will be used on our website and need to associate us with a hip, young, do-it-yourself fashionista. The logo would also appear on our marketing materials including tee shirts, signage, business cards and fliers.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audiences are mostly upper-middle class working parents who pay for the fashion sewing classes for their kids and teenagers that are interested in fashion. Many of the students find us online and want to become fashion designers or just want to learn a new skill and gain a sense of accomplishment by creating something from nothing. All my students and their parents alike respect the credibility and association my staff and I have with the nearby college Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (www.fidm.com). My teen and young adult students all watch the popular TV show “Project Runway” and “The Hills”.

We feel it is important to brand the Beth and Dan Team as well as it is important to start branding Dulles Area Home Sales.  Short term marketing will be to brand the Team as we are new to the business and building our reputations, while long term will be to build brand recognition for Dulles Area Home Sales as a company first class real estate company to work with.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We want something that is clean, classy, and will reflect our modern, technology approach to marketing and communicating with our customers and clients.  Colors may be based around reds, blues, white, black, but we are open to creative submissions.  Bottom line is, we want it to stand out, but it needs to work in all of our platforms.  (Web, Print, electronic, Clothing, Promotional,etc.)   We are a Long and Foster affiliate, (see www.longandfoster.com)  so colors that work well with that logo may be strong candidates, but not this does not mean we are not open to all other considerations.
We also are avid boaters, (not sailors).  So, a niche market that we hit will be the boating community.  Any logos that may reflect this niche or a nautical theme would also be strongly encouraged.

One logo for use on the website and for use on PowerPoint presentations for training purposes.  The design should be simple, yet professional to symbolize Sum-Met.

Sum-Met is different as a corporate name from two points:

1. Sum-Met like a mountain top, something to be achieved, a destination, yet a goal.  
2. Sum-Met is also a mathematical term, the sum of all parts - this reflects a team approach too.  Project Management is an algorythm, or mathematical process.  So, when we bring together all the pieces, then we have the whole.

Sum-Met is also environmental aware and people oriented.

From a design perspective, there are several options to go.  A stylized &quot;SM&quot;; or, &quot;M&quot;; or, mountain, maybe in gold colour.  Very simple lines.  Yet, I am open to ideas and concepts.  I have seen some very good work and examples which I would not have thought of before.  

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Private and public sector organizations in Canada, with a focus on Ottaawa, Toronto and Vancouver.  The audience is bilingual (French and English) and would be at a management level - either aspiring to be or having attained a management position.

Tortuga means turtle in Spanish, and we will incorporate that imagery into our brand. We chose the name because turtles carry their homes on their back just like traveling backpackers.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo. The logo must have two parts that can be used together or independent of each other.

The first part is an image that sleekly reflects the Tortuga brand. It should incorporate a turtle motif, but it doesn&apos;t need to be too obvious. 

The second part is the company name, TORTUGA BACKPACKS, written as a unique trademark. The font and style should reflect our company.

When used together, the image should rest above the written logo.

We like simple and clean designs that will be long-lasting. You may think this is a corporate logo project because we are a professional career seeking group.

(1) Color

The main color of Kellogg School of Management and Northwestern University is purple. So, we would prefer colors that go well with purple. Please visit these two sites.

(2) Shape

In terms of shape, the world is your oyster. Please show your creativity.

Although we have no preferences for fonts, we would like the one that can be easily recognized.

We set them up with a Content Management System and teach them how to use it. So for day to day changes, anyone who followed a short tutorial can make changes to the site, hence the autonomy emphasis.

Now with a name like OTONUM we see our offer as a way to break free from gravity, like an electron jumping out of its orbit. Would like to illustrate the concept of breaking out of the box, standing out in a crowd, jumping out of orbit.


HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need a Logo that would reflect our values and elements of our offering.

1) A graphical representation (eg: the apple in Apple&apos;s brand, or the swoosh in Nike&apos;s.) which can be picked and stuck onto the end of a sentence or word; a bit like a subscript asterisk that you would add to draw some ones attention to terms and conditions at the end of a letter or contract.

We are the local section (chapter) of SAE International – formerly known as the Society of Automotive Engineers.  We serve the engineering community of practicing engineers as well as college chapters of our organization, and cover a geographic region centered on Chicago from the Wisconsin border south to Kankakee and west to Rockford.  Our technical community has involvement with areas of vehicle engineering, design, and development in areas ranging from passenger cars, to commercial vehicles (trucks and construction equipment) and even into aeronautics and space vehicles.  While we have the strongest historical association with the automotive industries (the “A” in SAE) we do currently serve a broadened audience that extends into construction equipment, aeronautics, and marine engineering.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a new logo design that would be primarily used on banners and placards at our events.  It should suggest our tie to our parent organization (incorporation of SAE bug, use of same blue color scheme) and should evoke our tie to the automotive vehicle industry, and would be nice if it also suggested our Chicago location.  (Yeah – you could use the skyline, but everyone uses that).  Maybe there is something you could do with other iconic Chicago images like – Navy Pier, the Chicago Theater marquee, Buckingham Fountain, the Millennium Park “Bean” sculpture, the stars of the Chicago flag, Chicago Water Tower, etc.

It should be fresh and bold – but not too cartoonish.   Color use should be confined to our corporate Blue and perhaps with black added.

To be best used on horizontal banners, or along the top/bottom of placards it should have a horizontal layout with an aspect ratio of between  2:1 to 4:1. (Length:Height)


OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Principally our own membership and event guests who are getting tired of looking at our old felt banner that looks like it belongs to a high school sports team from the 1950’s.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

The SAE bug – that would be good to incorporate – notice that the slanted characters implies motion and the line through the center is reminiscent of a highway dividing line:


The Washington DC section has a great logo that suggests their location, incorporates the SAE bug, and uses the preferred color scheme.

Milwaukee section of SAE has a skyline logo that incorporates (I guess) the city’s distinctive Art Museum (on the left).  Don’t like this one quite as much as the Washington DC.

Maybe something could be done with the word “Chicago” similar to the Bandag logo where the tail of the “g” has a tire tread pattern (suggests vehicle industry) where the SAE bug is worked into the tread pattern.


WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don&apos;t want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

In the logo we may be referred to as The Chicago Section of SAE”, or “SAE Chicago Section”.  No other naming method is permitted.  (No references such as SAE International Chicago Section).

The logo must be either black, white on a dark background (dark is any equivalent color value richer than 50% black), PMS 301 blue, or a suitable dark blue.  Sufficient contrast must be created between the logo, type, and background as to allow readability from a distance.

The Section logo cannot “sandwich” or cover / obstruct the SAE bug.

The official parent organization’s rules on what can be used can be found in Section 5.2.5	Policy for SAE Logo Use – which is posted online at:

Turnbull Bowles is a boutique law firm based in Sydney, Australia with a 30 year history of legal practice in building disputes, residential defects, commercial litigation and strata law. 

We act for Owners Corporations (a corporation that owns the common property in a residential apartment building), individual property owners, builders and developers dealing in front-end contract issues, such as negotiation and drafting of contracts for construction projects, and back-end disputes, such as litigation in the Courts and Tribunals. 

We regularly appear in high profile, multi-million dollar disputes and we have been involved in a number of precedent setting court cases. 

Words that resonate with the firm’s approach are ‘focused’, ‘expert’, ‘efficient’, ‘professional’, ‘trust’, ‘success’, ‘confidence’ and ‘reliable’.


HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A new and fresh logo, business card and stationary design.

We would like something different for our logo. The logo should be engaging and we would prefer it doesn’t look like a run of the mill law firm logo.

It needs to be able to be photocopied on documents or sent by fax and still be clear and legible.  The logo will only be shown on a white background so please don&apos;t show reversed logos (white on black).

We are very open to seeing different kinds of design, like ‘web 2.0’ style designs.

We would like a range of entries and we are not really keen on just having the “t” “b” and “l” in the logo, something more would be great. The letters would be good in a very stylised way, but we really want entries that focus on more than just typography.

The logo must copy well in black and white so darker colours will probably work better, but we are open to your ideas.

The logo will be shown on website, letterhead, envelopes, business cards, emails, brochures, signage and word documents. It will be printed most of the time in black and white, but on folder labels, signage and the like, it will be in colour.

The logo is the most critical part of this project.

The business cards will need to have a lot of whitespace area (will be printed on white or crème heavy cardstock), feature the logo, the name of each attorney, phone and fax address, e-mail, and website address.

The stationary needs to have very efficient use of an A4 sized sheet of paper, that is the details of the firm shouldn’ take up too much vertical space on the page. What we want is to be able to maximise the content we can put in each letter. We don’t want it to look squashed, but currently our name and address details dominates our letters so we would like to balance it a bit more.

We are open to the varied use of colour, but don&apos;t want a logo that is too busy. It needs to be professional and speak to the strengths of the firm.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don&apos;t want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The logo must be able to:
-	be printed in colour or black and white (for faxes); 
-	be set up as a Word template for faxes and letters; and
-	be able to be printed in black and white and colour.

It is essential that the logo is clear when photocopied/scanned/faxed doesn’t turn into a big mess of black when it is photocopied.

We must not have a traditional old school law firm logo, or have ANY scales of justice or things like that that scream “American Law Firm” (have a look at a lot of US law firm websites and you will see what we mean).

The business cards may be able to be printed in colour, and should not contain images, they need to be very professional and minimalist (other than the logo). We will likely have the cards printed on heavy white or crème card stock. Font selection will be key.

The stationary design should focus on efficient use of an A4 sheet (Note – we do not use ‘legal’ or ‘letter’ size paper, we use A4 size paper in Australia).   By efficient, we mean that the logo and our name and address should be sized and placed to allow the maximum content in the page.  

The letterhead needs to include the firm’s name, address, telephone, facsimile, e-mail and web address and a footer which states “Liability limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation”. 

The letterhead should allow us the maximum space possible to write in the letter, without looking too crammed in there.  We don’t need any design down the edge of the paper, but something at the base of the page in the footer is ok.

Notes:
- The logo doesn&apos;t necessarily need to have an associated icon and could be just text treatment. It is written &quot;Theorypedia&quot; and should be sans-serif.

- Logo should have a vector version for print use.

- The header design needs to incorporate all of the current elements shown in the uploaded example.

Our primary competitors include StubHub, TicketsNow and TicketNetwork.  TicketMaster is often confused as a competitor, but they sell new tickets (not resale).  However, we want to send a message of a strong corporate brand much like a TicketMaster.

We need a logo that portrays a strong sense of confidence, (nothing cartoonish for example) and ties together what we are trying to accomplish - resell tickets at a fair price.

We need a logo designed which will be used in print, powerpoint presentations and online.  We also need a nice business card designed which fits with the logo.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

We are not a consumer-facing company, but rather we provide our technology and services as a plug-in solution for companies and websites who list jobs.  So we will be interfacing with high-level executives at very large companies, and should have a brand identity which feels groundbreaking but not flashy and trustworthy but not stodgy.

We differentiate ourselves from other recruiting tools because we use intelligent analysis and matching based on the results of an online assessment and 30 years of advanced psychological research rather than relying solely on other, less-reliable things such as a résumé.  We want to convey a sense of trust, understanding and accuracy. Much of our matching technology is &quot;black-box&quot; so our clients can not see _how_ it works, so they must trust us to provide them with the best possible results.


WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like very clean, utilitarian designs. Using just 1 or 2 colors is preferred. We like sharp, contemporary sans-serif fonts. The business card can be double-sided and can be full-color but should be clean and professional as well. Bonus points for use of Comic Sans (kidding!).
