Disclosure: This design includes photos, illustrations or fonts created by others and if the buyer picks it, they'll have to buy the rights. (?)
COLORS: Bright and cheery, feminine but not "girly." Clean and straightforward layout.
FONTS: Excluding the logo, 3 fonts are used. One decorative for primary titles, a sans-serif for secondary text, and a standard web Arial font. The decorative font is meant to maintain the femininity of the piece, be legible, provide strength, "humanize" the site via a handwritten font, but not overdo it with a fancy script font.
TECHNICAL: Optimized for low rez (1024x768) monitors. Page fits in window without scroll bars.
OTHER THOUGHTS: Since the proposed demographic covers a fairly large range (25 - 50), my efforts were focused on bridging that gap. College-age computer-savvy women may view and use the site differently than, say, a stay-at-home mom.
The goal / purpose of the site is not immediately evident. The text and images in the media window could help with this, and the "What, How, Why?" navigation could use some clarifying.
