I really like the picture, the logo, and the button layout. I forgot to mention in the brief and previous comments that we will also need a FAQ button.
I'm open to scrolling pics like you mentioned. If you find any others that are as dramatic as this one, then great.
Also, I think this is the best font I've seen for this project.
Below the pic, we've got changes to propose. We only need one button: the "Get Shipping Discounts Now" button. This is the critical element that we need people to click on. Also, and this could go in the header, we need an 800 number that is prominent.
I think we were unclear in our description of the "scrolling partners". See freightquote.com's homepage to see what I mean. This is a flash based element and we don't want it to take up nearly the space that you've got here.
I like the box icons you've got and really like the footer.

This is my first entry, incorporating the requirements on your brief. The main points to note are.
1. Clean, easy to use, organized and uncluttered layout. Used a color scheme based on your logo. The design contains standard sections such as header, main body and footer.
2. Use of web 2.0 design elements such as rounded boxes, gradients and web safe fonts.
3. Header area is above the fold. Includes logo, and navigation. The main picture can rotate with other images (plane, train, etc.) and slogans for a more stunning and dynamic effect such as here: http://livepaths.com
4. On the main content area are included the sections you requested (partners, columns with information, Instant messaging image, call to action button, etc.).
5. Footer area with additional navigation as requested and copyright.
6. The design is optimized for 1024 px and bigger screen sizes with an active area of 970 px, but due to Crowdspring upload policies, an 800 px version is presented Images, background color, text and images are only placeholders use to illustrate the design. They can be changed for the final version with anything that fits your vision.
I’ll wait for your feedback. Let me know if I’m going on the right direction or if you would like to see other designs.
