This is a really good first effort. Everything below the header is really strong. You followed our instructions and this layout will fit the content we already have written.
We like the font. We also really like the spacing and the uncluttered feel.
We will only need one button below the initial text, and perhaps the button should be something that sticks out more from the blue background. Instead of using blue again perhaps something that sticks out more, like yellow, orange or red...whatever sticks out but still looks nice with the design.
We are not fans of the everything from the Stock boat photo upwards. Our business actually doesn't do any type of boat shipments, so its not an appropriate phot for our business. We do however do lots of shipments on planes and freight trucks. I have a feeling that there is probably a sweet way to incorporate a plane, but if something with a truck works better, we are open to seeing that as well. For this and future designs, we are not insisting that there is a plane or truck, but there just can't be a boat.
For the logo, we are really going to be branding our business as "ShippingDiscounts.com". So the discounts portion needs to at least have a capital "D" and end in ".com"
Also, on the nav bar is basically just floating links, not sure if we can come up with something slightly stronger and buttons that are more defined or distinct.
