Awesome entry. I completely understand what you've tried to achieve with your minimal pictures/graphics. On the whole it's worked incredibly well. I particularly love the font & colors of the site title and the radar icon for the logo. Also previously I haven't liked any of the boxes around the blocks but yours work perfectly.
That positive stuff said, here are my negative thoughts:
- Not sure I like the square blue backgrounds of the 'login', 'search' and 'vote' buttons. Can you think of something different?
- I'm glad you tried to move the 'Industry' and 'Regulatory Area' blocks but these are the only two that have to stay where they are: side-by-side along the top of the content blocks.
- Can you be more adventurous with the 'resource centre' icons? I think it's one of the best opportunites to make the page look more exciting.
- Finally I'm not keen on the way you've split the footer in half. I think it may make it slightly hard for visitors to find the links.
