hi,

I was looking over your design once again and I have few more things I would like you to ask:

1) we would like to have there somewhere "twitter box" with our latest tweets - could you put it there?

2) and in general: there is not so much space for any future content boxes, that will surely and no doubtly come. could you make some suggestions for this kind of problem? maybe whole another column? or maybe more strips like the one with "our sponsors"?

thanks and looking forward

Hi,

we really like this design. thanks for the submission

we would like you to ask to try few things differently:

1) even though boxes for sections are nice idea (and nicely designed as well), it has no use for us, because we are going to have simple chronological list of articles.

2) I like the idea of a strip with our sponsors and sponsored messages, but could you move it more close to the top? somewhere into the middle, maybe?

3) I also don´t like so much the icons for following - don´t you want to try to look for some else?

beside that:

we really like the header with nicely done menu, footer, and in general the lucidity and simplicity

and to your question: you understood the idea of snapshots excellently :)

looking forward for another variation

Disclosure: I created everything in my entry and I didn't copy anyone else's concept. (?)

Hi Sveek, I just finished designing the home page. I hope it's not too late though.

While designing I got the feeling that this website will handle plenty of content, plenty of daily visitors, thus requiring a lot of content management and bandwidth. For that reason I avoided using too much design details and decided to go with a simple, clean and newspaper-like style.

One thing that makes this design stand out is I think the little a-bit-rotated-background behind the images - detail inspired from the logo.

As for the articles listing, I tried to avoid the generic listing and got the idea of categorizing articles by... well category :) Also there is the next and previous button which the end-user can see more articles while not leaving the homepage. This can be accomplished with AJAX, if you plan to implement it in the development phase.

The idea of the partners listing at the bottom was to have logos listed in an overlay style and show the real colors only when a logo is mouse-overed. I've seen this approach on some websites, probably the reason is to avoid too much different colors.

I think the rest is self-explanatory.

Overall I tried to focus not just entirely on the design, but also on functionality, usability while thinking also as a coder.

One think I don't quite catch is the snapshot segment. Is this how you emagined?

Let me know what you think or how can I improve the design better.
