in general we like this design. Here are few notes that we would like you to try:
1) we don´t like the main box with member login and main article. Login box don´t have to have so much space and main article will not be only an image (it should have title, opening text and date)
2) would you be so kind and try some other footer? we especially don´t like the section with partners - partners should have bigger logos
3) please also try another "follow us" box - this is exactly the same like on mashable.com and we would like to be original
