These are three fantastic designs and we're very glad we invited you to participate... In particular I love the colors and brightness in this one which defied my expectations and created a really elegant design.
The only thing I suspect might be a problem is that the site seems like it is only for this one book and although the focus should be on that book, the site is an umbrella site for the author (John Gartner). It is the author's site featuring his new book, not a single book site discussing the author. Is there any way to change the header to give that impression? I think the author will feel he is missing from his own site a little ;)
I would say that this applies to all three of the designs.
Personally I could see him choosing any of these three designs (so keep them up). It just depends whether he goes light or dark. He has made a preference for dark, but I just think he will like this beautiful light color...
