I try to make some changes to the menu-bar, and adding current news in the sidebar.

No worry about the button-like link menu, you dont have to create button-like link because the link is created using css, so it is very flexible because the text is real text not image.

Hello again,

Please find attached a screenshot of what Comp #03 looks like in context on a web browser with a 1024x768 screen resolution.

I have carefully designed each comp with this standard screen resolution in mind, so that your latest book is what will appear "above the fold" (ie. before the user ...(more)

And lastly, here is a design variation with a dark background.

In this comp I've treated the content areas below the book feature differently, and have added a spot where you could potentially highlight your latest blog entry, etc.

Hello again,

Please find attached my second design comp.

It utilizes a similar design approach as my last comp, with the primary navigation bar being the major difference.

Also note the alternate header treatment, and an adjustment to the "rotating banner" option with a button that says "more >" (this could link to more ...(more)

Hello,

I am pleased to present my first entry.

It highlights John Gartner's latest book "In Search of Bill Clinton" front and center. I've included three buttons (labeled with numbers "1" through "3") as an example of how this main banner could transition between multiple promotions and/or key messages.

I have used a ...(more)

Thanks for another creative entry.

Suggestions are to try to ease back on the "ghosting" and maybe try to give the title more attention by making it more graphically interesting...

I think the changes you made have really improved this design. The colors and use of space create a much more pleasing design and (in my opinion) is a leap forward.

Thanks for your improvements and we'll show this one to the client.

Thanks again...

Wow, thanks for all the great new variations.

We really appreciate all the options you've given us.

I think now it all depends on what direction the author goes in...

We're setting up a meeting and I'll let you know how it goes.
