It's an interesting concept, but I'm not sure the cog imagery works well.
Most likely the advertising will be print oriented for the first few years, so the animation effect needed to turn the logo 90 degrees won't be seen for a long time. If the organization makes it big I could see a rebrand moving in this direction when they have the funds to pull it off.
For now I think we should assume that the logo will always be static.
Great idea, but not yet practical for this particular client.
Disclosure: I created everything in my entry and I didn't copy anyone else's concept. (?)
Hi Stokefire!
Happy Holidays!
I'm presenting my proposal for the CauseWorth logo.
I went for a simple, clean yet thought provoking and memorable design. I used the mechanical wheel powering a battery concept using C and W but gave it a major twist.
When you rotate this logo 90 degrees clockwise, you will find that the mechanical wheel and battery transforms into a lit light bulb (shown in black below).
I think this gives warmth and a human side to the logo and to the organization it represents.
I really hope you and your client like this. I believe in it deeply. :)
