Disclosure: I created everything in my entry and I didn't copy anyone else's concept. (?)
Thank you for inviting me to join this project. I am certainly enjoying the experience. When I lived up north, I shopped at food co-op where everything was organic, or very healthy. When I was making your logo, I tried to image what it would look like on that store's shelves.
I kept the Lucida Handwriting, but I played with it enough to make it unique, so that it didn't look like it was typed on a computer. I kept the green and purple. The green, to me, says health. The purple grabs the eye.
I put a little wood grain in the background to give the logo texture and a rustic sort of feel.
I changed the garlic clove to a leaf, in case you wanted to use the logo on other products.
I wanted to add dimension to your logo, without losing that friendly feel. I wanted it to be professional enough to represent the quality of your product, but home-y enough that people would know that it wasn't just getting pumped off an assembly line.
