The icon gives a little 'mysterious' feeling, which may not fit too well with our objective to appeal to the chic urban crowd.
Also, I'd be cautioned in using gradient color because we can anticipate that many mobile devices would not be able to render fine gradient color change properly.

Simple and flexible logo design - design itself emulates a thumb-as-a-button. Colors can be of any palette (or B&W) for SharingPool concept and Coversation Tiles. The font is an easy to read, casual choice to reflect a level of comfort and familiarity without going as far as a 100% hand-written style font.
Use Thumb Dive logo on its own or with the brand name. This one is on black - see other sample for vasious background colors.
