Having seen your other designs, this is still the best by far (although it'd need some work).
I suggest you to modified from this design:
- keep the color scheme
- make the 'bd' to 'bD', straighten it so they won't look cartoon like.
- brainstorm ideas on logo-icon to incorporate color palette idea. The 'td' icon idea may work as well.
- just to get the brainstorming started, may be you can look at the wallpaper magazine icon, and see if it can be evolved into a representative icon that can incorporate color palette.
The color is simple and neat; and as you said it has the benefit of rendering well on a variety of platforms (include low-color-quality mobile device screen)
However the 'b' and 'd' seems to be clashing a bit, and looks a little like wheelchair.
The 'icon' portion is simple, but unfortunately not able to apply the color palette idea to it. The 'tilt' angle is a little bit over as well.
Disclosure: I created everything in my entry and I didn't copy anyone else's concept. (?)
I used a modern, casual font for this design with a trendy yet friendly magenta/brown scheme. The letters imply talking, connectivity. Simple enough to render well on a variety of platforms.
