You've a very cool way to put the 't' and 'd' together. May be it's just me, but I feel like the the 't' is one piece, rather than having a dot by the side.
As for the background of the logo icon, I'm not sure it were just the choice of color palette, it looks a little busy there.
For the name portion of the logo, I would not recommend making it too fancy (such as having the color bar on the top). I'd make the name presented in the sleekest, elegant and timeless way.
