Handwritten font - like 'Agnus b.', is very classy but it's tricky to get it right.
The meaning of the logo icon is not immediately apparent to us as well.

You've the first design that attempt to incorporate the changing 'color palette' idea, thanks!
However, having 5 color in the background is still a bit hard on the eye. We'd prefer to let the 'logo icon' to 'evolve' based on the chosen color palette - without changing the look-n-feel of the ...(

This may look a little too cartoon for the chic, urban crowd we'd like to appeal to.

The color is simple and neat; and as you said it has the benefit of rendering well on a variety of platforms (include low-color-quality mobile device screen)
However the 'b' and 'd' seems to be clashing a bit, and looks a little like wheelchair.
The 'icon' portion is simple, but unfortunately not able ...(

Thanks jdumond for the design.
The use of color is lively, but may not be exactly 'classy'.
For the logo icon, we really do not need to be explicitly show the 'thumb', our objective is really to appeal to the 'chic urban crowd'.

Hi avocadocanada, thanks for your submission and try to incorporate the color palette into the design.
The icon gives a little 'mysterious' feeling, which may not fit too well with our objective to appeal to the chic urban crowd.
Also, I'd be cautioned in using gradient color because we can anticipate that many ...(

Thanks emaya for the submission, the design seems a bit "too corporate looking" and may not appeal to our desire audience too well.

Thanks for the submission.
The color scheme seems to be a little dark, and the contrast is not big enough to clear 'see' the name.
Also, I'd be caution in requiring use of 'gradient' color change because the display on mobile devices could not render as many color as a typical PC ...(

Hi lindaeckel,
Thanks for being the first to submit design, really appreciate it. What I'd like to add, is that the logo icon is preferred to 'create the feeling' that appeals to the target 'chic urban professional'.
So it's not too necessary to be 'explicit' about the thumb ...(

Forgot to mention that I was also still going for the thumb print look in a more subtle way. The "t" could make a great stand-alone icon or favicon.

Simple and flexible logo design - design itself emulates a thumb-as-a-button. Colors can be of any palette (or B&W) for SharingPool concept and Coversation Tiles. The font is an easy to read, casual choice to reflect a level of comfort and familiarity without going as far as a 100% hand-written ...(

This logo I used a sleek, urban chocolate for the main text in a slightly casual but cool lowercase font. I made the second word a different size to make the words separate well without loosing a sleek look.
The icon portion uses a small colorful group reminiscent of people. The colors ...(

Hi, In this logo I used a sheik dark brown and paired it with a little burst of fun color with a small group of individuals. The colorful stick figures represent the circle of people. I included an icon example. It what an app button could look like made from the ...(

I kept going back to the fact that the thumb print is completely personal so worked out a better way to use it. Hope you agree.
Do you have any suggestions?

I focused on showing the interconnectivity of letters to illustrate the same connection among the people using your product.
The color combination is a current one.
I appreciate feedback as do the all rest of us creatives!
Thanks,

Here is my first attempt at your logo. I went with a nice sleek typeset for the font, classy colors and I created a splash graphic for the icon to fit with the 'dive' aspect, as well as ever so slightly hinting at a sharing 'pool'.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! ...(
