Creative brief

hi everyone.

thank you in advance for the help!

i am a filmmaker and am looking for a logo to:

- place at the end of my short films,
- place on business cards
and
- to use when re-building my website which is my next project (presently too dark and clunky...www.randypearlstein.com).

I worked on a sketch show called chappelle's show, wrote a couple of movies including a comedy horror called cabin fever, and I teach writing at colleges across North America.

I am open to anything. I just need an a-grade

'...randypearlstein.com...'

logo - whatever that means to you.

i wish to start creating a brand with the films that i am presently completing.

I will include links to a couple of things that I have done. I primarily do comedy, but do approach it somewhat responsibly...

A logo, memorable, that will represent me positively.

I am a big fan of corporate logos and symbols, so i'm excited to see what can come my way.

Honestly, if you do try to help me out, thanks.

Here are some links.

Hi.

Thanks so much for all the work.

Presently we are trying to Stay Away from all standard film images (slates, reels, etc.). I am interested in a design built specifically around my name.

I do like Icons. I would like an icon designed to use as a logo, which could be based on my intitials RP, or just an R.

I like alot of the stuff on this page:
http://www.crowdspri...emaxx_optical_studio

The name looks sharp. And instead of an eye for eyemaxx, using perhaps an R or RP or....

Someone did mention me, other than letters, using an outline of my head/hairline. That could be totally cheesy, but I am known for it a bit and I do like what they do (although larger than i imagine) at www.albertbrooks.com.

Perhaps an outline on it's own, or in the middle of an R, or just randypearlstein.com, with my outline as the o in com.

strictly an outline, something easy and simple for multiple settings. if it works for you.

a number of pics of me can be found an captured at www.myspace.com/randypearlstein if you see what i'm talking about.

thanks again for the help!!!

hi everybody.
we really like where this is going.
thank you to everyone for your assisistance!

we like the webname, and the RP logos as the focus. - perhaps more color ideas and backgrounds other than black is our only new note (white is crisp for us).

in particular, the subtle use of my hairline is presently making happy. it is nice to give a very professional and straightforward logo (which is exactly what we love and very much need) that little, little, hint of humor that we are looking for.

i will be giving some individual responses for you all to read as well.

again, this means a lot to us. so thank you very much.

yes,

some design or icon (outline or drawing, one line or a couple) incorporating my hair is serving as interesting on our end - as a light touch to an otherwise dependable logo.

for buttons, shirts or sweatbands at live events, and also stationary and business cards at coroporate events, it could be real nice.

this would go, as in the gallery, atop my full name/the webname.

i did a pretty serious lecture last month, and when the dean of the school thanked me he did mention that i ought to improve my website and marketing efforts. in fact, he assisted me in finding the crowdspring site.

thank you everybody.

Hi.

Thank you for all of the hard work.

We know that the project ends tomorrow.

If there was an additional piece of direction that we could provide, it would be the idea of continuing to create a simple logo that offers the ideas of
- dependability,
- simplicity,
and
- experience.

A recognizable image, a name that is capitalized, and something that has grace and seasoning.

We are enjoying working with all of you.

Thanks again.

Hi.
We are really responding to the:
1960's classic advertising, or herman miller modern vibes. Corporate or Institutional creativity.
- With the name capitalized/capital letters for initials.

Anything that would fit into the design of a very cool hotel lobby from that era is exciting us.

Thank you for all of the submissions. If you can, we would love to see more.
