Thanks for submitting this. I very much appreciate you sharing your thoughts about not including a technology icon in a logo. That is an excellent point.
I really like the MMP and the all caps MobileMarketingProfits with the emphasis on Marketing. Having the icon be one specific phone is not what I want. If you want to re-work this one without that icon it, I would like it better.
One other thing - the glossy aspect would look great on my site, but how does that work in print? I'm concerned this look wouldn't work in print.
Disclosure: I created everything in my entry and I didn't copy anyone else's concept. (?)
while designing this, I remembered what my professor said "a good logo should last ten years.. do not use a symbol of technology in your logo... technology is always changing... you will date your logo and it will look old in only a few years"
I did it anyway... but it's something to think about when choosing.
there are subtle differences between what I've done here, and the iphone, for example the power button on the iphone is a square icon.. this one has a power button icon and the receiver hole is elongated.. but it's still a spot on match. I don't know if that's good or bad.
