It's interesting the way you incorporated the gauge into the "G" but I think it doesn't work because when shrunk down, you won't be able to see what the gauge is -- it will be just a gray blob.
Also, per the project spec, when there are times when I need to use just "Altimeter" by itself, it just becomes typography.
