Very nice design, and I like especially how it works with the strong font.
But for some reason, the graphic looks and feels very familiar to me, and it doesn't convey the a gauge, even in an abstract form. While your ideas of overlapping technologies and "burst" are good, they aren't major themes I'm trying to convey.
It's a strong design, but I don't think it's in the right direction of what I'm looking for.

An abstract gauge comprised of transparent ovals forms the basis of the idea that technologies overlap and are measured by Charlene. It can also be seen as a burst of creativity from Charlene's information gathering that is relayed to her clients.
