Very nice design - I like the way you think! The "A" in the design is a bit too abstract -- can you try to lengthen the red and blue bars down a bit, or the tan bar up, to emphasize the "A" a bit more? I don't want to lose the triangle though!
Also, the font is too spread out. The name is hard enough already for people to read, so can you squeeze it in a bit? The font works with the design -- very clean and sharp.
Also, I threw the design into B&W and it works surprisingly well.

The transparency works strongly for this solution as it represents the different aspects of technology as they overlap and help form new solutions. The drop shadow reinforces that the solutions from Altimeter have substance. The bars form an abstract A as a gentle reminder of the name.
