This is my first submission to your project.
I have created a logo with I think meets the criteria set forth in your design brief. It is bold, modern, and portrays a technological vibe.
The icon (the top portion of the A used in "altimeter") has been given a transparent treatment. The shape of the icon resembles an upward arrow, relating to an increase in altitude.
I have given the icon a sense of speed/movement relating to the the idea of technology changing so quickly, and the circular movement of the transfer of knowledge that you provide to your clients... (thinking about your mention of visiting another planet, bringing back info). This also speaks to the idea of guidance.
Anyway, that was my thought process behind the icon. You would need to purchase the rights to use this font is chosen - a cost of just around $20.
I am happy to make any changes you suggest to style, colors, fonts etc.
