I like the combination of colors as it's counterintuitive. But the "gauge" graphic, while very simple and classy, isn't connecting with me. I liked the top design right away, with both the slimmer font and the transparency in the "M".

My only concern with replacing letters with graphics is that people already have a hard time trying to figure out how to read/say "altimeter". I'd be interested in feedback from others on this ...(more)

Very creative -- I like the idea of building the mountain graphic into the words. But I like the next design better because of the transparency.

I like the mountain range, and also tested it in black and white and it works well because of the 3D work.

Creative, but I think this design is too busy. Between the highly stylized "A" and the almost cartoonish meter graphic (I think "Roger Rabbit" looking at the bent arrow), I get confused.

Very nice design -- I like the implied meter in the graphic. Simple too. Still thinking about the lower case - may be too "soft" for a business oriented logo?

It's interesting the way you incorporated the gauge into the "G" but I think it doesn't work because when shrunk down, you won't be able to see what the gauge is -- it will be just a gray blob.

Went with warmer colors, giving it a friendlier look. Also, used the sun rising over the mountains to both represent the Altimeter measuring height, but also, what could be more trustworthy than the sun rising every day?
