Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

IOUmusic is my attempt at a legit music fan club for music pirates. The goal in part is to solicit donations for musicians without their active involvement required but also to build a platform allowing any artists to offer pay what you want downloads or special/limited offerings of their choosing/pricing.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

Logo - geared towards web usage. So our site, social networks, logo or element of it should be usable for avatars etc online. Plausible logo will be used on t-shirts in future as well.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Target audience is forward thinking music fans. Torrent users, music pirates, serious music fans across genres.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I have uploaded a PDF with some logos I just searched out online that I liked.

Colorwise, well i like Crowdspring's use of bright colors. Blues, greens, pink even.

Color-wise/visually I hope my final site is comparable to those ones.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Nothing specific for or against.
Logo is welcome to be a simple typeface, however if so, I would probably prefer that the IOU be all caps and music lowercase [IOUmusic].

In chats with people trying to come up with ideas some of the following was mentioned [feel free to ignore all of it]:
IOU notes vs. music notes,
the I designed with a download arrow and the U with an up arrow [referencing a possible tagline: Download? Payup!],
pirate imagery.
digital transfer 1/0s

I really have no set idea hence the my trying this site for various suggestions.
