Thanks for incorporating my idea about family. I like what you've done with the people. I could even see having a few different versions -- maybe with the woman as the sailor, a single parent and child or a single sailor -- to suit different segments of my audience.
I showed this version to some colleagues and they both said they felt like the font is too cute and bubbly. Could you show me an alternative? I still want the font to match the style of the family icon, but maybe something slightly edgier would work even better.

Making hands is difficult but the word "Family" sounds good to me, so, here's my second attempt.
It's need some more colors adjustment but the idea is here.
