Make sure you zoom in. It looks small because the logo is more elongated than normal, since it is for a blog header.

Disclosure: I created everything in my entry and I didn't copy anyone else's concept. (?)

The coffee mug is sort of an icon of creativity and sophistication. The steam lines coming out have arrowheads to represent progress or a "shift". Colors and typefaces are flexible.
