This is an interesting logo. It does have the feeling of coming together that we are looking to communicate. It does focus a lot on the beehive concept which we are strongly trying to move away from.

Here is my idea for your logo.
I have incorporated a stylized hive and cells are placed in random style, so it tells more about quantity of people/users/workers even more than about hive itself.
Also an orbit around it tells that this is a planet.
