I basically looked at this from a personal perspective. My mom has type 2 and I thought about her and how even with diabetes she is full of life and joy. I guess I parallel the flight of a butterfly and its beautiful uniqueness and anyone that battles this disease. This is the reasoning behind the butterfly image in the icon. I might be off base on what you are looking for, but its a start.
