Yeah I think it does improve it. Would you mind trying a further tweak in shifting the three smaller circles further into the main circle?

Disclosure: I created everything in my entry and I didn't copy anyone else's concept. (?)

This is just a tweaked version of the previous idea. I have made the corners of the 'indents' in main sphere curved, rather than angled.

It's a small change, but helps with the overall appearance of 'smoothness' I think. :)
