Thank you for your response, it's great to receive such constructive comments. I have taken them on board and extended/reworked my designs to include an iconic logo to be used across the blog.
I liked the idea of flames and considered the concept of igniting minds through your blog. Alongside this, I looked at a literal translation of influence, to give guidance and direction, hence the use of arrows to construct the flame logo. I believe this would give your logo a much deeper meaning and relevance to your blog.
I have included a wave within the background in one header example which helps to connect the header as a whole and subtly exaggerates the wave of colour in the background.
I have offered you three logo options which you could use interchangeably across the blog depending on the circumstance, offering you greater versatility.
