I gambled and decided not to go for a straight trace-clone copy of the illustrator's work provided for reference (intending to inject a little energy & flair into the 50s illustration style we've all become so accustomed to, while also allowing the line quality, hair styles & color palette to shine through as retro.) Ah well.

I really like your work ( and the background is great ), but I just don't think this body style is right for this project. I can definitely see using it for something else someday.
