Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a new Web startup creating a space to connect tutors and students. We provide a reliable way for anyone with specific knowledge, and a desire to teach, to find pupils. The flip side of this is a trustworthy resource for anybody to find instruction. Initially we will be focusing on academics but we envision this becoming a useful service for any type of learning.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo. We want to see what our idea inspires you to create. It will be used primarily online and on some stationary (business cards).

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

1) Tutors who want to enhance their ability to market their services. We expect most to be University students (non-gender specific, roughly age 19-30 ).

2) Students: Anyone with a desire to learn.

3) Parents of students.

We are based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. While we will be looking to expand, we are focusing on the North American educational market.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Nike did a pretty good job.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The company name is Matygo. This must be in the logo.

The company slogan is "share what you know." This must also be in the logo, but we would like the flexibility to remove to slogan when necessary. Capitalization in the slogan (e.g. the S of share?) and the inclusion/exclusion of the final period is at your discretion.

In general, we are biased against serif fonts.

While we are in education, we do not want anything too formal or traditional. Conversely, we do not want anything too edgy that might scare away parents. We are seeking broad appeal.
