LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Sub Zero Seafoods - is bringing the highest quality sashimi-grade tuna to North America.
Our tuna is caught on our own long-line fishing boats and immediately frozen to -76˚F (called super frozen) which makes this product fresher than fresh because at this temperature all cellular activity stops absolutely. Sub Zero Seafood's Big Eye Tuna and Yellow Fin Tuna products will be sold at a premium over fresh tuna that is 12-20 days old by the time it reaches your local sushi restaurant or seafood counter.

80% of Tuna in Japan is super frozen for this reason, and we are one of just a couple of companies that are investing in the technology, -76˚ super freezers and the proper handling required for this highly valuable product.

We think the U.S. is ready for the organic, high quality nature of this Tuna.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo that is bold and easily recognizable. The logo needs to represent the super frozen nature of the product, and would most likely (not absolutely) incorporate the likeness of a Tuna.

The logo should not be cartoony,(Sorry Charlie!) or overly complicated as our customers are high-end restauranteurs, sushi bars and upscale grocers. An Asian theme may work, but is not necessary either. (The owners of the company are of American and Russian descent)

The logo will brand our company only, and not necessarily the product, of which our offerings will expand in the years to come. We do envision the branding on retail freezers (super freezers that we will supply) marketing collateral and apparel. (Swag for the industry)

Therefor a badge type logo, or the flexibility to incorporate the main design element into a badge of sorts would be a welcome trait.

We are open to colors but glacial blues or whites that "pop" to represent the -76˚ and warmer colors to represent the deep color of the tuna would be preferable.

I would also like to see a tone on tone version of the logo as if it were embossed into stainless steel. Stainless Steel or Metallic Colors would be pretty cool to see too.

Other elements that might work and would certainly be welcome to see:

* -76˚ as a subtle design element.
* Tuna - (Big Eye and Yellow Fin)
* Upscale / Regal / Luxurious elements (This might be a stretch but we're open to ideas)

The stationary can be a bit more flexible, with the actual logo being the focus and a great deal more flexibility or creativity in the "packaging" of the stationary.






OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Upscale Grocers, Restaurants and Sushi Bars - who will then resell to their affluent, foodie customers. The brand / logo will have direct contact with the consumers by way of educational marketing collateral and advertising pieces.

I'm really open to anything so long as you have read the above - i.e. no cartoony logo's and the logo should be bold and easily recognizable. (would probably rule out most scripty fonts)
